Noone can accuse Bollywood films of being dry and boring; regardless of the genre, filmmakers find in their hearts to add some masala to everything. However, even this much needed masala, can't salvage some films and the hamfest that ensues.
Here are 10 Moments We Wished These Bollywood Actors Quit Acting:
1. Shah Rukh Khan: Ra One
Instead of focusing on adult content, the censorboard should focus their energies on restricting the release of films that hurt the audiences' mental faculties. What was Shah Rukh Khan thinking?
2. Hrithik Roshan: Main Prem Ki Deewani Hu
Hrithik Roshan was a few films old when this horrifying ordeal was unleashed on the unsuspecting audience. Hrithik Roshan looked like he was already in character for Koi Mil Gaya; the parrot and the exceedingly annoying Kareena Kapoor just added to the agony.
3. Uday Chopra: Neil n' Nikki
With this movie, Uday Chopra along with his lady love, Tannisha Mukherjee, made us lose faith in humanity one dialogue at a time. Maybe he sensed the wrath of the audience and that's why he only resurfaces for the Dhoom series, when he's sure an ensemble cast is present to overshadow his incompetence.
4. Ajay Devgn: Himmatwala
After this film, we not only wished Ajay Devgn quit acting, we wished the earth split in to two and swallowed him whole! We would have rather had the producer literally burn all the money than make this film.
5. Zayed Khan: General Existence
From Chura Liya Hai Tumne to Fight Club to Blue - Zayed Khan has been a monumental waste of space in Bollywood. We feel exhausted even thinking of his filmography.
6. Deepika Padukone: Chandni Chowk To China
Like a voodoo doll, this film should've burnt before it saw the light of day. Deepika Padukone had a force field of insane around her in this film. Akshay Kumar just ensured we bled from our eyes. Oh the horror!
7. Priyanka Chopra: Anjaana Anjaani
Priyanka Chopra in Anjaana Anjaani was so uniquely vapid; we need a name for the condition! She wasn't just painfully predictable; her performance was eerily similar to slow moving poison.
8. Preity Zinta: Jhoom Barabar Jhoom and Isshq In Paris
The performance that Preity Zinta delivered in Jhoom Barabar Jhoom could wash away your brain. If you're wondering why Preity Zinta deserves a mention of two films, you haven't watched Isshq in Paris. If you're looking for a swift death wish, Isshq in Paris is your best bet!
9. Bipasha Basu: Jodi Breakers
Bipasha Basu in Jodi Breakers makes you want to cut off your arm and chew on it, for the lack of something to do while watching her act. Add to that the pain of listening to "Bipasha, Bipasha"!
10. Nargis Fakri: Rockstar
Notice how we mentioned Nargis' first film? That's because that's when she should've stopped acting! A brick wall could emote more than Ms. Fakri and Rockstar is a testament to that.
