I am in the process of writing an update! It should be done within a few hours! Some twists to come and some shocking news to be found out! And finally, the revelation will be soon! But I guess that also means the story will also be over soon. 😔 But worry not my friends! I have ONE LAST story to put up! It's an idea in my head and I'll see if I want to continue with it. 😉

FF: Unspoken part 29

Arnav walked into his room from his shower and stopped to inspect the earlier wound that was nothing but a scar now. He felt hands around his shirtless torso and smiled at his wife through the mirror. She turned him a bit so he was facing her and hesitated at first but then lightly trailed her fingers against the scar. "You don't hurt anymore?" She asked quietly as she looked up at him. He shook his head and then put his own hand on her stomach. "What do you feel?"

She giggled as she stepped away to grab new clothes for him from the wardrobe. "Nothing yet. I think it may take a few more weeks. I don't know if I'm right, but based on my calculations, I'm at nine weeks. I believe there's still a lot of time to go." She passed him the clothes and he gave an uncertain look. "And until the baby is born?"

Khushi snorted a laugh. "A very long time to go! Don't even worry yourself about it now." She went over to fix the bed while he changed and as he opened the vanity table drawer to grab his watch, the little box that contained the bullet caught his eye. He took it and pulled out the bullet - lifting it into the sunlight to get a better look at the odd design on it.

"Do I kill him if I find him?" He asked and Khushi looked over to see what he was talking about. "No," she answered sternly. Violence was never the answer.

"Whoever this was shot me. He wanted me dead," he said in a frustrated tone. He put it away, slamming the drawer shut. Khushi tried to keep her calm at his actions. "Arnav Singh Raizada, if I ever know that the life of someone ended by your hands, I will leave you the very next second."

Arnav stared incredulously at her with wide eyes. "If someone killed your father would you not get revenge?"

Khushi shuddered at the thought of anyone dead, much less her father. She went over to him and took his hand. "Sometimes the worst punishment for a criminal is forgiveness."

"You would forgive someone if they killed your child?" He asked in a quiet tone and made it as personal for her as it can get. Her hand dropped from his. That suddenly put things in perspective for her but as justified as it would be, the question was if it was right or wrong?

"Don't bring our unborn child into this," she glared and turned on her heels but Arnav's rough pull on her arm made her cringe at the tight hold on her arm. It immedietly loosened as his eyes softened. "I can deal with the one who wanted me dead - I don't care, but don't forget, if I ever come face to face with Surya, I can't promise I won't do something."

"Are these words supposed to make me feel happy? Killing him will not bring abba back! Killing another man will only cause bigger problems for everyone and you said yourself that your father always tried to keep the peace around here. And let me answer your question. If someone killed my child, I wouldn't want him alive! But...as a mother, I wouldn't be able to take away another mother's child. I would grieve for long but you have to understand that you can't always deal things with revenge. Humans would be extinct within the next few days if we throw out our morals and get revenge for every wrong that someone has done to us!"

Arnav had his amused expression up and broke into a brilliant smirk after staring at his intelligent wife for some moments after her speech. "You're right," he admitted with a smile. "I guess I'd be dead sooner than anyone else if people acted on rage," he chuckled because he remembered all the times he was rude to people in his village but those people always graciously took in his crap without much complaint.

Khushi gave him a disapproving look then looked behind her as she heard the door open. "Abba!" Adi whined and walked to Arnav with his shoulders slumped forward. "Vijay bhai is here again," he said disdainfully. Even the little boy was becoming increasingly annoyed with the man who would make daily visits to their home.

Arnav pulled Adi's head so it was leaning against him. "Don't be so rude about it," he patted the little boy's head. His role as a father was to raise the kid well and if that meant putting up a smile around people he didn't like, then so be it. Arnav cringed at how on the one hand he was teaching his little brother to be nice no matter what, and on the other, he never took his own advice. He didn't forget about all the fights he got into with Vijay before they became friends again, and like he mentioned earlier, how inconsiderate he was towards many before his change in behavior. Perhaps this was yet another personality trait that he had to improve.

He walked out with Adi but Khushi stayed back. She pulled his hand back when Adi continued to walk away. "The trip is tomorrow...you're going right? With Akash and not this man?"

"Don't you trust me?" He asked seriously and Khushi slowly nodded her head because she did trust Arnav, but whether his decisions were right put a little doubt in her.

She closed the door after her and gave Vijay a stern look as he walked past her in the hallway with a grin. She continued to stand in the hallway and listen to the conversation that had just started.

"Just wanted to tell you that everything is set," Vijay announced and began to sit down on a chair but Arnav's words made him straighten up again. "There's been a change of plans actually," Arnav's authoritative tone was already there.

"What's that?"

"I'm going tomorrow. There's been too many petty issues that I don't like at all and the only way to fix all this is to go back to how it was." Arnav nodded his head to add assurance to his words.

"So as enemies?" Vijay crudely asked - Arnav's sudden change of plans being a big shock to him.

"That's not at all what I mean. We'll continue this new friendship of ours but what I meant was that in order to keep the peace, I'll handle everything again. It was going to be a matter of days anyways, so it really shouldn't make such a difference."

