Radhika who didn't understand what was happening stared when suddenly the lights are on and every one was standing there, singing the Birthday song to her, she was just shocked...
Though it was a truth to say Never in her life does Radhika celebrate her birthday as she never know when it was. She compensated it by celebrating the birthday of her favourite god and her beloved spouse to the highest on the day of Janmashtami . And listening a birthday song sung for her for the first time in her life made tears run from her eyes , but she was knocked off from her thoughts when she felt two pairs of arms surrounding her and they were of Maan and Dev, they were lifting her to make her sit on their shoulders and she can't help but laugh. The emotion going on in her doesn't help her to stop smile and she was unable to find a better word to describe her emotion. Seeing her brother as one of the monkey was a dream of her Bhabhi she know it and she was very happy when she saw it happening.
As they went near every one finally Radhika was brought down and her father came fore front who wished her a "Happy Birthday". He handed her a gift, with shaking hands she took the pack and as she opened it she found an album which had her childhood photos in which she was being holded by her mother. Shankar came forward and said "U are ur mom's daughter, amongst the three children I have. Even Ruby had the similarities with me than ur mom. Ur mom will always be proud of u, as u are living in the way she like to live" Radhika looked at her father , moving her hand through her mom's face and hugged him tightly with tears in her eyes.
It was a shock to every one present there to see Radhika like that because, though she had problems she never display her emotions too publicly, and for the first time seeing her like that made many of them realise how stressed she was all these years.
Dev wanted to go to her and comfort her, but he know that she need this, she faced so much in the last one year, when he was unable to stop his break down despite of having so many to confront , it was very foolish to expect Radhika to stop from her break down, when she had no one to say that. He stopped every one from going to comfort her and let her stay like that for some time when her father was whispering her some soothing words to make her smile again. It was then Abhi came there and hold Radhika and started to call her "Chachi"
Radhika came out and looked at him "Haan Abhi"
Abhi:Chachi, tell me how to cry na
Radhika frowned and asked him "What"
Abhi:U are crying and these people are giving u gifts, so I too want to cry so that they can give me gifts
Radhika broke into laugh when Vivek came forward and sitting beside Abhi said "Chachi ki bachhu! aaj chachi ka birthday hain, is liye chachi ko gift de rahe hain"
Abhi:Wow... Chachi, is it ur first birthday
Radhika nodded and hugged him when he wished her Happy Birthday.
Then came every one front , at first Senior RP and Vaishali, wished her giving her their gift followed by Dadima, then it was followed by Maan-Geet,and Mrinalini -vivek. Then all the friends gave them their gifts. All this while Dev was standing aside looking at her smiling as she was happily taking her b'day gifts as a one year kid . Finally they all decided that there will be a party that evening and then left to rest, when Radhika looked at him seriously and left into her room. Dev didn't understand what made her so serious and followed her up, as he came into the room she saw a shocked Radhika standing there looking at room, he smiled hugging her from behind resting his chin on her shoulder and asked her "Do u like it? birthday baby"
Radhika was lost in the room, the room was filled with candles and flowers beautiful decorated and the balcony was open giving a nice view of the full moon. But that wasn't what which made Radhika stand like that. The room was filled with Photos Photos of their family, photos of Radhika's childhood with Mohan and Devki, and there was a big frame in which they had Radhika with Gayatri,Shankar and Ruby,Maan Ruby and Radhika are barely infants. Radhika had some photos of her mother before, but she never had any of photos with her holding Radh. So she was happy seeing the photo. then there was their college photo as usual. But there was their marriage photo hanging on a wall, and behind their bed was a large Photo of only Radhika and dev, with many small frames of different movements of them hanging around. In some Dev was hugging her and many more. Radhika smiled seeing all that. That when she felt Dev hugging her and asking her if she liked it. She just rested her head on his chest, giving him the assurance of how much she liked it. This was the bonding in them, they never need any words to communicate between them, they can always understand what other had to say by their simple gestures. That indeed help them in improving their love. Dev continued to head her towards the bed and Radhika wondered he was heading her to the bed, but he instead headed her to a comfy near by and sat there along with her, thats when he started to talk with her " I know u wanted me to wish u, but seeing u there much more happier than I ever happened to see u, I thought it will be better if I let u to feel ur moment. I have my whole life and many more years to stay with ur birthday. And I promise u Mrs.Radhika Dev Raj Purohith, I will make sure that next year no body will be even able to find us on ur B'day "
All the way Radhika sat there silently looking at her beloved husband fondly.She some times wonder to herself that how can all this happiness come to her at a time, and how much lucky she is. She just leaned forward to kiss Dev on his fore head surprising him and then hugged him saying "Thanks for being in my life Dev"
Dev who was hell lot surprised by this gesture of his indeed smart wife smiled stroking her hair soothing her with his gestures.
