Deepika to get Rs.3 crore for a two-day shoot?

There seems to be no stopping Deepika Padukone these days. Like her last film Chennai Express opposite Shah Rukh Khan, the leading actress of Bollywood has no plans to slow down.

According to a leading daily, Deepika beat other actresses like Asin, Vidya Balan, Katrina Kaif and South actress Anushka Shetty, and secured a role opposite South superstar Rajnikanth in the upcoming 'Kochadaiyaan'.

Not onyl that, she started a new trend of sorts after it was agreed that she'll be paid a whopping Rs.3 crore for a two-day shoot. Deepika, reportedly, is the only actress to have managed to do so.

But do not be fooled by Deepika's two-day shooting schedule. She still plays a central character and not a cameo. The relief in Deepika's schedule is due to Motion Captured Photorealistic Technology, according to reports.

Guess we'll know that once the movie comes out. For now, we're happy for the charming actress who's all smiles these days, and might we add, a lot richer. Ka-ching!

She shot for only two days??? So they probably just took her facial expressions and then the rest will be animated?

DP mentioned that she shot for 3 days and 3 crores sounds too much! But the budget of the movie is more than 100 crores so its possible too.

Deepika Padukone shoots for just 2 days for Kochadaiiyaan; paid 3 cr?

Being roped in opposite South superstar Rajnikanth is no mean feat and Deepika Padukone managed to emerge on top last year after a tough battle with her peers that included Asin, Vidya Balan, Katrina Kaif and South actress Anushka Shetty. Insiders from the Kochadaiiyaan sets say Dippy was paid a staggering amount of Rs 3 crore for a two- day shoot schedule, setting a new benchmark in Bollywood.

Though the actress has a full-fledged role in the film, thanks to some new technology ( Motion Captured Photorealistic Technology) she was required for only a couple of days.

Says a source, "Director Soundarya Rajnikanth Ashwin shot the scenes with Dippy in record two days. The technology enables each expression and motion to be recreated on screen after capturing every gesture of the actor." Dippy apparently had to wear a specially designed body suit and filmed her scenes sans makeup.

Says Soundarya, "Initially Deepika was a bit apprehensive about how the technology would work. But she soon gave her complete commitment to the project. We completed her portions in 48 hours." Deepika and the official spokesperson of the production house remained unavailable for comment.
