Sakshi gave a sweet smile to the teacher and the teacher again turned back to the board and drowned herself in the board full of mathematics equations...
Now as she was safe...sakshi turned her head furiously to the guy sitting nxt to her and said..."shut up you dumb head...teacher mujhe peeche dekhne ki vajeh se nahi balki tumhare vajeh se bahar nikal deti"
"excuse me...wat do you mean...I was not drooling over dat new guy...nd please...I AM STRAIGHT!" he specially stressed on the last few words...
"I seriously doubt dat...c'on dumb head...we r in college now...and you still dnt hav a girlfriend..."
"now don't start again birdie!"... "yeah...yeah...whatever.." then coming close to him she said with the best puppy voice "hey DH (dumb head)..." Thn correcting herself..."oopsie...I mean hey...will you please do a favour to me..." But he knowas her too well...
"listen birdie...he is jst not your types...i knw u want me to collect all info abt dat so called' new hot guy in cllg over whom every girl is going gaga and all..."
"plz...plz...plz...plz...plzzz...c'on DH...I m your best friend na..."...
"c'on birdie...now dnt act like a melodrama queen..."
With this...continued for the rest of the lecture ...Sakshi's Please' session...and her best friend's "NO WAY" session...and finally the lecture ended...
Aftr some 2 or 3 more lectures sakshi was sitting in the canteen gloomily waiting for her friend Minal...dats whn someone came from the back and tapped her shoulder gently...
But she without even turning said furiously..."just leave me alone DH...I m waiting for my BEST FRIEND...watever nd however she is...bt she atleast dsnt tuns me down whn I ask for some help"
"oh really...give me a break Ms.Anand...mere alava tujhe aur koi bardasht nahi kar sakta...and dat minal...she is only gud for you to drool over hot boys with...BTW this time around she brings trouble for u"
Sakshi gives him a am I even interested ' look...nd orders a black coffee for her..
"Aakash Chaudhri" he says...vid a smile
"What? Who is this new creature?"
"AVP college...Delhi"
Sakshi getting even more confused "wat r u talking about DH?"

Bang! Sakshi banged the book she was holding on th table...nd quickly shifted to th chair next to him inexcitement.."tellme...tell me your saying all this about dat new hot guy..." Sakshi had already gone in her drooling mode again...
"yeah yeah...bt its ok...u wait for ur BEST FRIEND"
"no no no no no...who said I m waiting for dat gossip monger...plz tell me more..pls" back to her puppy face mode from drooling trance..
"why r u so best in making dat damn puppy face..."
Sakshi just fluttered her eyelids more..
"ok...stop this melodrama...Aakash Chaudhri...AVP college of media arts, Delhi... now new admission to..."

"ok...he is a champion in swimming...a biiig flirt...as u'll like him to be...hobbies...squash and racing cars...wants to do specialization in direction...god I wonder how will he direct hot chicks...his fav colour is white...nd he is allergic to milk nd milk products...nd also he has..."
Sakshi was by now again in her dreamy trance...drooling over aakash's bare toned body imagining him swim in th blue pool waters, nd cheering for him in th dream...bt suddenly something clicked her... "hey DH...how come u even knw his fav colour nd allergies..."
The guy had jst opened his mouth to say something when...
"ok whatever...I dnt care..." she just hopped on his lap...nd hugged him...
"I Love U Arjun...ur such cutie pie..!"
"eww.cutie pie..." Arjun makes some faces nd cleans the marks of Sakshi's pink lipstick on his cheeks...
"BTW birdie...there's something more to it..."
But woaho...she was already gone...
Arjun knew Sakshi too well to predict her next act...he knew dat the instance Sakshi will see dat HOT' Aakash...she'll herself hop in to b friends with him...but she needed to knw the most important thing about him...so he ran behind his Birdie...
Finally he got hold of her...and without thinking anything else...
"Birdie...where r u flying away...do u knw who he is..."
"ofcourse I knw arjun...he is my 1st crush in the college...tell me...u'll help me to ask him out na..."

Sakshi's sudden excitement faded away suddenly too...

"Your best Friend..."
Shock would be more than a understatement...
"WHAT...???? but right away this morning u said that u WERE Straight...Arjun...is this the reason u r not vid any girl"
Now it was Arjun's turn to get more than shocked...
"WHAT...crap...hav u lost it Sakshi...i mean he is vid ur "so called" best friend...MINAL"
"first things first...when did minal become my best friend...?"
"right before 10 mins..."
Sakshi's face fell...
"ok baba...Sorry Ms.Anand...but its not my or your fault dat he is vid minal...dnt you get it...minal always use to talk about her long distance boyfriend...and she also told dat he'll b joining us this semester..."
"but this is not fair na Arjun...minal ka boyfriend ussi ko hona tha...college me mera 1st crush...and moreover...he is sooo HOT..."
"Minal kya kam HOT hai..." Arjun spoke up in a low voice...but none of his words can escape Sakshi's ears...after all she is his Birdie' na...
And with this...their chatting and gossiping kept going...
The two girls who were watching them from a distance for tha last 10 mins...
Alisha: hey chi...wats going on in betn this two yarr...are they a couple...
Prachi: no Aalz...they are just friends...Best Friends...!
Alisha: yeah...I know many of such BEST FRIENDS...
Prachi: I know them from a long time yarr...from my school times...they r together from 7th grade...they r jst like dat...always friends...like they say.. Best Friends Forever... even in school everyone used to assume them as a couple...bt they always denied it...
Alisha: hmmm...it better be, coz the guy is just too hot to handle...BTW...how is my new short skirt...
Prachi: ah..its amazing as always...vaise bhi...ur skirts are so famous in th college...
Alisha: not in the college Chi...among th boys...
And they both started laughing and went around...
Sakshi and Arjun were really BFFs...right from their school days...
Everyone envied their sweet cute pure friendship...some were even jealous...nd some even considered as the fake mask to hide their relationship...some considered them a couple...and some predicted them a to-be soon couple...but Birdie and her Dumb Head never gave a damn to those people...they knew very well dat the feelings in their relationship was always and will always be of friendship...Pure Friendship...atleast Sakshi always thought so...
But was it Really... JUST FRIENDSHIP...!!!
