Sumi didn't need it. For some reason DS had lost her voice since the day Ratan came and Ganga left. And from then till now - Sumi has spoken. But this is it - Sumi will now be forever silenced coz one tongue lashing from DS is enough to keep her in line.

DS probably was thinking that Ganga's presence is creating discord in her house and presents danger from Ratan - so if G goes away on her own - it wud be best - and hence didn't stop her. I can't totally blame her - coz at some point you have to think about what is more precious to you.

So I understand DS if she thought its best to let G leave on her own accord.

But Sumi went too far in wanting G to leave even the hospi. Sumi went hysterical as saying cruel wud mean she had some brains and I believe she has never had any.
