The iron woman who lives by the book of steel and resolve of mountains. A woman who dedicated her life to the service of the Mughals. A woman who took arrows and stood in the way of cannon balls so that Jalaal could live. A woman who gave Jalaal the umbrella of a mother figure while his biological mother struggled and hid elsewhere. A woman whose one word is carved in stone for Jalaal and is completely irrevocable. A woman whom Jalaal placed on such a pedestal and such blind faith that one thinks this must be the stuff that legends are made of.
MaahamAnga - Jalaal's "Badee Ammie". A mother-son relationship that is so close and entwined that even the wind cannot pass through it. But something did, guess... Maaham's dark mind and her darker ambitions( which need not be political necessarily ). Something inside Maaham is greater than her maternal obsession with Jalaal... What is it? We shall know in time.
Jalaal - like it was said by everyone, unless he unravels the truth on his own , and sees his Badee Ammie in the devil's mirror , he would behead a million heads than believe that she is capable of harming even a fly , let alone his unborn baby. That is exactly what has happened today. Jalaal was - I don't know - no poetry, prose are ever enough to describe the worst state of mind that a human-being can go through - TRAUMA. You can see it , feel it , but no words can describe what the heart and your root of life suffers. Jalaal felt what a tree would feel if its gardener decides to cut it , what a son would feel if his mother poisons him , what a puppy would feel if its owner leaves it in the winter rain to die... Death of TRUST. It hollows you out and you never have faith again - the damage done to you is too much.
I don't know what will happen on Monday or what chessboard Maaham will lay out next , but Jalaal , inspite of the tempest that he is feeling , and all the emotional baggage parked aside, does raise his figurative sword at Maaham. Phir bhi... Jis haath ne bachpan pe panaah di, uss par haath uthaane mein, usski rooh ek baar hi sahee... kaampi to zaroor hogee.
As for Maaham, well, she is not your regular vamp - she beats 50 shades of grey and her mind is a chessboard on its own. Yes, she is ready with her next move... and until and unless she meets her match... this powerful dark woman bathed in blinding light is gonna just sit and tap her fingers on the arms of the invisible throne that she sits on.
But hey, its not all that surprising - this trust labyrinth. Its embedded in the dark side of human nature. Maaham to phir bhi Jalaal ki 'Badee Ammie' hai, log to Aurangzeb bhi hote hain jo apne he Abbu (Shahjaan ) ko zanjeeron mein daalkar ek ghada paani ke saath chaar deewaron mein bandh kar dette hain...
Remember what Jalaal said?
"Wahaadari bahot kismat se milti hai."
