Lajjo's Lukewarm Reaction

From lajjo's point of view I guess she realises how much can she say, like she said, 'if the person that got her into this house didn't want her in this house' what is the point! I would have been like plz take me home I don't want to be trashed any longer. However when they gave her the gift she should have said, no thank you, I'm good!

If I were in her place I would've returned the gift chupke se like left on their bed and then say nikhil to leave me on my own andcontine studies cuz main wraps nahi Jana chahti etc

Res - will comment after I see the epi tonight but from what you've written not so happy with her reaction/acceptance to the situation...

Enjoyed today's episode even though it was very sad😭. In a lot of ways I am glad she took the high ground and didn't bother saying anything BUT only if she didn't take/accept the gifts. If she did that then she might as well have just opened her mouth and said something. This reaction would have been icing on the cake if she leaves all the gifts there for all to see!

Are we so sure she took the gifts?

I think her reaction was actually stronger. We all expected her to fight for her rights but to be honest, what right? Yes she is married but no one not even her husband actually acknowledges her as the daughter-in-law of the house. So how can she stay? I think maybe when she told nikkil the night before that one should always tell the truth no matter how difficult the situation is, is the reason why she behaved this way today. The truth is she is not wanted at nikkil's home. Better to face that fact and return home than to tell million more lies!

Better she leaves when Nikhil himself has no time to at least talk to her...Well she took time to make this decision that also when she heard that Nikhil decided to leave her back to Sonbarsa.The gifts definitely she must not have taken if taken also she knows how to return it back.

Anju, your right and I totally agree that it was the best way for her to make her departure from their house. What is truly the point in discussing it with anyone? This way she gets to leave with her head held high (unfortunately for her though that won't work in the village😭). I actually also don't mind that she said nothing regarding the gifts. The best thing to really make her point would be just leaving all the gifts behind untouched. This would even be better and way more dignified I think in some ways than refusing them at the time they were given to her. Very sad epi today. Loved Gunjal though. She is such a sweety!

I think she was very mature in leaving quietly and without saying one word to anyone that would leave her in a negative light. However, the gift thing did not sit well with me! I did not like was a) that she did not say anything when the gifts were given to her and b) that there was ambiguity on whether she accepted them or not. They could have atleast shown that she did not pack them and left them on a table! Because from my POV it looks like she accepted them (unless they clarify that once she gets home) and that is ridiculous since the gifts were essentially given to buy her/her family off and show them their place! Ugh!

Agreed! I really hope she didn't take the gifts, otherwise they will always think they can buy her off, will probably bring it up umpteen times in the future. This way they won't be able to "lord" it over her.
