Ohhkkaaayyy the tradition is done; Quick few points.

---It is like the first ever time that after my post there has been more than 3 pages of comments.. to say I'm spell-bounded will still be understatement. I'd totally give this credit to Shruuttthhhiii!!!!! and her post mentioning this story!! Thank you * infinity! I really do hope I would not disappoint you or anyone who turned up here on your words... :)

---I'd like welcome all you new readers heartily to my world of Entwined!! A big Hellooo to all of you!!! I'm truly thrilled with your comments and I really really pray and wish and oath.. not to grow horns ! :)

-About mystery revelation, I've mentioned this before, would like to reiterate, there sure is a right dramatic time and I request you to bear with me, meanwhile I promise to make this 'forget-mystery-for a while' worth read...at least I intend to...

-About updates, I intend to do quickly and I try as much as I can, but weakly 2 is something I can definitely promise although I intent and aim to do even more than that...

---PM's--- right now, I'm truly sorry, I'm unable to do PM's only coz of the limited internet speed, which makes it highly difficult for me to access various IF pages and I often loose connection while doing PM's soo... until I would be able to afford better net-plan..PM's are paused! I'm truly sorry. I keep updating the chapter name and links... the max I can do. :)

--Finally welcome to my journey, I hope you have a good time here :)

And confession list---- IF acting crazy.. all my ------'s that I use as a pause between sentences n dialogues are converted into quotation marks. So if my previous chapter looking funny, with excessive quotation marks, IF it is!

Chapter-15

As he walked the corridors of his mansion, the night in the exteriors filling its darkness around and the waves echoed in distance, he caught a glimpse of Shyam's shirt while passing by the first floor sit out. He walked towards him in such sudden possessed rage with his mind triggering instantly, he almost but barged in the small room, with his voice announcing his presence even before him.

"You can't for the hell's sake keep your mouth shut-------f**k!" his yelling ended with a curse as he successfully walked into the kissing couple, alerting them, even as they jumped up at his voice standing instantly away from the cozy position they had been settled in.

"Where the hell are your manners Arnav!" Anjali exclaimed truly embarrassed as Arnav just looked on with a straight face and bemused expression. He shook his head as if registering the scene he just witnessed and twisted his face in a weird way.

"Gosh! What are you guys? College lovers! I thought there were numerous rooms in this house..."

"What the f**k do you want?" his sister exclaimed yet again giving him one dirty look, as Arnav suddenly shifted his concentration onto his brother-in-law who stood turned away from him busily staring up at the ceiling with utmost concentration.

"You!" Arnav uttered. "You heard me!"

"Uh, I dint know..she dint know" Shyam simply stated turning around.

"She who?"

"I asked you to keep quite there, dint I?" Arnav spoke simply ignoring his sister as she continued to look between the two men positively baffled.

"You just gestured me to, I was just being.." Shyam stressed.

"A Smart-ass..."

"Arnav! Keep your tongue in check, and what's going on here?" Anjali butted in, now standing in the middle of them blocking Arnav's view to stare at Shyam.

"Just business honey"

"You stay away from her, get that?" Arnav continued to ignore Anjali and his concentration and communication was totally directed only towards Shyam as his furious+annoyed eyes were fixed on him.

"But, you are talking about a girl!" came Anjali's dramatic voice.

"Good discovery" Arnav finally acknowledged her with his bored expression. "Why don't you ask your husband who the girl is?" he smirked registering Shyam's sudden funny bewildered look, as he turned around to walk away.

"Oh no no! He is tricking you, I swear it's just some add-girl we are talking about..uh, um...why don't you ask your brother, if he is all packed ready to go?" he heard Shyam utter urgently diverting Anjali's mind and he fastened his steps before his sister could catch up to him, but it turns out that Anjali was too fast and too quick when it comes to investigate his travelling plans and he found himself stuck answering her question.

"When do you leave Arnav?"

"I was planning to leave after Diwali" he stated and looked up to see two pairs of wide eyes staring back at him with such confused look, for a moment, he thought he really did speak in some foreign language.

"I'm having a very important meeting back in Delhi office on the next day to Diwali, Nani insisted that I travel with her back while you guys spend your rest of the holidays here... what? Stop looking at me like that!!"

