Chapter Nine

Its early morning and two beautiful souls are peacefully sleeping. The alarm disturbs their peace.

"Rey get up dude!" said Swayam dressing up.

"Swayam sone de yaar" said Rey irritatingly.

"Rey uth yaar. Teri waja se mein bhi late ho raha hu!" said Swayam pulling over Rey's blanket.

"Mere sone se tujhe kyun late ho raha hai?" asked Rey.

"Rey tu uth aur rehearsals pe ja. Mujhe Sharon ke saath jana hai. She'll be waiting for me" said Swayam.

"Swayam you can leave, meine tujhe pakad ke nahi rakha hai!" said Rey.

"Mere nikalte hi tu soo jayega. Get up!" said Swayam and pushes Rey out of his bed making him fall down.

"What the hell!" says Rey getting up.

"So now that you got up, freshen up and leave. I'm leaving too. Meet you in college" said Swayam and dashed out of Rey's room.

"Swayam, tujhe toh mein dekh lunga!" exclaimed Rey and went to freshen up.

Taani wakes up and closes her alarm.

"Mmm.." she groans getting rid of her blues.

Her phone beeps and it shows a message from Rey: Good Morning. I'm reaching rehearsal hall in 20 minutes. You too be there. : )'

"20 minutes! I'll need to rush!" thinks Taani and quickly goes to freshen up.

Rey gets ready and leaves for college. He first goes to the orphanage, meets Khushi drops her to her school and then goes to college. Taani soon reaches. She rushes to rehearsal hall and finds Rey warming up. For a minute or two she just stands at the door and stares at him blankly. Rey feels someone staring at him, so he turns and spots Taani at the door.

"Hey. Waha kyun khadi ho?" he asks her.

"Voh bas..kuch nahi" says Taani who herself didn't know why she was standing there.

"You know Taani I was thinking ki aaj waise bhi late hua hai hum dono ko, so instead of starting with our routine why not just loosen ourselves a bit?" suggests Rey.

"Matlab? Mein kuch samjhi nahi" Taani asks back.

"Lets just freak out on any song. Utne hum thode relaxed bhi ho jayenge" said Rey.

"Haan sahi kaha. Waise bhi yesterday was a heavy day" says Taani remembering the happenings of the previous day.

"Sorry for that" Rey apologizes sensing what she meant.

"Rey please stop saying sorry" pleaded Taani.

"Alright, but only if you would Dhating Naach with me" said Rey winking at her.

"Rey meine kabhi koi bollywood song pe dance nahi kiya hai" Taani tried to oppose though she knew she liked dancing on Bollywood numbers but just in her room.

"Taani agar tum dance nahi karogi toh mujhe lagega that you haven't forgiven me" said Rey in a childish way.

Taani smiled at him and said, "Ok. I'll dance."

Rey started the music player.

*Music*

Rey does some nautanki steps. Taani sees him doing it and it makes her laugh her heart out and she too joins him.

Taani sings to Rey. She does some steps. (the same as Nargis does in the song, see video for step)

Rey pops up behind her and sings the above lines. He does the same steps in squatting position. (See video for step)

By the end of the song both are doing the masti wala dance. When the song ends they both lie on the floor laughing.

Rey was looking at Taani and says, "Mein tumhe ek compliment du?"

Taani gets up and sits, "I know. I laugh very cutely!" says Taani.

"Nah! You look cute while laughing!" says Rey while getting up.

Taani feels a bit ticklish listening to his compliment. Rey too wonders why he said such after he realized what he said. Both start looking here and there. Taani breaks the silence.

"Swayam aur Sharon aaj kyun nahi aaye?" asks Taani.

"Dono date pe gaye hai" says Rey.

"Itni subah!" exclaims Taani.

"Yeah! Crazy Swayam's idea of an unusual date. To my surprise even Sharon agreed" says Rey making a horrible face.

"Aisi shakal kyun bana rahe ho. If they two are cool with it toh tum itne weird kyun behave kar rahe ho?" asks Taani.

"Well sweetheart reason yeh hai ki, Swayam ko kuch different karna tha. I suggested him a few things but nahi. Usne koi surprise nahi rakha aur sube sube Sharon ke saath nikal gaya" says Rey.

"Sahi kaha. Usse expert se salah leni chahiye thi!" said Taani after recovering from the sweetheart effect.

"See tum kitne jaldi samajh gayi!" said Rey and giggled.

"Practice bohot atchi hui lag raha hai" said Sharon entering.

Rey whistles looking at Sharon who was wearing a red one piece. "Someone looking hot and sexy today" he said and started to go near Sharon.

Taani smiled at his compliment, as she knew that Mr. Flirt is back in action.

Swayam came in between them. "Kya kaha tune?" he asked Rey.

"Yahi ki aaj meri beautiful bohot hi jyada sexy lag rahi hai!" said Rey winking at Sharon.

"Thanks Rey" said Sharon.

"Sharon tumne hi bigaad ke rakha hai isse. Teri girlfriend hogi na toh yeh sab dekh ke teko voh chod hi degi" said Swayam.

"Agar voh yeh sab dekh ke Rey ko chod de, toh she isn't worth being his girlfriend" said Sharon.

"Sahi kaha Sharon. Agar vo chod ke gayi toh iska matlab usse trust nahi hai" supported Taani.

"Can we just stop talking about meri girlfriend hogi toh kaise hogi!" said Rey getting irritated by the talks.

"Yeah please. Isse kyun itni importance de rahe ho?" said Swayam and giggled.

"Alelelele baby ko bura laga ki koi usse baat hi nahi kar raha" said Rey in a kiddish voice.

"Swayam seal your lips!" exclaimed Sharon sensing a quarrel.

"Rey, Taani, routine ka kya hua?" asked Sharon in a stern voice.

"Assistant boss se aise baat kar rahi hai! Kya din aa gaye hai!" said Rey in a dramatic way.

"Rey!" said Sharon angrily.

"Sharon, tum itna gussa kyun kar rahi ho. He's just kidding" said Taani.

"Tum hi batao kiya kya?" said Sharon.

"Aaj toh koi routine set nahi kiya. Kal se serious rehearsals karenge" said Taani.

"Toh aaj kiya kya?" asked Sharon narrowing her eyes.

"Taani ko rehearsal hall mein comfortable feel karwaya" said Rey giving a wide smile.

"In short tune usse force kiya ki vo tujhe kal ke incident ke liye forgive kar de!" said Sharon smirking.

"She had already forgiven me!" Rey snapped back.

"He is right Sharon. Even you are partly right. He did do it to apologize, but I already had forgiven him!" explained Taani.

"Guys hum baaki ki baate baad mein kare please. Lecture ka time ho gaya hai!" said Swayam.

"As you wish sir!" said Rey, Taani and Sharon together.

They left to attend classes.