Finally after what it look like infinity Radhika broke her hug and went into her play ful mood "So whats ur Gift hubby"
Dev:Wifey, can u help me by stating ur age correctly
Radhika: u know it Dev, any way 24 years
Dev: hmmm chalo thik hain, I will manage it by giving u 24 kisses to u wifey!
Radhika made a sad baby face and said "Hubby, don't even think of getting away with it because in any case, u will be giving that every night in a more count" and saying that she winked him
Dev was taken a back with surprise, after their marriage they were indeed more comfortable with one other, that they no more have the word of shy when it was them both. he always can't help but grin at this more out spoken nature of the other wise shy girl whom he met 6 years back on a road accident. But he decided to make every thing a memory to her, there fore he finally lent down on his knees stretching his arms wide said " My dear lady ! here by me Dev Raj Purohith promise u with a astonished and non forgettable birthday to u. "
Radhika smiled but suppressing her grin she said "Make sure Mr.Purohith that before u give me any birthday u had to improve the quality of it next year"
Dev smiled and blinked his eyes and finally Radhika gave her hands to him. He took her to the garden from back steps and finally took over the cloth from the small group of plants lying there, Radhika surprised seeing those plants there. Dev grinned at her and said "I know u have some good ability in plants, here u go with the plants which u always use for heeling powers. made sure that u need not go to forest every time ."
Radhika smiled and Dev had a smirk on his face.. he further by took her hand and took her to the back of the house there was a small room which work more like a pool side room giving a perfect view of plants and the fountain on back side. He removed the cloth over a statue in the middle of room and for Radhika's surprise the statue was of Kanha which was very much like statue in forest.Dev smiled to Radhika and said "I know u love that statue a lot. tried to get a replica, but I am not sure It was" Radhika smiled to him and again he hold her hand to take her to the parking slot. Dev handled her the keys of a black Renault which she fancied a few days back, then he took her up and gave her a violin and details of a violin teacher. Then he gave her a beautiful musical greeting card, in which instead of music, his voice came wishing her Happy birthday. Then again he took her to the dining table to present her with an ice cream which he him self made.
Radhika stopped there and said "Hey how many gifts are u planning for me"
Dev winked with his smirk and again took her to the reading room to provide her with the rear editions of some of her favourite books, then again dragged her to the office room to give her the keys of a bank vault of their ancestors.
Radhika:Dev, don't tell me u are planning to give me 24 gifts
Dev:I am wifey
Radhika:What? no way man, please I can't run like that with u
Dev: Just chill and move one yaar come u will continue to get ur gifts the whole day though. Just two gifts are left more for now.
Radhika looked at him while he again took her to their bed room to present her with the most beautiful diamond necklace she had ever seen in her life, with sapphire in the middle. And then ended his gifts section by gifting her a beautiful blue saree.
Radhika finally sat in her comfy by exhaustion and then said " U need not do this much, "
Dev: I m never with u on ur birthday, this is the first one we are celebrating. I would love to have u a mountain of gifts, but I know u wouldn't like them, so decided to mend with giving u a gift for ur every b'day we missed till now"
Radhika smiled and then she gave him the details of her day at trust to him lying on bed changed into a night dress... this is how things work with them, though they were busy at night they end up in each other arms explaining how things went at their work place during the day.

As Radhika woke up she saw many gift bouquets surrounding her bed, and from between the bouquets there's Dev standing holding a red rose, who came to her giving the rose wishing her. Radhika smiled as it was her another fantasy of getting up in middle of flowers to be given a flower by her beloved come true.
