Dipping numbers force creatives to bring changes in Mahadev's story

Ever since the creatives decided to bring in the Ramayan plot, ratings took a dip.

This week's ratings, Shapath has beaten Mahadev and has become the number one show on the channel.
This dip in TVTs has alarmed the creative team of Mahadev.

Now, it has been decided that the Ramayan track will be wrapped up at a galloping space and the story will re focus on Mahadev and his histrionics.

Nikhil Sinha says, TVTs do keep falling and rising and that there is a fall in TVT's but cannot say for sure if its just because of Ramayan. The Ramayan track will continue as planned till mid- October and they are rectifying it by introducing interesting tracks on Mahadev running parallel to the Ramayan track to keep audience hooked on to the show if at all number dip is due to Ramayan.

can't blame fully on ramayan some surprising unwanted things (replacement) is also responsible. The show has lost its charm. Can't help it . The last hope is only Mahaepisode 2morow

Thank God not so crazy about the show anymore otherwise would be banging my head now. Some things happen for the best. 😆

They should show the establishment of the Rameshwaran Jyotirlinga, which is important, but the rest of the Ramayan can be shown as a narration. In fact, it could have been in the form of Parvati telling a story to Andhak 😆

But honestly speaking, having gotten rid of Sona, I don't see them recovering, even by showing proper Mahadev stories: as it is, they have ruined things by showing moronic depictions of Mahishashur, Durgam, Shumbha and Tripura stories.

Why am I not surprised? 😆

Hi guys since I stopped watching altogether after Sona's replacement but general viewers still watch it, although many missed her there r also some new shows whch are affecting the trps n have seriously caught viewers fancy...!!

The result is obvious never good for a show to replace a popular lead actress and that too in the most dubious manner and what did u except people will lap up puranic stories any which way u twist.
Loss of viewership due to replacement and mainly due to bad content now.
Not easy to recover and Jodha Akbar is giving stiff competition to all not just DKDM but even Ballika Vadhu which was queen in the 8pm slot.

If this ME works miracles it is good but the show has lost a lot of good will and if it recovers some than good for the show and channel which is banking on it the most.
Non fiction and super fiction like Savdhaan India and Shapath are doing good for the channel not only in India but also UK and other places.
No wonder those are getting most coverage space in the channel. 😳
