Bollywood's most stylish films

Andaaz

Andaz (1950)
In an era where actresses would wear nothing but a saree, Nargis, with her resplendent face, wore palazzo pants, rode horses and was shown as an independent woman. She became an aspirational figure for the modern Indian women.

Waqt

Waqt (1965)

BR Chopra, the producer, made an elaborate and expensive film presenting a high class lifestyle. Fashionwise, Sadhana set the trend with churidars and tight fitted kurtas and dashing Raaj Kumar looked suave in his three-piece suits. The sports cars too added to the cool.looked uber stylish.

JMN

Johny Mera Naam (1970)
Hema Malini made sarees the stuff of wet dreams and Dev Anand added oomph to neckerchief. His stylish jackets, hats and trousers became fashion landmarks.

Bobby

Bobby (1973)
What with Dimple Kapadia steaming up the screen in her debut wearing mini skirts and polka dotted knotted blouses, wriggling seductively to Jhooth bole kawa kaate, the film created a frenzy among the '70s youth. The film helped Rishi Chintu' Kapoor become the heartthrob of the nation.

Don

Don (1978)
Amitabh Bachchan looked the ultimate fashion guru with wide-lapel three piece suits, flared trousers, polka dot men's shirts and bow ties. The gorgeous Zeenat Aman in her bell bottoms, dog collared shirts and bob-cut hair looked uber stylish.
