This story takes us around 300 years ago. Here, Kria is Kairi and Rey is Rousse.
PS- Both are French names.
"Come on Kairi" Rousse said
"No, I can't run anymore" Kairi replied
"Love, once we reach the other side of the river, you can have plenty of rest. For now we need to hurry. Your father would arrive here any minute"
Kairi gathered some energy, and took hold of Rousse's hand and they both started running towards the river bank.
"Hey you boatman, come here" shouted Rousse
"Yes, (turning towards kairi) How can I help my princess?"
"Get us to the other end of the river" ordered Kairi, breathing heavily due to running.
"But my princess, the weather is not good for travelling. There is rain and thunder storm. It is very dangerous." The boatman replied.
"Just do as I say" commanded Kairi.
"Ok princess, I promise to take you to the other end safely"
The boatman asked them to climb on the boat. He started the boat but they were finding it very difficult to cross the river.
"Kairi, just hold my hand forever. Whatever happens we will face it together."
"Yes, Rousse, even if we don't survive today we will die together"
"We will survive, for sure"
Kairi was holding Rousse's hand very tightly.
After sometime Kairi spoke
"Rousse, what will happen if father catches us, I won't be able to face him"
"Ssshhh. Nothing will happen. Just keep hope.
With this he kissed her forehead.
"STOP YOU BOTH" someone shouted from behind
Kairi and Rousse turned around and saw Kairi's father, the king of Kaffraria.
Kairi couldn't control anymore. Tears were spilling out of her eyes recklessly.
"STOP ONCE, OR I'll GET THIS LAD KILLED"
But the boatman didn't stop. He followed the orders of his princess not thinking about his own future.
Seeing his daughter going away, his wrath changed into bemoaning.
"Come back my daughter, come back"
Kairi stretched one of her hand indicating her father to come and get them but her other hand was holding Rousse's hand tightly never intending to leave him.
But the helping hand of the king never came.
Soon, both of them reached the shore.
"I kept my promise princess and prince of Zaire" said the boatman
They said a thank you to the boatman and ran off to the prince's castle to lead a happy life ever after.
