All returned after performing the last ritual for yash and Arpita.It was very hard for maan to offer the fire to his better half as well as to the other part of his soul. He was not concerned about the child which had gone even before getting a life in it's mother's bomb. He couldn't feel connected to it. He was in some guilt. Some how he was making himself responsible for all that happened.

Geet was sitting with her head on Priya's shoulder and were hoding each other's hand like they both were consoling each other without uttering a word. Maan wasn't able to look at Geet as it was increasing his guilt.

After all returned people who accompanied them left from there. Though Sudha didn't want to go but it was a custom. She couldn't stay there. She had to leave. Gautam Sudha and Rahul took their leave from there after informing them to come again next day and left.

It was night. Life is very cruel. It shows us that we don't want to see. And doesn't let us show our anger on itself for that too But still show goes on and on. Anie called doctor for Priya as she was again and again fainting.

Dr. suggested them to not keep her empty stomach as she was losing her energy. Anie asked a servant to bring something to eat for priya.

Priya wasn't ready for it. How can a mother eat when her children were facing such a hard time. Some left them and some were living but life wasn't there.

Taiji-priya dr. ne kaha hai ki tumhen kuchh kha lena chahiye.kha lo aur is bikhre hue ghar ko bhi to sambhaalna hai. Tum phir se akeli ho gayi ho.tumhaari madad karne wali chali gayi hai.

Priya still denied . Maan came near her, picked up food in his hand and forwarded a morsel towards her mouth. Priya looked at him but didn't open her mouth. Then she felt a hand on her cheeks who was wiping her tears. It was Geet.who signaled her first not to cry and then to have the food.But priya's fresh tears made her face wet again.She put her one hand on maan's face and other on Geet's and pulled them in to her hug and cried.Ram and Anie could do nothing except to watch them.Ram pulled Anie towards himself and petted on her head.

The rituals for the peace of two souls were being performed in KM for thirteen days. Maan and Geet were performing them an a mechanical way as directed by all. Handas kept visiting them daily.

Arpita's family too arrived two days later as they couldn't be contacted on the fateful day ,the train was passing through no signal area. They received the message after reaching Jammu. They cancelled their journey there itself and came back with the next possible train. But they were late as bodies of Yash and Arpita could not be kept for long because of that accident. Nothing could be done now. They too cried for their daughter and cursed themselves for calling her to stay with themselves. They too attended her last ritual and left.And they left forever as the link between two families was not alive now.

Taiji asked Gautam to bring some white clothes for Geet as it was a tradition that the clothes are given by the widow's brother only.

Rahul-Taiji. I will bring the clothes but why white only.Please allow her to live normally and taiji scolded him-Ye riwaaz hai jo maine nahin banaya hai. Sadiyon se chalta aa raha hai.

Rahul-but taiji ..see at her age...abhi kuchh din pahle hi to shadi hui thi uski

Taiji-kismat hi aisi laayi tumhaari bahan.Jo uski kismet me hai wo to sahna hi padega.

Rahul-But taiji..

Sudha-Rahul beta .. badon se bahas nahin karte . jaao jaisa kaha gaya hai waisa karo.ye sirf kuchh hi dino ke liye hai.

Rahul-mamma you know na thet she hates white color. She feels sinking to see that color.

Taiji-pahle jaisa kuchh bhi nahin hai Rahul.

Rahul walked from there in frustration. he wanted to take her sister out of these tortures in the name of tradition..

Maan kept himself aloof from all. He came out of his room only to perform the rituals. He was not giving any attention at what was going on in the house. Ram and priya were tongue tied in front of taiji and Anie-she was a child in front of all.

Sudha knew that she didn't have any right to interfere in their matters. Her daughter was DIL of that house so she had to do whatever she would be asked to do.

All rituals were finished and Mourn was over but the hard time for Geet was going to start.

Sudha asked priya if she could take Geet for few days with her but taiji was there-Sudha ji aap bhi kaisi bachhon jaisi baat kar rahi hain.Aap jaanti hain na ki geet abhi iss ghar se bahar nahin ja sakti. Aur abhi to kafi rasmen bachhi hain jo isko nibhaani hain, pati ke jaane ke baad duniya badal jaati hai. Haan agar aap hamesha ke liye isse yahaan se le jana chahti hain to wo aapki marzi hai.Yahaan rahegi to usko wo sab karna padega jo hamaare samaaj ka niyam hai.

Sudha-taiji main to sirf issliye kah rahi thi ki kuchh din wahaan rahegi to thoda sambhal jaayegi.

Taiji-Puri zindagi bitaani hai ab use aise hi. Toh jitna jaldi samajh legi utna hi achchha rahega uske liye.

This conversation was going between three ladies only. Just then Geet entered there. She was in her plain white dress but every thing had changed for her so she was unaffected by everything. her wounds of broken bangles were to deep that they were still not heeled up.

Maan was in his room thinking about the life.Though he lost his wife who was his life partner for the rest of life. That child didn't matter to him about which he came to know when it left them .the person who mattered him the most was his brother. They both were just like one heart two lives. They came into the world together. From the day when he learnt to store the memories ,yash was with him . School , college .office even in wedding too they were together..there wasn't a day when they didn't share their secrets, their fun.

