Prachi in a Car Accident! - Article

What was supposed to be a rehearsal turned into a disaster of sorts on the sets of Zee's Kasamh Se. Prachi Desai aka Bani was sitting in a car for a shot and was supposed to step out of the vehicle as the director gave his cue.

However, when the time came, the driver started driving the car at the same time that Prachi was stepping out. This resulted in the actress's leg coming under the wheel and getting severely injured.

Miscommunication

Currently resting at home with her right foot completely bandaged, Prachi says, "It was one of the scariest experiences I have gone through. In fact, I have become afraid of cars now." Describing what happened, she says, "We weren't actually doing the real take, it was a rehearsal.

I was sitting inside the car and was supposed to come out of it looking at the camera. However, the minute the director said 'action', the driver too started moving the car. As a result of this, my right foot came under the car tyre. It was the most painful experience ever."

Prachi was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where she was administered first-aid and her foot was bandaged. "I've now been advised bed rest for a week. I want to get well soon so I can resume work," she says.

Usually Prachi has her mother giving her company on the sets. However, she wasn't around when the accident happened. "My mom was busy with some work at home. I am glad she wasn't there to witness my accident."

😲 😲 😒 t4s...awww i feel bad for prachi...I no how she feels bout bein scared of cars, it gets really freaky when you r sitting in the care few days after an accident...but then 2 weeks later itz bak 2 normal!!!!

that must suck...i'm dead scared of driving cars and vehicles and stuff too...that's becasue i was in 3 car accidents before!!! so i understand her fright!

Though I'm elder to her, my respect for this girl is unwavering as an individual (touchwood). How she can handle such a hectic schedule is beyond my understanding. To shoot for 14-16 hours (learn dialogues, worry about her peformance) and simultaneously worry about the most important exams one must take (academically) is more than over filling her plate. And on top of that she will be attending the Zee Carnival inspite and despite her injury. Whatever anyone may or may not say, she has truly earned every bit of "name" and "fame" she has recevied in such a short amount of time (touchwood).
