Defamation case filed against Balaji,Ekta

Ekta Kapoor is alleged to have used insulting language in the interview

The Indian Television Academy, President Anu Ranjan and Vice-President Shashi Ranjan have filed a case of criminal defamation under Section 500 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against Balaji Telefilms Ltd, and Ekta Kapoor. The complaint has been filed on the basis of an interview given by Ekta Kapoor to a city tabloid on November 25 last year in which she is alleged to have used insulting language and cast aspersions against Shashi and Anu Ranjan.

They alleged in the complaint that they were deliberately targeted for defamation and ridicule. In the complaint, they further stated that an opportunity was given to Balaji Telefilms Ltd and Ekta Kapoor to mitigate the damage by tendering an unconditional apology, which they have not yet done.

"The language she used in the interview was very defamatory. We had sent her a notice, but neither she nor Balaji apologised. We have filed a case in court," Rajan's lawyer told Mumbai Mirror. The case have been registered under Section 500 of IPC is punishable with imprisonment of up to two years, and a fine. Even after repeated attempts, Ekta Kapoor could not be reached.

hmmm damn people always trying to bring her down...i wanna see the interview first 😆 ...seriously though she should not apologise if shes not in the wrong..HOWEVER if which is highly unlikely she is wrong she should but my guess is she was pprovokoed or just a lie.
