PART 49 - Dev's Marriage preparations
Radhika .Dev along with Arnav ,Kushi and Rohan reached Vrindavan... Though Kushi wasn't happy with idea of Arnav coming with them Radhika managed her and Arnav too came with them. All the way Dev was serious and didn't spoke a word with Radhika, and Radhika too remained silent crying inside her heart.
As Radhika reached the house, she felt the similar tinge of happiness and excitement she always feel, but at the same time when all the memories of her with Dev flashed over... she can't help but feel upset
As she reached the main door of sharma Mansion, she remembered how when she dashed Dev as he returned from US and flowers fallen over them, and how the Mangalsutra came into her neck, on the other day...
Radhika was looking there standing when Dev came from behind and whispered to her... "Kuch yaad aa raha hain kya"
Radhika came out from trance and gave a look to Dev and took her bag from him. She looked Maan standing at the door along with Geet waiting for her, and rushed to him "Bro..." She needed s some comfort, she was smiling out, but still she want someone who can give her the comfort she need and, when she saw Maan, she hugged him tightly to get the comfort
Maan too understand what she want, and he was feeling angry from inside for what happened to his sister... but he can't help, Geet was all the way worrying that Maan may burst at very moment, so was not leaving him. And she was not leaving him at all..
Maan whispered to Radhika:Why did u come here chudki?
Radhika released the hug and looked at Maan and said "Ye kya baat kar rahe ho aap, mere best friend ka shadi mein, main kaise nahi aa sakti"
Maan was about to continue further when geet stopped him... Radhika hugged Geet and Geet asked her to go in and fresh and nodding Radhika left in. As she left in she saw Dadima standing there waiting for her... Radhika went to her... and took her blessings..
Dadima: Kaise ho meri radha rani
Radhika: Finally aap ne mujhe Radha hi bana tha na
Dadima : Radhika
Radhika smiled off "Just joking... Wondering why u spoke of my marriage with Dev, when he was already married to someone"
Dadima: I am really sorry Radhika... I too didn't know this
Radhika:Chill dadima... I am joking... Anyway I am really happy that my best friend getting married.
Mrinalini and Vivek were watching it from top stairs...
Mrinalini: Mere behen happy nahi hain
Vivek:I know, Radhika will over talk when she was crying from inside.
Mrinalini: Why this is happening , what wrong did they do
Vivek: Its all destiny ..
Mrinalini: But truly... I can never forgive Kanha for all this that was happening.
Vivek: Hmmm...
Mrinalini and Vivek came out from their convo, as Radhika came up rushing calling Mrinu... She hugged Mrinalini and Mrinalini too returned the hug.. and said " Why did u go leaving me?"
Radhika: I can never be with u forever na./..
Mrinalini: Why not, u will be with me forever
Radhika:How, pehle jethani bankar tere saath rehne ka plan kiya... lekin dekho kanha ne poora plans fail karke ye bola ki, tum Radhika ho, Rukmini kabhi nahi ban sakte stupid...
Mrinalini started to cry, when Radhika hugged her saying "Chill sis, what's happening... Okay don't worry I won't leave u till i die"
Mrinalini: How come u be this normal
Radhika:Dosti ka waada jo kiya han, vusko nibhana hi padega... Anyway I will go fresh and come... hey by the way, Kushi is there in down stairs, please take care of her okay
Mrinalini nodded and Radhika left into her room...
Radhika throwed her bag onto the ground and started to cry falling on to bed... she was crying from her inside, but she can't let them out, atleast until dev's marriage will be completed... She heard the knock of the door and rubbing off her tears went and opened the door to find their friends batch standing there...
Radhika happily hugged them and Nikitha started to cry... "I will go and tell everything to uncle.. whats happening was not right"
Radhika;Nikki, tum kisi ko bhi kuch bhi nahi batayenge.. its a word which I am serious about
Varun:How can we let this happen to u and dev yaar;
Radhika:Varun, its me who entered as a third wheel... there's noting wrong with them
Eswar:But we can't see u suffering like this Radhika
Radhika:hey buddies, I am fine and happy... see how much smiling I was
Ria came to Radhika and said "Chup... u did a lot of over action... now stop this... I know u are crying from inside.. let it out... "
Radhika: Ria, u are talking nonsense...
Ria:I am talking non sense right.. well then wat about this.. she dragged her to the bed, showing the wet pillow...
Radhika remained silent..
