Lack of GK?! Nice burn, but this girl hasn't been on a lot of people's radar for awhile now. And a lot of people on this very forum haven't even heard of her before BB...def a good indicator of her popularity.

THere are so many people who do not live in India who haven't heard of Pratyusha. Hell, my neighbours don't know who she is and I live in Europe. I hadn't heard of her until Sunday when she entered and I googled her. Popularity doesn't mean anything especially when you need to come on shows like Bigg Boss just to relaunch your career. Hah. 😆

In EU countries, several TV channels have rights purchased to air BV. My friend owns one TV station which airs in Balkans reported 1.5 million fans. Since Toral entered, viewership went down to almost nothing so this fall that slot is going to another, brand new non Indian serial. They wanted their Anandi and no one else...they fell in love with Prats... they love her...comments on articles about her clearly say that they want to watch her... doing whatever serial.

Demographics say her fans are 16 - 80 of age.

She is ranked #7 on the Indian Actresses List and #38 on the World List in popularity above some Hollywood A list-ers... above Charlize Theron! Go figure!

It's hard to phantom, but she is loved, European viewers like actors, not roles... they wished Anandi wasn't covered in her clothes so they can see more of Prats. They hand pick their actors and that's it. if they are not on TV they watch sports, or go to art gallery. BTW, her off screen interviews with co-star Siddharth Shukla were more popular than BV.

And to a channel having a star bankable in international markets means pure profit, no overhead.

And she was told all this by her fans... which completely shocked her! Is she popular? To you personally no. Hey she wasn't that popular to herself either till recently, that might explain her saying did you read... coz she got links and copies of many articles about her after she left BV. But to the millions all over - yes! She's got fans in Fiji... and that shocked me!

on personal note, I don't watch daily soaps... until one day someone told me look at this girl... and the rest is history...
