If you had said this before when anand sir was here, I would have tried emotionally appealing because I'm connected to rahi on a very emotional level, so I wouldn't have used alot of practicality in my reasoning. but, eventually I would have been fine because anand sir always did justice to rahi.
but, now that two to three months have gone by in TBP, I absolutely don't WANT rahi as only best friends ! You know why? Because cvs so conveniently tend forget them and put them up on the shelf and then put random 2 minute scenes every two weeks or so to show rahi still exist.
So, is this the rahi I want? NO
Would I have been okay with rahi as best friends before? Maybe
Do I want rahi as best friends right now? NO because if they show rahi as only best friends, we are going to get NO rahi scenes. So, rather than worrying about stereotypes, I want to worry more about even GETTING rahi scenes! We had to beg to get rahi in the middle, even then we didn't get it. What makes you think cvs are going to keep showing rahi as best friends now, if they couldn't do any justice to them for these last two months? 😳
So, in simpler terms, I don't care about stereotypes right now. I personally don't find this stereotypical at all because I haven't seen many (note many) best friends into lovers sort of relationships on indian shows and movies and rahi are not just the normal bffs, their bond is special, so I don't think comparing them to anybody else is doing them any justice.
other than this, I don't think I need to give anymore explanations. The same people that advocate for rahi being better as best friends are the same people that don't give two hoots when there are no rahi scenes being shown! So, what do you expect us rahi fans to do? Sit on the side and conveniently let our rahi be forgotten into oblivion? DON'T THINK SO! Especially, after these two months, I am not willing to pay heed to anybody's POV in rahi being better as best friends.
ONLY say this kind of stuff when you can get a guarantee from the cvs that rahi as a bond of friendship will be given alot of importance! Only then, I will even consider listening to the people that claim that they are better as best friends! and only then, I will even try to put forward my reasoning! but, right now, I'm short tempered and frustrated with this whole issue! Forgive me if I sound mean, I'm not intentionally doing it, but with all the unfair treatment we had to go through, I really have no patience anymore.
