Roopkumar said, "When I was offered the song, I was expecting something religious and serene. But surprisingly, this song was full of energy - because Buddha was a warrior before he became a sage. It is not something which is heard easily on the small screen. Words have been chosen delicately and the use of orchestra and chorus lends a special feel to it." The song has been written by Manoj Muntashir and composed by Meet Brothers.
Roopkumar has recently sung 'Khicham tani' for Ram Leela. The song, composed by director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, will be featured on Ranveer Singh. He has also lent his voice for a number, 'Zubaan jale', for 'Dedh Ishqiya'. Written by Gulzar, the song has been composed by Vishal-Shekhar.
