We have all seen her steady progress from a non-dancer to a dancer in a popular realty dance show. Her confidence and charisma helped her win several accolades from the dance master Saroj Khan and memories of the show are still fresh in her mind. She says, "The entire experience was awesome and I think I never worked so hard on anything all my life. I started the show with five left feet but I am happy to have emerged as a winner at the end of the show in my own way." The real challenge for her was to match her unguided steps with her husband's dancing prowess.
Talk about her marriage and a broad smile spread over her face. She says, "Being from the same profession helps as apart from giving steady companionship your partner also allows you the space to grow as an individual. Marriage is a beautiful journey about finding yourself." Her take on Valentine's Day celebration and pat comes
her reply, "I don't need one day to celebrate the feeling of love with Manav. We are married and have 365 day to ourselves to cherish togetherness."
Moving towards her professional life, Kwatra is clear of one thing — 'It's best not to aspire for a dream role on television'. She says, "I am content doing negative characters as they still have a certain variety and challenge. But I am open to roles that are refreshingly new and offer a certain challenge to an actor."
Kwatra who returns to the small screen after a hiatus of two years in a daily show was busy travelling across the globe. She says, "I love travelling as I get to explore and learn about new cultures and traditions. The one place that I am completely in awe of is Africa as the place is endowed with natural beauty and rich wild life especially Nairobi. That country still has a rawness which is worth relishing."
Not many know that this young and bubbly actress had other plans in life and acting was more like of serendipity. "Though I was modelling during my college days I always wanted to become a psychiatrist but somehow that did not materialise as destiny had other plans for me. But still I have not killed that ambition and will work towards it once I have sufficient time on hand."
Guess what is her best way of unwinding? Talking! "Yes I think talking is the best stress buster. When I come back from the shot I spell out the entire days details to Manav and it really refreshes me. Just talk and see how it works wonder"
Kwatra who is a pretty much motivated person herself is practicing Buddhism and is on her way for spiritual awakening. She says, "It's important to lead a holistic life and strive to serve the society while fulfiling ones needs."
