Somya Seth was born on 17 October 1989 in Guwahati. She is the cousin of Television Celebrities Ragini Khanna, Amit Khanna and Krushna Abhishek. Her remaining family members live in Amritsar, Punjab.
She started her acting career with Star Plus Serial, Navya..Naye Dhadkan Naye Sawal playing the lead title role along with handsome hunk Shaheer Sheikh. She just causally gave the audition for Navya and was selected for the lead role. She had played a supporting role in the show The Serial on Channel V . she is seen in the show Dil Ki Nazar Se Khoobsurat as the female protagonist along with Abhishek Malik and Rohit Khurana.Recently she seen Yeh Hai Aashiqui on Channel V as lead.
