she had fictionalized the characters & the story. but she cant fictionalize the events. for eg., sharifuddin capturing amer with the help of sujamal, jodha-akbar marriage, & many other things. its not a regular drama so she cant change the events. so she have to unite jodha-akbar bcoz ekta cant break their marriage.
she has fictionalized the romance between the two, which is not written anywhere in history how they romanced, she has added all those fictitious incidents of how they came close, but she cannot play with actual history, the story cannot be changed!
