I am born Hindu, believe in God but not religious, and married to an atheist. For me religious festivals are more about the festivities and the essence of being an Indian (though I don't live in India anymore). I celebrate Eid and Christmas with as much fervor as Durga Puja.
And today after seeing Asif's enthusiasm during the Durga puja celebrations, I have started respecting him. May be it's because he's a Bengali and Durga Puja is such an integral part of the Bengali culture (just like it's a part of my Assamese culture). But he just showed his class today. The next time he gets nominated, I'll vote for him :-)