Ria;Friends... humari mahaan Radhika, apne andar ro rahi hain, lekin bahar toh bahut has rahi hain... kyun ki, vo apni Dev ko, ye dikhna hain ki vo iss shadi se bilkul unaffected hain and indeed happy hain... And yesterday night she mailed me all this
Aanchal:Radhika why are u doing this to ur self
Radhika:Aanchal... I never expected myself to get a choice between my love and my family... and today I faced the situation and i chose my family
Arshad:Th, apni pyaar ka kya Radhika...
Radhika:Bhai, u know what... Radhika always loved dev and will always continue to love him... for that she need not be near him... but Family needs him ...
Asmi came there "Acha chalo chalo... we need to go down, Haldi ka rasam shuru ho raha hain.. chalo... Radhika get ready and come down"
Arshad :Asmi... how can u be this fine...
Asmi:If u people can u too try to be fine... other wise leave me... my friend needs me like this only... Radhika, u still here, go get ready and come..
Radhika nodded and left in...

Radhika came down wearing an yello colour anarkali...
She saw girls applying haldi on Dev and was coming down the steps... when she felt something cool falling on her... She looked beside to see RP looking at her shocked... She touched her face with her hand then looked at her hand to find it full in yellow colour... She herself felt shocked... she can hear someone yelling from downstairs "Arey vadhu ki ghar jaane waali Haldi Radhika pe gir gayi"
Radhika who was too much shocked, was looking at Dev, who had a smile on his face...
Shankar was worried to see Radhika standing still like a statue on the steps there... he mentioned geet to look for her, and Geet along with Mrinalini rushed up to Radhika and try to get her out from trance... But instead they can see Radhika fainting..
Dev stood up from where he sat as he saw Radhika fainting and rushed to her despite of the warning from Vaishali that he should not get up before the completion of ceremony . He got hold of her before she fall down, and the haldi which was on his hands got to her body, but he didn't mind anything of that and took her to upstairs to her room and made her rest there...
Geet whispered to mrinalini "Dekho bhabhi, Dev kitna pyaar karte hain Radhika se"
Mrinalini:Haan, lekin destiny... chodo all this
Sharada came and asked RP "Ye kya hua, why did u let the haldi Plate go off"
RP:Maa, wo suddenly kuch time ke liye sar gira tha... isliye aise hua... I am sorry maa
Sharada: Acha main doosri plate main haldi lagakar de dungi, jaakar ladki waalon ko de de...
RP:par maa, Haldi toh Dev ko lagne wali haldi hona chahiye na... wo wali toh...
Sharada;kYa humaarein paas aur koi option hain...
RP nodded his head in no, and Sharada left to get haldi paste in another plate...
Vaishali:Acha sab log jaakar Aaram kariye, main rahungi Radhika ke paas... kal mehendi ka rasam hain na...
Kushi who was standing there blurted out ... "Lekin, mehendi ka rasam toh ladki ke ghar mein hona chahiye na"
Geet:Kushi, ye toh Raj uncle ko order hain ki, yahaan hum bhi mehendi ka rasam mana le...
Kushi: Okay...
Dev who was worried for Radhika said "papa... kya main doctor ko call karo"
Vivek:Iski koi jaroorat nahi hain dev, ye toh bahut tak gayi na, isliye aisa hua... vusse aaram karne do.. aur tum jaakar so jaao, shadi tumhara hain
Dev gave a glare to Vivek, and Vivek ignoring it, took Dev to Purohith Bhavan...
Dev looked armesh and co sitting there and asked them "Hey why didn't u come there"
Armesh: Bro.. we can't see u suffering like this... so we decided not to involve in this drama
Dev: Friends... please relax
Pia: Dev... how come we relax, when u are suffering like this..
Dev:Do I have any option pia, Radhika took promise from me
Rickie:Dude, Ria told me everything, Radhika was equally crying there...
Dev: I know... but she want it, and I can't help but do what she want
Soniya:Radhika, ye sab kuch nahi sehen ayegi Dev
Dev:main sirf vus pal ka intezaar kar raha hoon, jab vo ye sab sehen nahi payegi. Kya n do dinom mein, aisa ek pal nahi aayega
Manoj:It will for sure. don't worry

Radhika woke up to see Mrinalini sitting beside her... Mrinalini who was half sleep woke up with a jerk as Radhika tried to get up
Mrinalini:Radhika are u fine...
Radhika nodding weekly, checked her self to find herself changing into a new dress "Di"
Mrinalini:Acha, me and geet changed ur dress as it was spoiled with haldi, any way here are ur bearings... Mrinalini with a cold stare handed over her mangalsutra and other things.