"Why?" was all his sister could ask in a complete daze making him instantly frown as he noticed the trade mark knowing look in Shyam's eyes.

"Di, I thought I just said the reason..."

"But... but why? Do you realize you would be spending Diwali with us after almost five years?"

"Yeah so? Di! I just told you Nani insisted that I..."

"...Why?" Anjali again cut him off causing his temper to raise instantly more because of the number of times he had heard the annoying three letter word that day.

"Don't bloody why' me! I hear that word one more time, I swear I'll..." he trailed off cursing yet again. "Listen to me carefully Anjali Jha, no one, I repeat NO ONE ever questions Arnav Singh Raizada, ever! Definitely not with the bloody three letter word that starts with w' and ends with y', I decide when I want to leave, when I want to stay, where I want to stay and if you do have problem with it, I don't bloody care!" he yelled but Anjali and Shyam remained still, not the least bit affected by his anger------Anjali nodding her head along with that of Arnav's, as he delivered his dialogue submerging her little laughs while Shyam standing quietly behind her, giving him his trade mark I-know-it-all' look.

Arnav looked between the both of them and rolled his eyes in disbelief before turning around to walk away from the two as soon as he can.

"So shall I call Sheethal and uh, her friend for Diwali party?" Anjali lifted herself on her toes trying to make her voice reach her brother.

"Whatever!"

She heard before she landed herself in her husband's arms grinning widely... "It's working!!! Time for Prank B" she squealed almost jumping in Shyam's embrace and he held her close, nodding his head trying to speak in between her excited squeals. "No, no , no, it's not what..."

Too late, he thought as he stood looking in-between his empty arms, shifting his eyes to watch his wife running away into the corridor resembling that of an over-excited kid.

**

As Arnav rubbed his eyes lazily, wiping away the sleep from his tired eyes forcing himself to stare at his laptop as the graphical moving images continued with the demonstration. He hit the pause button as he yet again realized he wasn't paying attention to the add-concept being depicted and groaned as his one hand went around his neck, gently massaging the area at the end of his hair while he flipped his head a little yawning.

He heard a small sound that distantly seemed like the sound of some foot-steps, just as he was about to rest his back on the recliner head. He instantly jerked up to a sitting position and looked around suspiciously. When he didn't hear anything for the next few moments, he shrugged and resumed his relaxing position closing his eyes. He then heard a loud urgent knock and he stood up abruptly, his eyes instantly flickering to the wall clock. He made his way towards the back door, even as he found himself frowning registering the time.

Two minutes later, he found himself staring at the very hazels that had been haunting his dreamy lately, looking back at him with some kind of unknown enthusiasm which distantly seemed familiar and after recovering from his initial shock his face broke into a surprised smirk.

"Hey!" he said taking a step away dramatically wandering his gaze all over her as she just looked on with same enthusiasm. She was dressed in her usual khaki shorts and a light colored cotton top, a kind of look he started associating only with her; her hair let down in loose strands, her face void of make-up, a complete non-groomed avatar, yet again making her mysterious self to come across easily.

"Hi!" he heard her say, her voice effectively breaking his stance and he looked up to meet her eyes. "Where the hell have you been last two days?" she asked completely taking him by surprise.

"Uh, work..." he just said unsure of the reason for the sudden question. "I was caught up actually.."

"Oh, I thought you left..."

"You did?" he raised an eye-brow as his insides did a tiny flip-flop with a funny feeling at the little confession.

"Uh-huh, since the time you came here, I kind of got used to talking to you, so, uh, you drink?" she asked nervously raising her both eye-brows questioningly.

"What?" he chuckled gripping his hand onto the opened door and leaning onto it, his eyes attuned to that of hers which looked unusually enthusiastic.

"Drink...you know like bear, whiskey..."

"Right, I think I know the brands pretty well" he nodded trying to process the little information she is trying to give him, his eyes observing her thoughtfully-------"You drink?"

She nodded the initial enthusiasm still evident in her eyes as the edges of his mouth lifted into an amused smirk even as he noticed her extracting her right hand that was until then angled behind her back, and along with it two bottles of flavored bear, as she held them up to him in a well-practiced way. He looked between the two bottles and her face for a couple of minutes before broking into another peal of chuckles, not quite figuring out his own reaction to the sudden invasion. She just smiled along with him and looked on as he nodded a yes. "Common in" he said meeting her eyes.