Today he was all alone. His half soul was not with him.and most of all may be he took his death on himself. If he was on time , he had been with arpita.and yash would be alive at his place. The guilt was too heavy to bear. He wanted to get rid of this guilt. But how could he do that. He didn't want to face Geet as it increased in folds when she came in front of him in that white dress.And at that point he became weak and decided to run from there. he needed some time to collect that shattered courage.

He approached Ram and informed him that he was going to stay alone for few days as he was not finding himself to cop up with the loss, he wanted to collect some courage before starting his scattered life once again.

Ram didn't stop him. Every one in the house was facing high emotional turmoil.He took Maan with him and brought where ladies were discussing.

Taiji to Geet-Geet tumhari maa tumhen apne saath le jana chahti hain.

Geet-nahin taiji main kahin nahin jaaungi.(To Sudha) mamma shadi se pahle aap ne hi kaha than na ki shadi ke baad ladki ka maayka uska apna ghar nahin balki mata pita ka ghar ho jata hai aur wo sirf mehmaano ki tarah hi aa sakti hai.aur ya bhi kaha ki ladki maayke se doli me jaati hai magar sasuraal se uski arthi hi nikalti hai. wahaan.main aaungi mamma par abhi nahin .aur sabse badi baat- main maa ko iss haal me chod kar kahin nahin ja sakti She needs me .(To Priya) Maa aapko to mere yahaan rahne par koi objection nahin hai na..Ye abhi bhi mera hi ghar hai na.

Ram and maan entered there.

Ram-how can you think like this Geet . Tum bahu nahin beti ho iss ghar ki. Pura haq hai tumhara iss ghar par.yash ke jaane se kuchh bhi nahin badla hai tumhaare liye iss ghar me.Agar tumhara mann nahin hai to yahin raho baad me chali jana.(To Priya)Priya maan wants to go out for some days.

Taiji-haan haan beta kyun nahin. Itne rishte khoye hain isne. Kitna dukhi hai bechara . ja beta ja kuchh din akela rahega to sambhal jaayega.

Taiji was the part of that society where rules for man and women were different. sudha was sad to see her this side .

Maan wasn't looking at any one he turned but priya tried to stop -Maan please mat jaao. We all need you.

Priya knew that it was Only Maan who can confront taiji. And now he was going.She was now worried for Geet.Maan was unaware of whatever was churning in her mother's mind.-maa please kuchh din bas . I will be back . I promise. And he left. Priya looked at his retreating figure.

After Maan left, Handas too were ready to leave . Anie wasn't there. Priya asked a servant to call anie. But rahuk asked-Aunty If you don't mind I can go to call her.

Priya -sure Rahul.

Rahul knocked at Anie's roon and heard -come in.

Rahul entered and called her-Anie.

Anie saw him and -Rahul aap yahaan?

Rahul-yes ..wo priya Aunty is calling you. And he turned to go.

Anie-Rahul

Rahul looked at her and came near Anie. Anie put her head on his shoulder-Rahul ya sab kya ho gaya.kaise hamaare haste khilkhilaate ghar ko kiski buri nazar lag gayi hai.

Rahuk kept his hand on her head and said-Whatever happened wasn't in our hand to stop that. Anie ek request hai. Geet ka khayaal rakhna.usko apni bhabhi nahin apni bahan samajhna.I m giving her responsibility to you.

Anie-Rahul you don't have to tell that. But I m not able to stop taiji I can't say anything to her.only Maan bhaiya can do that.

Rahul-And he has left the house to spend some time alone

Anie-Oh ..Rahul. I promise you bhabhi ka main pura khayaal rakhoongi.bas Taiji kuchh gadbad na kar den.

Rahul-Chalo all are waiting for us and they left.

Taiji asked Geet to be ready to perform the rituals which were needed to be performed by a widow. Priya requested her not to do this with Geet as she was very young and moreover she was unable to perform those rituals. She was brought up like a princess.

Ram-taiji ye sab zaroori hai kya.wo purane zamaane ke riwaaz hain. Aaj kal koi nahin maanta.

But taiji was adamant on her decision-Ram bade bujurgon ne soch samajh kar hi riwaaz banaaye hain.in sab se usse apne shareer aur mann ko kaboo karne ki aadat ho jaayegi. Meri koi personal enemity nahin hai Geet se. sadion puraane riwaaz hain. Agar tum puraane riwaazon ko nahin maante to main bhi yahaan se chali jaati hoon main bhi to puraani hi hoon.phir karte rahna apni mann maani.na main yahaan rahungi aur na wo adharm hote hue dekhungi.

Geet-Maa papa, Don't worry about me. No pain is bigger for me in compare to the pain which Yash has given me by leaving me . (To taiji) taiji mujhe manzoor hai wo sab karna jo aap chahti hain.

Priya-Geet beta tu nahin jaanti. Bahut mushkil hai wo sab karna.

Geet-maa chinta mat kariye. Main kar loongi.

Taiji -theek hai geet hum tumhaare liye saari taiyaariyaan karwa dete hain. And she goes.

Priya hugged Geet out of fear. She was crying and complaining to God- What wrong we have done that you are torturing all of us like this.

Geet tried to stop priya from crying-Maa you are not well. Please don't cry.main theek hoon.

After an hour taiji came and ask Geet to come with her.Geet moved but priya wasn't ready to leave her. Taji scolded her-priya chhodo uska haath.Inssan ko apni kismet ka likha to bhogna hi padta hai.

She jerked priya's hand to free Geet from her hand.and she took Geet harshly with her to the place hwere she was going to spend her one month in the name of customs and traditions .
