'Welcome' sequel is back with more fun & laughter

Six years after Welcome, producer Firoz A Nadiadwala and director Anees Bazmee are geared to return with the sequel of their comedy flick.

The new venture, titled Welcome Back, will have a new lead pair " John Abraham and Shruti Haasan. However, Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar and Paresh Rawal will reprise their roles as Majnu Bhai, Uday Bhai and Dr Ghungroo respectively.

The original film, starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, was a hit, thanks to the music and humour. The second installment of the franchise, claim the makers, will be an out-and-out entertainer with even more interesting elements.

Says Anil, "I enjoyed playing Majnu Bhai in Welcome because of its madness and fun, and the audience loved it too. I hope and pray that the audience enjoys Majnu Bhai even more this time."

John adds, "I'm really excited to be part of this franchise and to be working alongside talented actors like Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar and Paresh Rawal."

The film's shooting is currently underway.