"What? In your room? No way!! It's too closed up for my liking!"

"Excuseme! This has the best sea-view in this whole vicinity, and this my very own personal design!"

"Great job indeed. Who wants a Sea-view, when you can have the Sea?"

"Huh?"

"Common RichieRich, you are officially invited to the khushi Kumari Gupta's mansion today..." she said already turning around, without giving him time to decide as he noticed her hurriedly jumping down the spiral stair case and looked on as a sudden stream of distant panic engulfing him when he noticed her skip the last two of steps hazily, causing her to hop onto the sand below, stumbling, yet composing herself to stand still...all in mere few seconds.

"Khushi---careful..." he almost uttered aloud amidst, only to bit back his words, deciding to trust her wannabe confident' self more than his knowledge for a change, yet again.

**

"Since when do you drink?"

"Why do you want to believe that the Khushi you met once long ago, doesn't drink?"

He flipped his glance to his right instantly trying to figure out how to respond to that, and even as he did so, his stance was stilled. Seated at the extreme end of a rock, that stood what seemed like a small fly-over from the sea-shore to the center of the sea, at a high altitude as it ended mid-way leaving the blunt edge of the stone right above a few meters from the interior depth of sea. The rock stood at a decent height from the shore----what looked like a small hill above the ground, at the far away end of the Cavelossim beach, away from the world and away from the people in such a way that Arnav could actually relate himself to the word serenity, that people always described experiencing in such places. It never happened to him before, although he has seen better beauties of the world; the feeling was completely new, foreign and he tried to figure out what made the place stand out, to actually make him feel the way he was feeling. Or maybe it was this kind of mysterious company which he never had before, something that kept him at the edge anticipating the moment that follows after each second and at the same time urging him to slow down, relax, take a moment and actually observe himself rather than let the time pass away just for the heck of it-----a kind of feeling completely foreign to him. Right now, even as she stared straight ahead into the distant thick water bed, her eyes lost yet serene, her hair blowing away from her face, her hands tugging the rock beneath them securely holding herself as her legs oscillated in the air, her bare foot making patterns in nothing and her stance completely unaware and unaffected by his thought process----he wondered, what the hell was he doing here as a small serene smile made its way into his eyes.

"Are you like judging me?" she said not shifting her attention from the water, as she fetched her hand bending her head back to pull a swig from her bear bottle.

"Nope, I'm just thinking..." he spoke trying to get his mind wandered off mind back to their actual conversation. "Uh, you------"

"Final year, I guess, but I just tasted, since I was being compelled" she said not looking away from the waves, as she could see the side-view of the juggling waves from where she sat, another reason which she loved this place. Sitting at that place in such height, looking at the sea from almost its side periphery, she could watch the rush of waves almost from where they actually begin in the sea-bed, or so, she felt.

"Oh..."

"But, it's the Goa ambience I guess, I wanted to try again and I felt good..." She continued and he could see the alcohol quite kicking in her voice, as she sounded much more relaxed, much more non-conscious of his presence and her talks seemed much natural, which he knew wouldn't have been easy for a sober Khushi. He chuckled, causing her to finally shift his attention to him, while he stole a look at her sideways, pulling a swig of his own bear.

"What?" she asked, locking his eyes.

"Now, you sound like the depressed soul, using alcohol as escapism..." he said teasing.

"Common! You really are judging me! What is with you men and categorizing women?"

"Nope, I'm definitely not categorizing you" he said emphasizing... "I'm just curious, I don't think..." He trailed off not quite figuring out what he wanted to say when she flipped her head a little, shrugging her shoulders, her eye-brows narrowed as if probing him to continue.

"Uh, forget it..." He rolled his eyes thoughtfully.

"You know what your problem is Arnav?"

"I'm all ears..."

"You are desperately trying to associate me with the khushi you first met, but the thing is Arnav, that Khushi is lost somewhere, I'm tired of finding her myself; And what's more worse is that, you seem to have a very great image of that Khushi..." she stopped her presentation- level explanation and looked at him questioningly. "How do you even remember her so much? Did you by any chance get attracted to her back then?"

"Whoa, whoa! Stop right there!" he exclaimed even as his eyes went wide and that was followed by a dismissing chuckle. "First, you speaking of yourself in the third person is totally freaking me out, second the Khushi I met all those years ago was one hell of a stupid, over-talkative, annoying girl, so stop being self-obsessed, whatever you are today, you are doing good for yourself..."