Radhika understood that Mrinalini came to know everything
Mrinalini:Now I won't even wait for a minute.. Everyone needs to know of it
Radhika:Nahi di... papa can't bare it
Mrinalini:U are thinking for a Papa, what about ur self Radhika
Radhika:I will be fine di
Mrinalini:geet said me everything happened... I can't let this wrong happen Radhika
Radhika:This is only right for family sake
Mrinalini;but for me u are more important
Radhika:Di, u are the bahu of Purohith family, u have more responsibilities to that family, than to me
Mrinalini:But u are my sister
Radhika": Hain na, I am ur sister na... then I want Dev to marry his wife... so now leave it all;
Mrinalini:Radhu...
Radhika turning off light:Gud nyt sis, any way thanks for keeping them safely
Radhika lied on bed as if sleeping, and mrinalni unable to say anything left out

Next day morning...
aS Radhika woke up she saw RP standing there with a smile...
Radhika: Gud mng papa
RP gud mng Radhu, how are u
Radhika nodded her head saying she was fine...
RP:Acha... I am sorry for wat ever happened yesterday
Radhika:Its okay papa
RP:Ye lo...
Radhika looked at packet and asked "what is this"
RP:A small gift, aaj mehendi function ke liye tum yahi pehnoge...
Radhika opened it and she looked at the beautiful pink colour ghagra... it was having heavy work, Radhika looked at RP and said "But its too heavy:"
RP:For my sake wear it na
Radhika smiled and nodded her head in yes and RP continued "There's another packet in it"
Radhika opened it to see a diamond necklace... "Papa ye sab"
RP:Pehno na beti... Shankar was really thinking that we brought u up as a miser who wears low cost ones... atleast to tell him, how gud u can look wear them na
Radhika;acha think hain ...
RO:Jaldi tayar ho kar aa jaao asam huru hone wala hi hain...
Radhika nodded and left...

In down stairs Dev was wearing a black colour suit... and as it wa mehendi combined with sangeet different people were coming and dancing... Dev was waiting to see his Radhika... He knows that its was the last day, when he can claim his love for radhika, and after the day, he won't have any rights on her. He was waiting for her, when he felt her presence. He turned back and saw her coming down the stairs. She was wearing a Pink colour lehenga, with pallu pinning around like a saree... her hair left loose , and her neck adorned with a beautiful diamond necklace... She was just looking beautiful like an angel... Dev continued to look at her as she came down the hall, and he can feel many eyes on her.
Radhika can feel Dev admiring her, at other times she would have enjoyed, but today she was feeling bad...
Radhika went near to geet, Geet was wearing a blue colour saree and was looking beautiful... geet looked at Radhika and kept a Kalatikka behind her ear. Radhika smiled and sat beside Geet...
Just then Radhika got a message and it was from Dev, she looked around and found Dev sitting straight infront of her, He wasn't looking at her, indeed he was enjoying the dance going on there... Rahika looked at the message
"U are just beautiful... I just wish to talk to u a minute, can u come a side please"
Radhika thought for a while and thinking what's wrong in talking she left upstairs... seeing dev go up
She was searching for him in upstairs when a hand came out from a room and grabbed her in... Radhika knows who it was, she didn't bother to shout... She felt his hands holding her by waist, and can feel his breath on her neck she asked him "dev what are u doing"
Dev: Radhika this is my last day ... I wish to be happy... I want to show u my full love, for today will u please be my lover...
It took everything for Radhika to say "Yes"
Dev placed a kiss on her neck , and Radhika can feel her heart beat raising, she just whispered "Dev, please don't do anything that will make us regret."
Dev: I won't promise, just wish to hug u for some time...
Radhika knows why Dev needs her hug, its her hug which gives him the comfort he need... And Dev needs a lot of comfort right now, so she hugged him, and he rested his head on her shoulder ...
Radhika's cell rang interrupting the moment.. Radhika took it and it was Geet who was asking her to come down. Radhika smiled to Dev and left down...
As Radhika came down, Geet dragged her to the place where people are keeping mehendi, and insisted Radhika to have mehendi...The woman who was keeping mehendi asked Radhika the name which should be kept on hand, but Radhika said "Nothing"
The woman gave Radhika a look, and started to keep mehendi on her hand... Radhika who was lost in her thoughts, didn't notice how much time did it took, but as mehendui completed when she looked at her hands, she was shocked... it was exactly like a bridal mehendi, and for the utterest confusion, the name of Dev was written in cursive writing...
