Can I just take a moment to take out and appreciate just how MUCH everyone has improved and evolved in their acting? 👏 Kunal Jaisingh, Fahad Ali - TAKE A BOW! I swear, I had goosebumps in the scene when RV said, "Tou message kar deta.." and KD had this shocked expression on his face for just a second as the inner guilt surfaced.
Coming to episode. Priorities, priorities. That's all I could think of when RV, after all this thinking, came to the decision that no election is worth risking his friendship with KD. And KD coming to the conclusion that healthy competition can reside between best friends. Now, one can say that KD is confident in his friendship that it's not so fickle that conflict of ideas will break it apart. But from what I felt, and I said it yesterday as well, that KD doesn't always put his friendship high up on his priority list. His personal ideology and what he wants to do always tops his list and for that he looks around for reasons to pacify himself that by pursuing his ideas, he is doing no wrong. If it does affect any friendship at hand, he will think of something and make it all work. And it's not like it's the first time KD is doing so, he has done it before.
RV was confident that KD would also come to the same decision as him. Which just goes to prove that even by 1%, RanSh measure their friendship on different scales. Hence, the shock when JJ tells him that KD has already filed his nomination literally shook him. Whereas RV waited till the last moment to tell his decision to JJ, KD had already decided and acted upon it first thing in the morning. RV felt betrayed. A thing so important, finding that out from someone else rather than his friend did hurt. But he didn't delay much. Fine, if KD is doing it then why is RV holding back? The main reason he was doing so was that he wanted keep the friendship intact. KD choosing to not tell him about his decision before acting upon it, even just a little, put a dent on the friendship which RV was so adamant to protect. First strike is always the hardest to hit. And that was dealt so effortlessly. What's to stop now?
Highlight scene was the confrontation. KD informing RV just a little too late that he had he filed his nomination. The way KD fumbled a little, avoided his gaze, made up excuses while RV just kept looking on - just WOW! Sheer amazingness. It was so simple, KD could've texted if RV wasn't picking up. Did something to show his eagerness or his intent to let RV personally know of his decision but he didn't. And the only reason I can think of is that he didn't want to, not 100%. Like I said, different scales of measuring one friendship. Anyway, they came to a peaceful decision that friendship won't be affected by their personal ideas. Ultimately, it's all for the college and if for the greater good, they have to stand on opposite sides then be it. With them at least there's a confidence that all will be well for others. Fair and square. With good faith.
Was it just me or was Avi enjoying questioning Panchi who will she support? All the time they have been in their relationship, Panchi has put her friendship with Buddies over her boyfriend which always bothered Avi. Now he had a chance to give it back to her. Who will she choose? Who will RanSh's girlfriends choose? Conflict conflict...and with the way Panchi became speechless at it all, it showed that Avi's word hit home. But I didn't like Panchi saying she would support RV. Though his ideas suit her more, KD's manifesto of stopping the price hike was also close to her heart. I hoped she remained neutral for the time being. Khair, not too late.
Major kudos to Piddi for acting like a typical person! He has no POV regarding the elections like most of people don't 😆 I'm the same as him when it comes to politics as well 😛
Coming to Kiya deciding not to support KD. I am super glad that she talked it through with him first rather than blasting a bomb on his head. She went to him, talked to him in detail about why she wasn't supportive of his agendas. On a personal level, she appreciated his concern. But on a general level, it all seemed wrong to him. KD said that the CCTV idea was being suggested after what happened to him and if she won't support the idea, how will others respond to it? Which was the main point. Even the victim, after going through all she did, isn't supportive of an idea which invades privacy. Other people who had nothing to do it and who, chances are, will never go through what she did, their responses can be assumed by Kiya's refusal to support this idea. KD did take it to his heart but he didn't show it, he would love to have his girlfriend be by his side but she has said it clearly she won't support him. I liked the way there was a guilt from her side and genuine hurt on his but he didn't let it show and she didn't let it stop him. A conversation is always needed to stop misunderstandings and this was one conversation which did just that. You go girl, it took a stalker kidnapping you to bring brains back in your head!