"Really?" she suddenly butted in his nonchalant blabber, which is when he replayed his words in his mind and processed what they actually meant. He locked his gaze with that of her hazels and looked on as her eyes stared back at him expectantly. Somehow, at that moment he knew it was important for her to hear out someone one say those very words and actually meaning them. Somehow amidst her lonely journey, he felt she really might need someone to stop by, pat her back and say---she was doing good for herself. But then, he couldn't help the sudden uneasiness this thought brought along with it. It was like he could see her struggling through a lot, if not literally, mentally she definitely is and he has no idea what it was, that got her into this whole mess in the first place. And for the love of him, he couldn't figure out why that missing stack of information mattered to him, but it did and he was tired of denying it. But at the same time, as he looked on at her determined self, struggling her way through life, her content stance for having crossed that whateverphase it was, he didn't have the heart to push her back into it. All in all, Arnav was one confused soul at the moment----- but despite everything else, as he looked on at her hopeful, expectant eyes, he pushed all his uncertain thoughts away and did what came to his mind first.

"You are doing very good for yourself Khushi" he stated with his eyes pouring out the sincerity in his mind, and his voice with the right amount of confidence needed.

Khushi smiled in gratitude, as her eyes beamed with something that could distantly be termed as pride, her lips curving up into a glorious little smile as her one lip tugged below her teeth innocently, making his insides to warm up with an adoring feeling. But even as the self-satisfied look made its way in her eyes, it was replaced eventually into a gloomy look and she looked away, causing him to frown.

"What's wron------"

"You see those waves?"

Escapism, brushing off, diverting the topic, keeping people at bay----he have seen it all, been there and he exactly knew what she was trying to do. But to say it gave him this immense disorientation to see her go through such phase would be an understatement. He was bothered for reasons unknown, and he thought finding out what happened with her would only put an end to this unsettled feeling that had been torturing him. & so, Arnav singh Raizada made an impulsive decision at that moment, which would be put into action only later on.

"Sea it is, so waves is what I can really see" he answered bringing back his witty self observing her little instant chuckle and lightening up of her mood----just as he expected.

"Right, you know? The rushing waves have a very interesting significance to life----"

"Of course, how can I not expect a philosophy class sitting with you?"

"There definitely are somethings that the time cannot change Arnav, now listen..."

"Do I have an option?"

"Right, you don't... it is said that the waves are by default intertwined with the sea, but they always try to reach the shore totally in vain. Yet, they don't give up; each time the sea pulls them back into its depths, they become even more determined to reach the shore---yet every effort goes in vain" she paused and looked at him only to be met by his utterly bored look. She chuckled processing his blank mind, and smirked even more suddenly determined to bore him more.

"You know like the waves are officially married to the sea, but they are always deeply in love with the shore, have always been..." she continued with a dramatic dreamy look, as she smirked internally. She looked at him again only to be met by the same bored gaze, not one single nerve in his face moved to give away any kind of expression. She laughed even as he continued to stare in the same robotic way.

"Arnav! God!" She said in between her laughs, "Okay stop please, you look ridiculously funny" she added referring to his mechanic face.

"Why Khushi, why are we doing this conversation?" he said his face breaking into a small dramatic frown.

"Uh, actually I'm bored of drinking in this place alone, Sheethal doesn't drink and the sea was fed up hearing my blabber..."

"You talk out loud sitting here?"

"Uh, drinking does that to me, I can't help it!"

"Sheethal doesn't drink?"

"Uh don't ask, she does but not like this for fun, only in parties, her habits sometimes freaks me out.."

"Oh, she doesn't drink, that's strange" he said thoughtfully oblivious to her sudden narrowed gaze.

"You sound impressed..."

"Are you jealous?" he smirked causing her to laugh out loud as she instantly got up in sudden jerking movement causing him to flinch at the danger of the place and her careless, rather over-confident attitude as he followed her movements to stand up behind her walking off self.

"You are mad Arnav, totally self-obsessed; I didn't know you flirt even-----"

"Khushi" he called out and she turned around to face him standing at the end of the rock they were sitting, the sea in the back-ground standing out in the dark view"she raised her eye-brow.

