Anandi's the lady who represents rural India, a Balika Badhu who has been tortured/harassed in three rounds. In round 1 it was dadisaa saa, round 2 was jagya and Gauri and finally round three harassed by New dreamcometrue in-laws in kb.
I am surprised what she has learnt from each round so far?

She is not a person with low IQ. Why she didn't try to be financially independent ever?

We all know that's the answer to most of the problem in sas bahu dramas. Once the bahu is powerful even the most cunning sas and nanda would turn vigi billi.

How many times people like Indira Gandhi, Sushma Swaraj been bashed by their in-laws!

Before planning to protect other ladies of the society she should learn to protect herself.

Indian tv serials have one bahu who will take all the blame and most of the time keep quiet.

Anandi is also modelled like that.

In real life also there are bahus like that in some parts of India.

Even financially independent women go through all this. The bahus are expected to handover the salaries and given some bus fare.

If the bahu is a spirited one, even if undereducated, will retaliate or leave the house.

Portraying such bahus as ideal ones makes the people think regressively.

They will say, see anandi, see sandhya, see pankhudi, see purvi, see archana. how sweet they are even when they are scolded and ill treated by their mother in laws.

The husbands think that they are not matching upto the tv bahus and pine for them.😆

U r right my frnd. But I think the boy n gal must discuss this issue before marriage openly rather keeping this issue for later. For example I had clearly told my husband n in laws b4 mug that I would equally contribute to family expenses but we'd never reveal them any of my financial details. Even after many yrs of Mrg it's the same n we r quite happy. Women need to be brave enough. Moreover indian laws are made mostly to support women. They shd just know how to take advantage of it n protect themselves.
Divorce n separation r the last option and should be opted if all roads r closed. Again indian divorce laws support women only.

Nice topic.

Every woman must not only become or trained to become financially independent, she should also protect herself from being insulted just because she is a bahu. The mother should inculcate in the daughter some values like fighting for one's self respect also. Every mother in India asks the daughter to adjust and try to live in sasra even if she is ill treated. And that leads some women even to commit suicide out of depression. Parents must be ready to support daughters emotionally and financially if the daughter decides to end the marriage.

Her first step towards perfection:
- Stop thinking about Jagya's welfare.
Then anything else.
How much advanced we may be, a wife and daughter in law still has to make compromises to make a happy family. Anandi s priority was her 'maika' and saiyan bane bhaiya jagya. Let her first amend her ways. And my POV, if you too independent a woman and strong on your own thoughts, do not get married. Stay single. Indira Gandhi / Sushma Swaraj will also be worried about MIL told me to return at 4PM but I cannot how do I make her understand. So chill.

Dear geet, my blood boils when women r treated in such a way for petty reasons.

I think more than panchayat management, our Anandi should be trained on SAS n NANAnD management n before being a mother herself shd stand financially independent. Or what MSG she can deliver to the viewers worldwide?

Being an iconic character ...she must be in a position to lead from the front ...by displaying her judgemental capabilities and understanding the real feelings of people ...she has to display her individuality...and earning capacity !!This is high time to be a strong role model ...a decision taker/maker... not a mute spectator !!

True my friend. We can not change others, we can change ourselves, our own attitude.

In my opinion there is no problem in this world without a solution. Nothing is impossible. It's only I-M-POSSIBLE.

In my village there is a saying, nobody sacrifices a tigress in a YAGNA/worship. We sacrifice goats.

Let her get some learnings this time. After all its the rising sun whom everyone salutes
