hi folks,

today's episode evolved mixed feelings..some liked the episode because of akhda romance/nok jhonk shown after a long time..while the others found the romance cheesy and not up to the mark that could create a spark or a long lasting impression like some other very well executed romantic scenes..

now my question to u all arises, is it because we did not get the nursing scene as per promo which kinda misled our thought process..or was it due to the discontinuity of the emotions that left us all confused as to what is going to happen..or is it that we have our biased opinion due to which we r not giving any of their scenes together a second thought?

now if we try to postmortem today's episode, was the akhda scene that bad that we could not connect to it! many of us felt that there was something missing..the continuous falling and holding could not resonate the cord in us..we felt it was forced, maybe not needed or it could have been dealt in a better way..honestly, the scene was beautiful in itself, if we block everything that happened in the past..especially the discontinuity of jodha's emotions and a misleading promo...the scene will create some ripples in our heart! the problem is we cannot forgive and forget that easy...especially when the expectations from such a spectacular show are high..the cvz will not be forgiven for their bloopers!!!

since we all know that the epic love story has begun whether it will be fake or for real, we all know that the nok jhonk will continue for a while until we get to the real love..r we willing to forget what was shown in the promos earlier and the haphazard way of dealing the past/present track and give the cvz another chance to prove to us that they can bring back the lost magic of jodha akbar? well, which according to me is still intact, just needs some polishing in certain areas to bring out the beauty of their love hate relationship..please share ur views as to how u all r feeling the way the current episodes are shaping..i am curious to know who r keen on their love hate story and who all think that they have lost the charm as a result of haphazard execution of tracks!

Well written. This echos my take.
We've had stellar scenes in the past... Dargah, Sword fight, Jodha saving Jalal etc.. Those were a class apart. It did kind of set our expectations higher..
But scenes from last week itself helped reset the expectations as they were not continuous at all. So considering that, today's Akdha scene (inspite of somewhat chessy clichd encounters) wan't bad at all.
I could see a slight change in Jodha - The fact that she quietly joined Jalal for the trip itself was some progression😆😆😆😆😆😆
I loved Jalal today and for that I was willing to not pay too much attention to all other minor details.

i am glad that u liked the boat scene, after reading so many negative posts i thought maybe people r loosing interest in akhda or their magic has faded away due to some misplaced scenes/episodes! i would request cvz to bring back the same quality of work as we had seen in previous episodes, since i am so obsessed with this show i would like it to maintain its its dignity and magic that has hooked us so far!

Mandy,
You've already seen my post on Shyamala Aunty's thread. I replied to your response on there 😊

As for romance, what I loved about JA so far was the lack of cliched encounters. We've seen so many different scenes with different levels of romance, and just about all of them were fascinating because we were treated to something different, for once! I'm so sick of seeing the heroine fall, with the male lead catching her and staring at her while the music swells up in the background. The whole thing has been done to death; that's why I love JA so much! It's a breath of fresh air in an otherwise stale environment of desi serials with their same old plots and scenes and saazishes.

It's my love for JA that brings me to complain about it!

Today's episode did not kill JA for me. I'm fine with a lapse in the story here and there, but I don't want it to become an everyday matter.

i completely agree with u on that, the boat scene looked beautiful because of the actors, the way they portrayed their emotions especially rajat was the highlight of that scene! scenes like this might have been shown time and again but this had a different feel to it, but i would definitely say one thing that this scene was not up to the standard of what jodha akbar has offered us so far when it comes to romantic scenes and not as bad as we think that the cliched scenes could be due to our actors..i hope that the cvz bring out the beauty and glory of our dear show again and not let it die in the hands of the cliched encounters!

Mandy,
It is true we have seen some very magnificent scenes in this serial ranging from the sword fight to the rescue of Jalaal by Jodha. As incongruent as the scene may have been today and as cliched, it was still a beautiful scene. The actors did a wonderful job and watching the nuances of expression cross Jalaal's face made it worthwhile. A moment spared for Jodha and Jalaal alone was much needed. The catch and fall and nursing of wounds may become redundant but at the same time it is a daily serial and the CV's can be allowed an occasional lapse. I enjoyed the subtle changes the characters displayed towards one another behind their professed hatred.

very well said! i do agree that the boat scene could have been better but it was not as bad either! i understand the frustration of some forum members, and it is to do with the incomplete closure post tiger attack on jodha and jalal's emotional front...i too was disappointed on that part, but now i want to give it another chance and see how the story unfolds..and request cvz to maintain the flow and continuity of the scenes, otherwise romance whether cliched or not will not make any sense!
