What does Nikhil expect from Ishaana?

I don't understand what Nikhil expects from Ishaana. The man is married, has refused to leave Lajjo so what exactly does he expect from Ishaana? What does telling her, he only "loves" her do? If he can't leave his wife then why should Ishaana stick around? What is she going to do with the professions of love from Nikhil if he can't leave Lajjo. Truly, I think he's a confused man!😕 I mean, he's super sweet and thoughtful but when it comes to this issue he really has to think more...

Very true! If he can't leave his wife then he shouldn't expect her to stick around with a married man (even one that loves her and not his wife)!

And I'm interested in seeing how & why Ishaana will decide to stick around for Nikhil, knowing him the way she does (or says she does) she should realize that he doesn't have it in him to leave Lajjo stranded...

I was thinking though Ishana mom told him this is known as an extra marital affair still he did not acknowledge her words well.

Yeah, it's very unrealistic of him not to realize the dilemma he is trying to put them into by pursuing Ishana. He should definitely head Ishana's moms words... I'm sure when they do decide to "see" each other again it will be behind her mom's back.

@bold: I don't know how that would solve anything, unless Lajjo were not to return to the village after studies, otherwise her parents and her would face the same issues were he to return her right now.