Shalini who came there just then looked at a confused Radhika and asked her what happened... Radhika said every thing to shalini and shalini asked them with anger
Shalini:ye kya hua.. Radhika ke haath par Dev ka naam kisne likha
Mehendi wali:lekin madam, humse yahi kaha gaya ki, iske haath par Dev ke naam likho
Radhika:Kisne kaha aap se..
Mehendi wali woman: Madam mujhe pata nahi..
Radhika looked at her hand and decided to remove the mehendi, but Geet stopped her "No Radhika, tum aisa nah kar sakhthey ho"
Radhika:Kyun
Geet whishpered in Radhika's ear "Pati ka naam haath se nikhal diya toh, pati ko hi problem hoga"
Radhika helpless looked at her hand and asked Geet and Shalini not to say this to any one... they nodded and they said the mehendi wali also not to tell anything to any one... She too agreed out of fear of getting dismissed.. and Radhika sat there silently looking at her hands
"Kyun kanha, jab vuski shadi kisi aur se ho chuka hain, ye sab mujhko aisa kyun ho raha hain kanha... ye kya khel khel rahe ho aap mere zindagi se"
Dev looked at Radhika who was sitting there upset and decided to do something... He just wanted to see smile on her face... He took the mike and said "To my dear friend"
Radhika looked up... Dev started to dance on the floor for dhoom song, and seeing Dev dance, Radhika started to smile... Dev too continued the song , and then he motioned the spotlight to fall on Radhika as he completed. As spot light fall on Radhika, she wondered what she should do, and then started a song... from Jab we met...
Radhika danced for the song, and while dancing she twirled around to reach near Dev... as she looked at Dev she stopped dancing, and went up...

Dev went on to the terrace to see Radhika standing there staring at the mountains ...
Dev:Radhika
Radhika turned back ...
Dev:Why are u upset all of a sudden
Radhika:Arey , i looks upset for u... I am really happy for u... I heard from papa, that the girl was very traditional... u are really lucky...
Dev now understood that it was getting over everything...
Dev:radhika
Radhika:hmmm
Dev:I need to speak to u
Radhika:Bolo
Dev:Mujhse dosti karoge
Radhika looked at his hand...
Dev:Humarein beech mein jo kuch bhi hua hain, vo sab dosti se hi shuru hua hain... aur tum humesha mera dost raha... kya mere shadi ke baad bhi tum meri dost hi rahoge
Radhika with tears in her eyes nodded in yes... "I am always ur friend Dev"
Dev:Toh phir america kab vaapas jaa rahi ho
Radhika:Kuch dna, ghar waalon se samay bitakar, waapas jaavungi
Dev:Kab waapas aaoge
Radhika:I don't know
Dev:Matlab tera shadi bhi America mein hi karoge
Radhika:Shayad... but I will call u for sure...
dev: Main nahi aavunga
Radhika; I won't force u Dev...
dev:I know...
Radhika:Shadi kab
Dev:kal morning...
Radhika;Aaj raat main mandir jaane wali hoon,
Dev:Lekin Papa ne ye ol rahe ki, kal shaadi ke samay tak, koi ghar se baahar nahi jaayega
Radhika:papa ko kya hua... ye sab kuch ajeeb sa rules rakh raha hain
Dev:Pata nahi..
Radhika:Dev... mujhe neeche jaana hain, shayad sab log mera intezaar kar rahe honge..
Dev:Hmm... Radhika..
Radhika:haan
Dev:U are really beautiful in this dress...
Radhika:by the way Vishaka didi nahi aayi kya
Dev:Wo log kal shadi par aayenge... Vishaka ko kuch kaam tha, vo delhi mein hi ruk gayi
Radhika;Aur abhi...
Dev:Abhi toh school vacation par gaya, kal mornign tak waapas aayega
Radhika:Hmmm... Acha main chalti hoon
Dev nodded and Radhika left down...

At night...
Radhika was looking at her mehendi and she was just looking at the word Dev written on her hand... She can feel many emotions running through her mind... but she dosn't want them to disclose atleast till the marriage completed... she felt a knock on door and then looked at Shankar who was coming in
Radhika:Baavuji, why did u knock the door
Shankar:U didn't sleep yet
Radhika:Not getting sleep
Shankar: Radhika, I want to know a thing from u
Radhika:haan papa
Shankar: Did u ever loved Dev
Radhika:baavuji
Shankar:Bolo na... I always saw it in ur eyes, but wanted to knwo ti from u
Radhika:Kuch faayida nahi hain na... ab hum kuch nahi kar sakte
Shankar:Radhika, mujhe maan ne sab kuch bataya
Radhika: Kya bataya bhaiyya ne
Shankar:Yahi ki, aap donom ne ek doosre se bahut pyaar kiya
Radhika sighed relief thinking that maan didn't said about their marriage
Shankar:Radhika, kya tum sach men Dev se pyar karte ho
Radhika:haan baavuji
Shankar:Toh kya...
