Ranveer Singh is keen to reunite with the former flame who, he says, is an excellent performer

Former lovers reuniting on screen has become a major casting trend in Bollywood and Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma too are set for a reel reunion, much to the actor's delight.

Though the two reportedly share an uneasy equation after their almost three-yearlong relationship ended last year , Ranveer is looking forward to working with his erstwhile squeeze.

The two may soon be seen in Zoya Akhtar's next, a multi-starrer centred on the relationship between a woman and her younger brother.

When we contacted Ranveer, he said, "The talks are on but nothing is official as yet. But I have always looked forward to work with Anushka and I am happy now that there is a prospect that I may work with her again."

"I have always expressed the desire to reunite with her because she is the most brilliant and talented actress I have collaborated with so far. She is somebody who was born to be a performer. She is somebody who makes me a better actor," added Ranveer.
Though it is Zoya who is bringing the two back together, Ranveer was earlier supposed to star opposite Anushka in Anurag Kashyap's Bombay Velvet.

"We tried to work it out, but I couldn't because I was committed to Ram Leela. I am excited to see what Ranbir will do with the character," added the actor.

Ranveer who is now in a rather public romance with Ram Leela co-star Deepika Padukone has a long history of being linked to his co-stars, from Anushka to Sonakshi Sinha and now Deepika.

Ranveer justifies it saying, "No doubt. How can you not be attracted? They are all good looking people, all attractive personalities and when you are young and your hormones are raging, then things are bound to happen. It would be hypocritical to deny it."
