Run in with Salman Khan cost Nargis Fakhri a film

When Sooraj Barjatya arranged a screen test for Nargis Fakhri for his upcoming film starring Salman Khan, after he heard of the actress' wish to be cast opposite the 'Dabangg' actor, it seemed too good to be true. Wishes in Bollywood are rarely granted quickly, but Nargis seemed on the fast track.

However, we now hear that Nargis may no longer be part of Sooraj's film " and that it may due to her run-in with Salman at a recent party.

For those not in the loop, Nargis' meeting with Salman at David Dhawan's recent birthday bash had led to reports that the superstar tried to get close to the actress. "Salman had expected Nargis to quash the allegations as soon as they surfaced, but there was no follow up (from her side). He doesn't need to put up with such baseless stories. If he decided to axe her from his film with Sooraj (based on that incident) it's totally justified," said one source close to Salman.

With Nargis out of the reckoning, Anushka Sharma, Asin and Deepika Padukone are among the actresses who are in for a role opposite Salman.
