He is the same guy who did a Rockstar...Barfi...Wake up Sid...Rocket Singh...Raajneeti...YJHD (the film was average, but Ranbir was excellent). And he is not even 30 yet!
One bad film does not undermine him in anywhich way.
Coming to his off-screen persona, yes...he is a bit on the boring side...as in, he is very measured and diplomatic, but if the opposite was the case, then Ranbir would have been called bombastic, arrogant and rude.
See...someone like Ranveer Singh (another of my favorite actors) can get away with projecting their real personality in their interviews and off-screen appearances, because he comes from a non-filmy background, people don't know anything about his family or even about him, so he can project himself whichever way he wants to.
But if Ranbir was to act as flamboyant and outspoken like Ranveer...then he would instantly be labeled as a rich, spoilt brat, who doesn't know how to behave, despite being a Kapoor!
Coming to Salman Khan...well, being outspoken to the point of being rude is a part of his personality and charm...he has cultivated it during all those years, so yes, even when he insults a co-actor or acts rude with a media guy, it looks like he is simply exercising his personality...he can afford to do that.
Also, its a matter of perspective...I find Ranbir to be polite and cultured in his interviews and off-screen appearances...but I am sure, a lot of people find the same traits to being boring!
PS: Though one thing that I particularly detest about him is the way he treats the women in his life...first Deepika and now Katrina...I don't think he gives his women the respect they deserve. I mean, even after being pictured holidaying with Kat, he still calls her his good friend...😕 What is the shame in acknowledging that they are a couple? He should be proud of the fact that someone as beautiful and successful as Katrina is his girlfriend! Too much a Mama's boy...like most Indian men!😆 But othewise, he is fine!

I don't think he can ALONE be blamed for that. May be Katrina isn't ready to come out admit the relation yet so he can't alone be a fool and call her his girlfriend- no one is stupid like vivek to do that without your partner's approval!
