Didn't she ever hear the saying, "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade"? She should have made omelette with those eggs & tomatoes instead.

People's way of protesting is so lame.

I remember when some Hindu fundamentalists burned posters of Water and Deepa Mehta and had the film banned. Like it's a demography so fine express your opinions via words but do not hamper someone else's freedom of expression.

People protested Fire b/c it had lesbian scenes in it. JA was banned b/c apparently Jodha never married a Muslim or something. Banning films is not the way. Either is throwing tomoatoes and stuff. It's so uncivil. Have a mature debate of words over it--way more civil and respectful.

i think as mocococo said it would have been better if decent arguements are carried out and things are solved, rather than undertaking these means!! i dont know much about RL so cant comment on it, but thing is people shouldnt use such means to vent out anger on anyone.. this is common practice here, people think that they wont be able to sort out matter by talks to they get violent!! hope things change here soon so that mannerism and tranquility is retained here

^Agree. It's common practice everywhere...even here in the US. But people can get so much done if they're more civil and peaceful listen to each others' sides. However, when it comes to literature and films--I don't protests are so unneeded--it's an expression of art. Like there should be no limitations or boundaries on it and most of it is fiction. It's fine to oppose things depicted inappropriately or improperly but throwing thems and burning posters and causing chaos just isn't the way.
