Implication:
Today's lyrics shed light upon both Jai and Bani's rather empty states. Firstly, we are given the impression that Jai is very much bound to Bani. In the light of day, in the darkness of the night, her presence continuously haunts him. He desires to extend his reach towards her, take her in his embrace, but destiny allows him only a mere sigh. Jai reflects on the dream that he had cherished in which only the colours of life surround him and his beloved. But when his eyes open, the reverie is broken and he stands yet alone again… Perhaps he is unable to explain himself, but the one thing he is sure of is that come whatever, he will do anything for Bani's sake. Be it the death that he is currently experiencing, or whatever her love requires of him. Despite her faade of indifference and unwillingness to directly address him, he feels her presence ever so, and this is what allows him carry on. Bani on the other hand, is in a dilemma. She can sense the incompleteness of her life without him, yet her morals and self-respect get in the way of her giving in completely to her destiny… Jai. Somewhere, she has this notion, this idea that perhaps there exists a potential moment, in which she will be unable to control herself.
Within a crowd, these two souls carry the burden of loneliness, while the world looks on completely oblivious to their test of fate.