"Am I still going on the trip?" Vijay asked with his throat drying.

Arnav didn't hesitate to answer. For a man like him who once didn't even care of what people thought of him, he didn't want to let opinions bother him now . "Vijay, you already wanted out so no. Akash is coming with me and that's finalized. I'm sorry I put your hopes up but again, this shouldn't be such a big deal."

Vijay gritted his teeth together and started yelling profanities in his mind. Of course it was a big deal! What was it about these two men - Arnav and Akash - who never seemed to be affected by any kind of argument?! His plan was completely backfiring on him. Not only did Arnav take his position back, he also made Vijay's spot in the trips void. His objective was no longer in arm's reach.

He was done playing. He actually dropped his dignity as low as speaking kindly to Arnav for so many weeks and answering to him - working for him even! - but he was done with that now. He stared Arnav hard in the eyes for some moments; trying to show his sheer frustration but it angered him even more when Arnav didn't show signs of sympathy. Clenching his fists, he marched down the hallway but not before stopping for just a few seconds to see Khushi smile at him in a very conniving way.

That did it for him. You're so done you little bitch,' he cursed internally before continuing out the house. He was going to bring them all the problems that he could. He was going to kill two birds with one stone and it was going to happen with a very easy solution. It included a little trip to Sadasya.

*

"I hate these trips. Just choose someone who can lead them - like Akash," Khushi pouted in her sitting position on the bed while Arnav prepared to leave. The sun was just starting to rise over the horizon.

"I would choose Akash in a heartbeat but some things just can't change. You're very stubborn like Adi," he noted making her roll her eyes. She got off the bed and tiredly leaned against the wardrobe as he put a lock on his luggage then went to stand in front of her. He cupped her face and jiggled it a bit to make her smile.

"It's five days. You can live without me for that long."

She playfully hit his chest. "What rubbish; that's five days too long that you'll be away! What if something happens to me?"

"You're lucky that the whole village will be here to help you," he tried to uplift her mood but he noticed from her disappointed expression that his method wasn't working. He pulled her from her shoulders towards his chest to tuck her in the embrace of his arms. Her head rested right under his chin and he placed his cheek against the top of her head when he felt her arms tighten around his waist.

Khushi smiled against his chest when her vision started to get blurry from her tears. She knew this was a normal procedure but it still never got easy. She pulled away after blinking away her tears. "Go now," she patted his arm and he chuckled at her sudden change of behavior - which he very well knew that she was faking.

After waiting just a few minutes for his mother and brother to wake up, he also bid them farewell and joined the other guys for the long road trip ahead.

He stopped in front of Akash who stood next to the jeep with a blank face and folded arms. "You can wipe that monotone expression off your face - I got rid of Vijay. You should give me some credit for that at least."

Akash's expression did change but he tried to quickly compose himself before getting too excited. "So you finally realized what a good-for-nothing man he is."

"No." Arnav said sternly. "I realized that I'm completely healed now and that I need to take control over this place again before it turns into a zoo. And considering that I am back to my full time duty as laird, you better get rid of that attitude. Don't forget who you're talking to."

Akash stared at the tense face in front of him and walked around the jeep to sit in the passenger. As they both got in, they turned their heads to look at each other. They both simultaneously broke out into a loud chuckle. "It's good to have you back," Akash said cheerfully as he went for a secure handshake.

"It's good to be back," Arnav declared and honked the horn a couple times to signal the other guys to move. He drove out first then had the rest follow behind. They were finally back to normal.

*

"What do you want?" The guard at the front gates asked in a rude tone.

"I need to see Surya. I have crucial information for him," Vijay said with a smirk and the guy let him through. He walked through the grand entrance before stopping right in the foyer. He stood face to face with his potential ally.

"Vijay," Surya greeted with furrowed eyebrows and a heavy frown.

"Surya sahab," he couldn't seem to get his leer off his face.

"What are you doing here?"

"The Sadasyan who was missing - Khushi Gupta?" He waited for the name to click in Surya's head and it did almost immediately.

"She's in Amit Sravna."

OMG, hi everyone! Can you believe it???? Almost 2 full weeks that I didn't update! I'm actually so sorry! But I swear I had all the good reasons. First I moved, then I spent all last week studying for two exams that are over now. I do have another one this thursday so just so you all know, I will not update again until Friday night. But at least that's sooner than 2 weeks! 😛

Arnav actually got rid of Vijay all because of Khushi. If you remember, in the last part, Khushi told him she doesn't like Vijay so he's finally listening to the people around him. You're probably wondering what's going to happen to Khushi? Well it's not going to be pleasant, that's for sure! BUT it will finally call for a meeting between Surya and Arnav for the first time since Arun's death. HOWEVER, Vijay's truth won't come out so quickly. Patience my dearies, patience. lol.

You probably think I'm just saying this, but I'm actually so sorry for such a late update! But it also makes me sad that this story is soon coming to an end. 😭 I just hope I can have your support to the very last word and really a HUGE thank you for all the support that you have given this entire time. I appreciate every single response that this story has gotten so THANK YOU!!
