Ruq-Hoshiyaar-Dibbiman
They showed the dibbi-man's flashbacks of when the veiled lady came to buy the prodigal 'dibbi'! Pretty ghostly the entire aura was...typically, the setting seemed like a cemetery!😆
All we know so far was that the culprit was a veiled young-middle aged lady! (Hmmm the silhouette was too petite to look like MA though)🤔
Anyway, Ruqaiyya and Hoshiyaar's discussions (with respect to the dibbi and the lady) were the first 'sensible' set of discussions with respect to the mystery after the wise points Hameeda Banu presented a week ago at court!😃
Jalal in his battle-station tent @ night
Jalal is inspecting his knife in his battle-station tent, when two ministers come to visit him. What a pleasant surprise it was to witness Jalal using his brain and plotting war-strategies against Sujanpur. His grim 'official' expressions and his thoughts were a completely different profile to what we were used to witnessing while he was at his harem!
His wise ministers had very valid points about the emperor's decisions lately - why did Jalal have to bring the Ameris along?
Hmmm...anyway, though Jalal was not happy about the questions raised, his minister speaks up 'We are at danger from OUR OWN forces rather than from our enemies..the very brothers who dauntlessly murdered your child within palace grounds would have NO issue whatsoever carrying out something similar in open battle grounds!' (If only, they knew about the Ameri family integrity😛!)
Why, Jalal's men even wonder if the Ameris could use this opportunity to assassinate Jalal himself. Obviously, Jalal's antennae stand up and he responds by increasing security!
At dawn...
Reminds me of the PRC days these scenes...Jalal sleeping in his tent...shadows crawling around...all hell raises etc etc
The Sujanpuris had apparently attacked at night (which Jalal had guessed could happen anyway). Soon enough, his tent had become a target practice for archers of all sorts!
While ministers are busy wondering if Jalal had been sold out by Ameris, Jalal is busy worrying about more practical problems - the impending war!
The war
Now to the war itself - Hmmm the Mughal Sultanat's army didn't seem very ermmm Mughal Sultanat-like🤔! Secretively no doubt, yet the Sujanpuris had managed to raze the king's bodyguards to the ground in a matter of moments!😕
Jalal was surrounded in no time!
Obviously, here comes our Indian-sentiment to play...Jalal and his ministers didn't expect it but who else would come to his help other than the 4 Ameris! JAI BHAVANI!
This particular scene alone- though poorly executed in terms of production values (according to modern day standards), was very well thought of in terms of the drama quotient. While Jalal was surrounded by enemy forces, the 4 brothers took up charge and shielded Jalal within their midst. While the sun was shining down upon the brothers, it seemed like Jalal's face appeared clouded with 'puzzlement'
Eventually, BD even took an arrow for him- which Jalal couldn't believe! Obviously, on Jalal questioning him about why he did so, we get the usual Rajput-pride waala dialogues!
Overall, the war scenes were a let-down in my opinion. When Jalal managed to get into his armour and fought for a few minutes I was waiting for the army to step forth (Rajput or Mughal)😕 but they never did. It was just 20 men in ill-fitting frocks battling it out. The entire setting seemed more like random riots than a war - why were people stepping in one by one to get killed rather than as massive regiments/groups?
I understand, the Mughal minister did mention that their forces were not yet ready (since it was barely daybreak) - yes, they did mention that the war was only a secret-attack/revolt...yet, many things were shoddy! For a 5 minute battle sequence, Jalal quickly spends 30 seconds getting ready...obviously, he needed it seeing how he was the only one fighting on behalf of the Mughals...😆Besides, why did they spend an entire 1 minute in a 5 minute battle scene on who-gives-whom water...yes yes, I get the significance...but still!
We've been conditioned to witness beautifully shot battle scenes in Ramayan and MB taken nearly 15 years ago without any of the technology that modern day had to offer! Therefore, in future; if the CVs don't have the resources- please stick to showing collage scenes of wars than this...😆
The return...
Needless to say, Jalal is in a dilemma now - should he punish the family for the crimes they committed (so, he still doesn't doubt their involvement - you stubborn lad!)or reward them for their devotion to him during the war
At Agra
MA's dialogues are always power-packed😛.
When AK is pissed about MA's happiness over Jalal's victory, she answers 'He is the emperor...even if he sneezes, it makes news!' LOL
PRECAP -Jalal-Jodha confrontation (did I catch a shirtless Jalal here?)
To top it, Jodha is confessing to the crime
I foresee a minimum of 15 blue topics devoted to this precap now...start typing away girls 😆
