Sonam Kapoor in bikini in Khoobsurat remake

Remember Rekha in Hrishikesh Muherjee's Khubsoorat, pigtailed and sari clad. Sonam Kapoor reprises the role in a contemporary retelling being produced by sister Rhea Kapoor but don't expect a coy leading lady this time around. The actress will don a swimsuit in her home-production and her character will be far from the original version. The actress had famously said that she doesn't have a bikini body' to flaunt but she is set to prove herself wrong. Sonam is working hard to make sure that her sultry stint goes well and has hit the gym with a vengeance. The actress, who loves gorging on chocolates, is also following a strict diet.

Says a close friend, "Sonam's trainer has charted out a unique regime, she eats small portions every two hours and she has been told not to consume any carbohydrates after lunch."

Adds the friend, "Sonam wants to approach this in a healthy way. So, she is not starving herself but meticulously eating right to get the perfect swimsuit figure."

This is not all. The actress has also started swimming regularly, and is hitting the pool everyday other than Sundays.
The Khubsoorat remake goes on floors in mid-November and the film, expected to release later next year, will be extensively shot in Rajasthan.