Dev grinned and said "Hope u like my gift my lady"
Radhika smiled and said "Its lovely"
Dev smiled and she then realised that she actually got two gifts at a time one was to get her dream come true and the other was Dev wishing her gud mng first. Radhika's smile grew more.
Dev cupping her face said "Now go get ready and come, u has to give the aarthi"
Radhika nodded and left in.
She left in to get herself draped in a red saree... and went down to the pooja place. As she started the aarthi, every one started to come down and then there were Mrinaini,Vivek,Shalini,Birju,Vaishali,Dadima and Abhi standing there folding their hands. Dev came along the side of Radhika to complete the aarthi along with her,After completing her aarthi she stood there watching every one when she realised that her life changed completely in one and half year. One and half year back she was standing at the same place beaming happily when a phone call came , which changed her life forever. The sombre Radhika who never wanted to face her love that day, started to face him every day since then, and now she will be facing him life long. Radhika smiled to her self, and then went near the dining table. Thats when Mrinalini noticed that Radhika didn't wear any other jewellery , Mrinalini "Hey Radh, tum apna chain ko kabhi nahi chodti na."
Radhika clutched her chain and smiled saying " It held a lot of memories for me, and I can never leave it till the end of my life"
Dev frowned and immediately reprimanded her for talking about bad things and made her sit to eat. She protested but can't help and every other smiled as he fed her with his hands. Later they left to Purohith trust, when Dev asked her "Radhika! Teri locket nahi open karogi"
Radhika smiled and opened it to him thats when he saw it "It had a picture of both the sharma and purohith family on one side, while on other side it with held all the friends of Radhika along with Radev"
Dev:Lekin last time jab maine dekha tha is mein e photo nahi hain.
Radhika looked seriously at dev and said " Actually Before I used to have Maa-Baavuji and amma ki photo on one side and ur photo on other side. But later i thought to change it, Because all u people are important in my life and I can't imagine my life without any one of u.
Dev smiled hugging her from beside.

At Purohith trust, Radhika got another gift in form of the permission for girls college and as soon as she got the papers signed, Dev again took her alng with him , Radhika frowned when they were moving towards Barsana, as they reached the out skirts of Barsana, Dev took to a side road and stopped in front of a building. Dev took her in thats when she noticed that it was an orphanage and oldage home in name of Radhika's mom. Radhika looked happily at Dev and they spent some time there, after that Dev gave her another surprise by taking her on a boat through river to the other end of river and then he took her to a place which was filled with flower plants. Radhika again stunned by the marvellous view of the field. This there by completed the 16th gift of Radhika ,15th being the boat ride. The nature of the gifts made Radhika excited for further gifts..
Dev: So Mrs.Radhika Dev Raj Purohith, shall we move to the 17th gift.
Radhika nodded excitedly as a small kid and Dev smiled... He took her along with him to Rawal where a mela was going on her and when Rawal representatives wanted to help them as they were RP and Rptian, Dev declined and let Radhika enjoy the rides and all like a small girl .
After they enjoyed a lot, finally they left home and a tired Radhika then finally left into her room to get some rest before the party.