Radhika:lekin baavuji, ab hu kuch nahi kar sakte hain, aur hum donom ne kushi kushi ye maan liya ki, hum wahi karenge, jo parivaar ki kushi hogi...
Shankar:Lekin parivaar ki kushi, aapka hi kushi mein hogi
Radhika: Please baavuji, now Dev was convinced, don't take this matter again...
Shankar: Hmm... but I can' t see u crying
Radhika: No baavuji, I am fine
Shankar: Okay... any way tomorrow mng, u will wear the dress which i will send u, and u won't question. because tomorow i am going to announce u as my daughter, and I want u to come as my daughter.
Radhika nodded her head in yes... and Shankar left

Radhika woke up to find a packet on the side table... she looked at her phone to find a message from mrinalini saying that the muharat was at 9:00 am, and so get ready soon. she looked at her watch and it was 5;00 am. 4 more hours... Radhika sighed to herself... and then opened the packet..
The packet has a red colour saree... whihc was fully rich... Radhika was shcoked to see it, she thought to her self "ye papa ko kya hua... mujhe aisa saree bheja tha, jaise main hi hone wali bahu ho" she found a letter with it,..
"Radhika...
I know u might be wondering why I sent u this saree...
but Its ur mums saree which I want u to wear...
because today u will meet the person, whom I want u to marry"
Radhika sighed to herself "So, now that baavuji came to know that i love ev, he want me to get married to someone... But I will definitely say a big no to him... any way saree was nice, whats wrong in wearing it... maa ki saree hain"
Thinking like that to her self, Radhika took the saree and left in to get ready...
As she came out she saw Mrinalini fully decorated sitting in her room... Mrinalini saw Radhika and said "hey, I am wondering which type of clothes u will wear. any way ur saree was gorgeous." Radhika smiled and Mrinalini continued... "Everyone was getting ready nicely... Papa, aur chacha ji donom milkar, ere liye ye jewellery bheja hain"
Radhika looked at the boxes and said "Bhabhi, ye log ko kya ho gaya. ye log mujhe aise ready kar rahe hain , jaise main hi bride hoon'
Mrinalini's face turned sad "It should be u indeed... whats wrong, u are my sister... u need to deck up, afterall Mrinalini Purohith aur Maan sharma ki behen jo hain... And don't forget ur position in the company. so please get ready soon..."
Radhika sighed and looked at jewellery as Mrinalini left out...
Geet came into Radhikas room after a while... She saw a completely readied Radhika... she was wearing a red colour saree... in the front pallu style... and her hair was made into a nice plait... adoring her neck was a gud necklace studded with rubies and diamonds... and a long necklace ... jhumki's were hanging over her ears and there was a waist chain too... Geet never saw Radhika this much decorated,. Geet smiled and said "Radhika, u are just beautiful... i won't wonder if any one think that u are bride..."
Radhika smiled and said "Bhabhi, I doesn't want to get ready at all, but baavuji ne bheja hain"
Geet:Hmm... any way kisi ki nazar naa lage tujhko... saying that she kept a kalatikka behind her ear...
Radhika looked at watch and found it was 8:00 am... "bhabhi, chalo na"
Geet looked at Radhika, and it was clearly evident that she was pretending to be happy... geet remembered Radhika's mehendi and asked her to show her hands... When Radhika showed her hands, it was bright red in colour... geet said to Radhika "U are lucky Radhika, ur husband will love u a lot"
Radhika gave a sigh, which made Geet stop and they both left down ...
As Radhika came down, she saw that every one left already, except her ,geet and maan
Radhika:Bhaiyya... sab log chale gaye
Maan:Yes, U people leave now
Radhika:Bhai aap nahi aaoge
Maan:Radhika, I can't come I can't see u crying
Radhika:bhaiyya... please aao na. mere liye
Maan looked at Radhika, and then said "Tum bilkul pari jaisi lag rahi ho"
Radhika smiled and said "Acha... please aao na"
Maan:Nahi radhu
Radhika:Acha, main yaa bhabhi nahi drive karsaktey hain, in case we are wearing the sarees.. so please, atleast to take us there aao na
Maan:Tum itni jovial kab ban gayi ho
Radhika shrugged her shoulders and finally Maan accepted and left along with them
