KTLK gave us some hard nuts to chew... here is one... and I will be making posts of other issues everyday!

Nidhi loved Ashutosh and wanted to marry him. Parents wished to marry her off to Rohan. It was the great faith and trust of her elders that she wouldnt go against them... and hence they never felt the need to divulge the fact that she was the bride to Rohan till the last moment.

and there is Nidhi... never thought her parents might say against her wishes... ofcourse, age-gap was one thing to think about ... but, in general she had great trust and faith in her parents that they wouldnt go against her wishes.. and never ever thought that they would give a strong surprise ...Rohan...

Rohan might have proved a great husband to her... but Nidhi's heart was not agreeing to think any body other than Ashutosh.

Ashutosh might be a good person and husband... but, not even for a moment parents thought him as their 'bachchi's husband...

Let aside KTLK...
If this is your personal experience... what would you do... as a parent or as a child...

The best solution might be something like wait for elder's Ashirvad... But that doesnt happen in every case..

Would you go against your parents and listen to your heart?.. What happens about .. your parents heart-break...

Would you go against your child's wishes? You gave everything to your child... then what might stop you giving this too...

Please discuss...😊

Thanks to Anjani...😳

Have got to tell you something Mudra: I had liked your post some days back where you reworked Jagan & Mallika story.
Jagan's letter was brilliant!
But before I could approach you on that post, you deleted it.. Why?

There was nothing against Ashutosh in it. Couldn't understand why some members felt so.
If that was the reason you deleted it, not a good decision from you 😔

Rather in many ff & os, Nidhi's character is deliberately maligned but everyone enjoys there and the writers too do not bother editing anything.
Then why you had to?

Nice post Mudra di ⭐️ I loved the comparison you have made between Ashu n Rohan as being judged by Nidhi n her parents ! The obvious thoughts on both the sides !
I will never go against my parents wishes !!! 😊
And the same happened in my life.. I took the girl of my life to them n told them our decision. My wife at that time did the same. And our wonderful parents judged our decisions as apt to our lives.. n they nodded in YES ! 😛😃
If that wud not have happened.. i wud have never gone against their wishes.. and wud have convince them till my last. !
Going against a wish is like a marriage without blessings of our elders.. n that marriage is not fruitful in many cases.. !
Thanks for this opinion based post ! 👏

You know Mudra a thought provoking post , if I like Nidhi had fallen in love , firstly would have expected my parents to have faith in me and respect my decisions , if despite that t hey didn't , would not have given up my love , yes would have felt let down for some time , would have tried to make them understand if they didn't well , my love would always be first ,would have married him irrespective , but would have been saddened that they didn't understand and accept that I have the right
to my life , to live it the way I want , for my child would have accepted his decision , even if I had reservations on his choice , after all it's his life , he has to face it , and god forbid things go wrong would have stood by him , supported him , and not said told u so , we all have to make our own mistakes to learn no one can spoon feed any one , not your parents , and not u as a parent , as a parent would try to explain the pros and cons but the decesion is ultimately the individuals

But an interesting post sure will get a lot of thought provoking answers

Mudra, very intelligent post! 👏 Very tough question. I have neither faced this situation or seen it happen in my circle, so its a little difficult to comprehend. So I am just going to throw this idea here...
If I was Nidhi, I would first wait for parental permission and be very single minded in my pursuit of it. At the same time they should be made to realize that I will not be marrying anyone else. And knowing the Indian society, I think after some resistance parents tend to give up, if they are educated enough as they do not want their daughter to remain unmarried for long. So I guess ultimately they will agree.

Thanks Anjani for giving Mudra an idea. 😊

As you know I am a no 'D'... I mean, not a deewani to anybody...

I like to make general posts... But, I always wanted a peaceful environment...😛