In the evening party, almost every friend of Purohiths or Sharma were present seating themselves in a fully arranged party place in the garden of Sharma Mansion, and Radhhika was talking with guests along with Asmitha on her side, Radhika was wearing the saree Dev gifted her the previous night along with the jewellery set. She was looking absolutely gorgeous and elegant at same time. Butall the way she was looking Dev from time to time who had his smirk on his face, which made Radhika sure that he was indeed planning some surprise to her. Thats when the lights went off and there was a screen where a video started to play. And for Radhhika's surprise its Radhika's mom, she was wearing a green colour chudidaar and was singing Birthday song. Her voice was really beautiful and there was a very kindness in her face. Radhika was lost into her when finally it ended when she shouted like a small girl "happy Birthday Radhu" Radhika looked at her father and he had tears in his eyes thats when she felt Dev's fingers entwining hers and silently thanked him, But he doesn't speak and as Video completed there was a shadow infront of the video and a person started to speak " Happy Birthday to the most beautiful girl, and also the most friendly kind sister of mine. " Radhika doesn't need to see the person to recognise the voice and she was grinning madly when the voice continued " Dude Dev! I pity u man, but still U had the most cute kid , I envy u for that, but take care of her Man" Dev smiled and Radhika shouted " Don't worry Rohan! I won't eat ur friend"
Finally the lights came on and Rohan came front when both Dev and Radhika happily hugged him. Radhika excitedly said "I am missing u a lot, Indeed I am really sad, that not to meet u on my Birthday. I thought u forgot it bro"
Rohan caressing her hair said "How can I forget the day when my Ruby was born"
Radhika felt a bit sad remembering Ruby, but immediately she recovered and making a baby face asked for her gift. Rohan smiled and then played another video... "It was Ruby as kid and adult celebrating her birthday, and she was cutting two cakes, Radhika didn't understand but later she understand that, though Ruby never met Radhika, she used to celebrate the birthday of Radhika too, and always she fed the first piece of her cake to the picture of baby Radhika." Radhika had tears in her eyes seeing her sister. She was different from Radhika in her style and attitude, but both shared one thing in common that is to love others. Radhika thanked Rohan for the video, and she already holded Maan's hand supporting him while Dev and Rohan took care of Shankar and Arshad took care of Asmitha, and Mrinalini cared for Geet who were a bit upset remembering Ruby after seeing the video.
Thats when they heard a guitar playing and Radhika jerked up and looked at Dev he was standing there, but indeed a smirk was on his face, Radhika tried to guess who it was, but to her shock she never imagined it to be that person, how can she when it was happened to be her beloved brother who knows nothing but business and meetings and work and ofcourse his wife Geet. Radhika tried to catch a look of Geet,and as she expected Geet had a surprised face, indeed with her protruding belly. Radhika smiled and the other shock was Maan offering his hand to geet for a dance. Radhika resisted her urge to whistle ... but indeed Varun who never had that restriction whistled out loud to get a glare from nikki..
Radhika looked happily as they continued to dance, she moved near a happy Shankar resting her head on his shoulder watching the couple dance happily. Shankar noticing his child said "Are u Happy Radhika"
Radhika looked at him and said "If ever there was a saying to get the most biggest happiness of this world. That suits me well at this present time Dad"
Shankar smiled caressing her daughters hair and said "I am so much happy for u Radhika, for every thing u are getting today"
Radhika looked at Shankar and he smiled saying that he and ofcourse entire family was helping Dev in accomplishing the gifts for her. Radhika smiled , but her smile faded when she saw the person whom she didn't wanna see..
Every one amongst Dev and Radhika's friends stopped their celebrations when they saw Vishaka approaching them along with her parents and Ammaji. Mrinalini immediately went to Radhika to hold her tightly... they no more want to get Radhika or Dev hurt... But for all of their surprise Vishaka came to Radhika and hugged her happily wishing her Birthday and then sadly apologised her for all her deeds. Radhika was feeling as if she was in a unknown world with this event.. And she was even more shocked when Ammaji kissed her wishing her Happy Birthday. Dev who came near her assured her when she looked at Dev for every thing Vishaka did to him , and Radhika understanding it was also done by Dev, smiled to him and happily shook her hand with that of Vishaka. Vishaka then went to Dev and apologised him, but he waved it off saying it was nothing.
Vaishali and Dadima observed when RP was looking fondly at Dev who was into celebrations and when they asked him about it he happily said " Maa, Today I am really proud of my children. I always worried my children will also fall apart in course of time as me and Susheel did. But no, they can never be like us, they had no differences, they were all one for them I am really happy for them Maa, Even if I die the next minute, I won't mind. "
Dadima closed his mouth from speaking and said "Raj, I am also very much happy as u did and I know the whole life u blames ur self for getting involved so much into work to get ur self separated not only from Susheel but also ur friends I am sure it won;t happen with your children. They will always be together . Thats what we an ask from them"
Raj nodded while keeping his arm around Vaishali shoulder as if getting himself support from the two people whom he love most.

