Hi everyone I'm here with part 2 of my story.

Lemme just say that although I have chosen the Diwali track for this story I won't be following it completely; there is so much I had wanted to see when it was happening however it didn't. I guess I'm just using this to pour out my frustrations and feelings.

Id like to thank everyone for their feedback really appreciate it.

Part 2 - Unknown feelings

Arnav awoke to the sound of his phone ringing. He looked at what time it was and cursed whomever it was inwardly.

'Aman what is wrong with you? Ringing me at this time during the weekend?'

He waited for his right hand to say whatever he had to and sighed.

'How comes I didn't know about this meeting earlier? His jaw clenched and eyes spitting fire.

He then remembered last night when his phone had continuously been ringing for 2 hours however he had not seemed to take any notice of it.

'Okay book the tickets then I want to get over and done with this deal ASAP Aman you know me I do not like to waste time'

He waited till everyone was awake to announce that he would have to go to London for a very important deal which would be very beneficial for AR. He knew everyone would be upset as his and Lavanya's engagement was soon and he would have to stay at home, however work was also important for him.

Everyone came down for breakfast and Arnav sat down opposite his sister.

'Di, I have to go to London for an important deal I'll be back in a couple of days,'

'But chote the preparations for the engagement have already started what about them?' Anjali asked shocked at this sudden decision.

'You guys continue with then I'll be back in a couple of days so there won't be any issue with that,'

Everyone agreed that it wasn't a bad idea and that if he was to return soon then the preparations for the wedding should continue how they were. His flight was scheduled for 2pm that day which meant that he did not have much long left before he had to leave for the airport.

Maybe this trip would help him think things over? Make him forget Khushi and with that he could start a new life with Lavanya. He knew that he would never be able to keep her happy with him; that's one of the reasons he had decided to marry Lavanya they both knew what they wanted and he would never be able to give Khushi the love she deserved.

He lost her before he even gained her. Maybe it was best to let her go? It was in the betterment of them both.

Today she was going to tell that she had to leave the job. Shyam ji had said that he had a well paid job and that now he would be taking the responsibility of them all. She did not have to work anymore for he was there to support her and her family. Therefore she had decided that it was in the best of everyone. She would never have to see Arnav again and buaji had decided that the wedding would take place in Lucknow; the place her father loved the most.

The pandit ji had come and had set a date for the wedding. She had sat there like a statue as everything was decided and the wedding date was set for after 2 months. She thought about it now, it all seemed like a dream maybe in the next 2 months she would fall in love with Shyam ji and it would all be okay? She would forget about Arnav and begin a new life with the man who was to be her husband.

She decided to text Anjali and tell her that today would be her last day. She wasn't due to go in till 10:30am anyways so she had the time and wanted to tell them beforehand so that they would react later. She knew they didn't want to let her go and neither did she. She had developed a deep bonding with everyone including laxmi ji and she knew it would not be easy for her to leave but she had to.

She picked up her phone and dialled Anjali's number. The rings went through and after a whole she heard someone on the other side.

'Ji Khushi ji how are you?' Anjali asked 'Is something wrong?' Concern now taking over her voice.

Every time Khushi had rang her something had always been the wrong. She prayed that all was well.

'Ji Anjali ji I just wanted to say that this will be my last day working for you,'

'What? Why?' She asked.

'Did anyone say anything to you?'

'No no no one said anything to me,' she replied. ' I got engaged last night and my fianc does not want me to work anymore,'

She heard a scream on the other end and didn't know how to react. Did something happened to Anjali?

'DM what just happened?' She wondered.

'Anjali ji is everything alright?' she asked panic clearly taking over

'Khushi ji how did you not tell us this before?' She demanded

'Woh' she started but was soon interrupted with more questions

'No excuses I'm not happy with the fact that you did not tell anyone before but I'm overjoyed you've found someone for yourself who will love u immensely,'

Khushi heard her buaji calling her and so she told Anjali that had to go and disconnected the phone. Anjali couldn't hold her excitement and told her that they would all be waiting for her and although she wouldn't be working anymore they would love to have her around whenever she wished.

Anjali had spread the news around the house about Khushi's engagement and everyone was overjoyed. However there was one person who was unaware of the happenings around the house. He sat locked away in his room thinking about what had happened a couple of nights back. Had he made the right decision? He didn't know but what he did know was that he felt nothing for Khushi. She was just someone one who worked for him. A mere employee.

He had done his packing and decided to go and sit with his di before he left. He knew that she hated being away from him as he was her only family but over time she had understood that he wasn't going away from her forever and that he would be back soon. The loss of her parents had not overcome her and she had insecurities about her brother.

Everyone was sitting in the hall happily chatting he could tell that they had heard some good news. He was about to turn around and go back to his room when he heard the doorbell. HP when to see who it was and there she stood. Khushi she still looked the same as he last remembered seeing her just the fact that she looked tired and worn out. She did not have that sparkle in her eyes anymore and he wondered whether anything had happened.

He decided that he didn't have to worry about her she meant nothing to him. He would soon be marrying Lavanya and she would go off and find someone for herself.

If only he knew that it could be too late by then.

Arnav and Lavanya's engagement was after 10 days Arnav would be back In a week giving them time for the last minute preparations.

Akaash had gone to drop Arnav off to the airport and khushi had bid her good byes to the Raizadas'. Nani told her that she would always be apart of the family and she was welcome back whenever she missed them. They all promised to visit her and attend her wedding.

It had been two days since Arnav had arrived at London. He was trying to get all his work done so that he could fulfil the promise he had made to his sister. He couldn't bear to disappoint her, she meant everything to him and of all people if she was upset with him he could not take it.

He got a phone call from Lavanya who seemed very excited to talk to him. He had told Aman to make sure that no on disturbed him but who would have known about the news he was to get.

'ASR, you'll never believe it Chamkili is getting married soon,'

He stood there taking in the news as it came through and settled into his mind. She was getting married and he had not know about it. Why hadn't anyone told him? He had the right to know too. Wait...what gave him the right to know about her? He was meant to hate her. Then why did his heart feel like it had broken into a million pieces; never to be fixed again?

Lavanya kept talking on the other side about their engaged which was the following week and how excited she was about khushi's wedding too. He made the excuse of some meeting and disconnected the phone.

He was no one to care about her, he felt nothing for her except hate and nothing more. He decided that he wouldn't let it get to him.

He will marry Lavanya and show her that it doesn't effect him.

'Mujhe koi farak nahi padta, she can do all she likes, it's her life, I don't care she's getting married'

Deep down he knew that he was only trying to console himself,it meant a lot to him.

I was o arnav how deluded u r with regards to ur feelings for kushi when his sooo in love with her but doesn't want to accept it lol...

and please please tell me shaym is not anjali husband ..I prefer any other intense or even dangerous twist but that sigh...okay enough of ny ramblings let me get back to praising you and ur update hehe. .

I love the way u portrayed the confusion in kushi n arnav minds in terms of their feelings for one another n each thinking its nothing and its just temporary. ..lovely written.. a great start to ur first story...I hope u keep entertaining us by writing more n more stories...

eagerly waiting for chapter three.i fully enjoy reading your story and I hope it stays that way but I am sure it will...
