Hey Guys,
These are my thoughts on what makes Shlok the way he is: hatred towards his mother, hurting aastha, loving bro and uncle, obedient son to his father.
1) Hatred towards his mom: Probably she was the reason as to why his first wife/girlfriend went away from him. She might have been today's girl and would have been able to put up with his mom s strict stupid rules: seperate sofa for men/women, controlling in kitchen etc. maybe she could not cope up and decided to move on...shlok probably feel that's why that all women know s to cry and not face situations and cope with them.
2) hurting aastha: somewhere she reminds him of his first wife/girlfriend. He still hates her for having left him and all that hate he takes out on aastha...poor aastha...but I think soon aastha would get to know the bitterness in shlok s life maybe through his uncle (Vinayak agnihotri)... I somehow feel aastha will strike friendship with only his uncle when she enters agnihotri house.
3) loving bro: his bro s very caring and s literally always mentoring him and trying to ease out his worries...so shlok reciprocates it back. He also seems to b loving his sisters as we have seen his phone conversation with his mom...
4) obedient son: shlok thinks highly of his father bcos f tremendous respect he holds in society...but I think at some point this might get broken as Niranjan s true face might come out...he might actually b true reason behind shlok leading this lonely life...right now Anjali s Niranjan s bad face and shlok hates her...but soon truth might get revealed through aastha only maybe...