Radhika was watching as every one there were speaking and playing as a children sitting around in line. It was a gift from Dev, she always missed her colllege days where every one used to sit like this and play. She wondered to her self how time moved and she always feared that they will all be separated in course of time, But she was glad, not only her but every one kept checking them selves not to do that. Finally as every one rested to their rooms around 11, Radhika looked at Dev thanking him from every thign, but he didnt give up on his last Two gifts and then he took her to out and next minute what she noticed was they were going to the lake side house which Dev gifted her. Radhika always loved that house, and she like to go there when ever time permits, even she managed to have her set of books and plants there, set to enjoy them selves. As she reached there she frowned as she noticed that not only them selves but there was also another two people present there, locating the pair of chappals present out side. Radhika looked at Dev as he took her inside and then she noticed the whole house was set into a beautiful decoration suiting an aura of romance every where. She then noticed the other two present there was Vishaka and Rohan to her surprise. Rohan came to Radhika a bit nervous, she doesn't understand why, thats when she noticed the same nervous ness in Vishaka's eyes too. Rohan approached them and then he started to speak to them"Radhika! I need to tell a thing"
Radhika can see Dev trying to stop his giggles...
Rohan:Its.. er... Its..
Radhika:Bro, U know I will listen what ever u say, please shoot it at me.
Rohan hold Vishaka hand and said "Radhika! I want to mary Vishaka"
Dev burst into laugh and Radhika looked at him in confusion... Dev came there and said "From last 2 years Vishaka was trying to get a acceptance from Rohan, and tonight, finally he dared to think of it and accept it, but he was asking ur permission"
Radhika: last 2 years?? Vishaka, how can u know Rohan for last 2 years.
Vishaka: I know Rohan when I used to stay in U.S before coming here, He used to come to a park near to my house. He was a sort of acquaintance for me, but later I used to like him. I then understood I love him, but when I said to him, he out right said No to me. I thought I will get angry on him in the way I did with Dev, but nope, I am able to think past beyond my self and get convinced to it. It indeed a surprise to me pertaining to my nature. Then i understood True love don't need acceptance. I loved him from that day to till today. But I left for time , and later I came to know of his love with Ruby and then my love grew even more. few days back, I once again asked him... I was bit frightened because he was indeed a senior to me in company and he had every rights to expel me, but for my surprise he tries to even think of it, and yesterday he finally accepted it ,but we have our terms regarding it. But he said he will need ur permission before doing any thing
Radhika looked at Rohan and said "U indeed embarrass me bro, How can u even think of taking my permission. U know I will be most happier if u do this. "
Rohan and Vishaka were relieved at this, and finally Dev hugged Rohan and Vishaka congratulating them.
Radhika though how ever can't with hold herself from asking her a thing "Vishaka! If u love Rohan from 2 years, then why did u do all that when u returned home during our time in college"
Vishaka: Actally years of my staying in US got me over every bit of my jealous over u, and I thought people here changed as well including ammaji, but no, they didn't even flinch a bit and thats when I saw Dev along with his friends here, then I saw that love he had for u in his eyes. But the thing that shocked me more was when I came to learn about the bullying my dad was performing in PS and also, how he was planning to get a ownership over company, and Ammaji on other side trying to tie me with Dev. I then understood that no matter what happens the faith Purohiths and u have on our family should be broken, even it takes cost of me getting to my older form. Thats why I behaved all that way. Some times I did it a bit more, but i don't have any option more to make my grand mother to believe. When we got separated, it took me a life time to make Ammaji understand, but she never understand until after ur marriage on Janmashtami, when she came ot know u are Shankar uncles daughter. I am sorry for every thing Radhika"
Radhika hugged her asking her not apologise but to be sure to on good terms with them. And as all of this sorted, they headed to their room as Rohan and Vishaka decided to leave to Delhi, deciding to get the breaking new out next day.

Radhika was very happy and she was all the way talking every thing right from morning, and she was sitting on bed folding her legs up and Dev who was sitting beside her was looking at her. He smiled and took her lips into his when she recognise what was happening. When she started to respond it lead into a beautiful and passionate kiss, leading to a beautiful night.