"I know you are quite used to this whole damn place and you are one hell of a confident woman, but, can...can you please be careful next time when you do such things?"

"Huh?" she was positively confused.

"Jumping off the slippery rock, hopping from alternate steps of a freaking spiral staircase, pushing yourself off such dangerous heights vigorously...god khushi, grow some seeds in your brain!"

"I, uh------"

"Shut up! Just---just be careful okay?" he urged unknown, undefined pull of a feeling completely captivating him. She just nodded in a daze, as he ignored her and walked past her to climb down the way to the shore.

**

"Arnav?" she called out after walking down in complete silence for a while, with him leading down the path. They were now almost near the shore, climbing down a rock that was a little above the ground and he turned around to look at her, pausing. She locked her eyes with that of his and slowly stretched her hand offering it to him for help.

He just looked on, half-confused, half-surprised and more than anything else, uncertain. He stared for another moment before registering the determined look in her eyes and took her hand in his ever so tenderly. He hopped down onto the ground with her hand in his and turned around, looking up intently to meet her eyes. He just held her hand uncertainly yet securely as she flashed a little smile before jumping down with his hand instantly supporting her movement.

She stumbled a little, once on the ground and held onto his shoulder instantly, as his hand gripped her elbow all in such rush of moments, that they dint really have time to process the proximity that the little jump put them in----and when they did, a sudden rush of sea-breeze brushed his nostrils, causing him to engulf the sweet clover of her aura yet again and he was lost, possessed by a sudden unknown desire, he was once familiar with.

He looked on, his brown honey orbs oscillating between her nervous hazels, as his hand on its own accord captivated hers in a rather strong held. He could see her eyes flickering nervously images of a different time flashing in between them, but it occurred to him like his neck has a mind of its own, as he found himself arching his head in an angle bringing his nose towards the place between her chin and her neck, her eyes closed in slow determined motion----he found himself totally lost, even as his mind ordered him to back off. Before he knew it, the tip of his nose, touched the tender area he was aiming at and she gasped.

He opened his eyes as if snapped back into reality and looked at her as she pushed him away using her palm on his chest. He stumbled back a little still in daze and before he knew it, she was taking nervous cautious steps away from him, her eyes holding his in imprisonment with narrowed questioning daggers.

"Khushi-----"

He stretched his hand determined to say something, anything though would sound right at the moment but nothing came into his mind as he just looked on at her backing away form, her head oscillating a little, but the hatred he expected to find in her eyes was not to be found, instead there was a small emotion that distantly felt like a glow of blush mixed with uncertainty.

"Khushi, I----"

He tried again, to check if there would be any signs of hatred or hysteric reaction, but none came. There was only uncertainty, a look of positive nervousness and he was bewildered with himself for even being able to notice it. Before he could process that little information, she turned around and broke into a quick run, taking long purposeful strides. He just stood there, with his feet drenched in salty water, his hands going around his head confusion evident in his stance and his eyes fixed to the running petite form, soon vanishing away into the distance.

I am confused with this khushi yet I understand her. Her getting drunk, her taking risks a d finally taking Arnav's support. Keeping in relation to the last chapter, her realization for what Arnav has done and is doing.. Loving the way the story is unfolding.

Hello there , new reader on board.

My friend 1chilly (charu) had recommended me this story very strongly and i recently also saw it on a post where stories deserving more readers were listed.

I sat reading it last night and could not stop until the last chapter updated.
What a unique story line , and you have done a stupendous job at handling this sensitive issue.
I had tears in my eyes for a better portion of this story , i really hope that moving forward Khushi leads a more positive life.

If Arnav is a man to look up to for his resilience and faith in Khushi , Khushi herself is a brave young woman , kudos to you for writing these characters.
Loads of suspense related to her past is still very much high ,looking forward to reading.

Another brilliant update... Khushi knows she feels indebted to Arnav but there's also something else there. I think that even though Arnav knows he has feeling for Khushi and can probably sense her inner turmoil he probably won't act on anything until Khushi becomes more comfortable with him - which she has. The end with them playing a game of volleyball showed them reminiscing of their college days.
Looking forward to what happens next... I know Khushi's confidence is a work in progress and it'll take some time but its great to see how the small simple things such as a game of sport are helping her move forward 👏
