Hmm well in any given situation I will stick to my parents
decision whether right or wrong but will always stay with it... although will deffo try to convince them but will never go against them...You know there is sms joke regarding the same... thought I dont remember it
eaxctly "When we were small mom use to understand everything without saying and now when we grow up ee say maa tum kuch samjhti nahi" so I guess my parents can never be wrong...and I will stick to their decision... Though in the given situation will try and convince them but wont cross my limits...

Although Aarti ji is also right and I agree with her that eventually mom dad will agree with your decision as they want to see you happy... 😊

Nice post Mudraji.Yes,tough question.This exactly happened to me [not an age gap] but my parents specially my mom and dad with me.

They trust on me at that time and handled all the situation smoothly.And now i am most happiest person with all direction in my life.But yes,if they didn't agree for my marriage i woudl not thing of that marriage

Absolutely interesting post Mudraji.

This has happened with me. When I got acquainted to the boy (my husband now) and realised that I like him and would love to marry him, I confided in my parents and told them that only if they agree I would go ahead with the friendship and say yes that too only if he proposes me. The boy's family was known to my mother.They agreed immediately. And FYI my husband proposed me two years after that.

And as a parent I will definitely respect to my son's choice. He has not chosen anybody yet but we enjoy a very open parent-child relationship. My only condition is ''karna hai toh nibhana hai".
