Implication:
From my limited understanding, today's lyrics mirrored Jai's passion. The man has literally experienced death in the harshest form of the term. Despite being so near to his beloved, there exists this deathly distance, which impinges upon his burdened soul. Within his grasp, he seems to have attempted all possibilities at getting her back, went through all tests of fate he has. Yet still, the distances remain futile, his yearn ever present. In the midst of this dilemma, Jai has this understanding, this determination that come what may, he will be with her always. If not as anything else, but as an undetected shadow. He will make sure that whatever obstacle comes her way; it shall first come upon him, and see that the directions of happiness flow towards her. In a similar context, he has not forgotten all, and perhaps never can. Nevertheless, he seeks forgiveness, and a flicker of hope beams somewhere within. One chance is all he asks, a chance to show the depth of his passion secured for her. A chance to collect the shards, and mend that dream, so delicately cherished by them both.
