Detailed Update - 12 Feb 07

The episode starts with Meera aka Shagun stopping her m-i-l, Tribeni from entering the car and tells that initially she was thinking as to who was responsile for locking her inside the temple when she was informed by Tribeni that Sumer had met with an accident. She later found an ear ring within the temple premises which belonged to Tribeni. So Meera now accused Tribeni of trying to lock her inside so as to prevent her from reaching Shan and Alaka's wedding. Tribeni puts up a great act and tells Meera that whatever she does, she will never earn Meera's trust cos she is Sumer's step mother and that inspite of being broad minded wnough to take Meera inside her house, even after hearing all sorts of tales about her, Meera was still distrusting her and that she did not wish to speak with her at all. Tribeni enters the car and locks all doors and windows while Meera stands helplessly outside trying to get Tribeni to speak with her and also asked for her forgiveness profusely. Tribeni refuses to budge and she places a call with her jewellers asking them to prepare another ear ring, similar to the one that Meera has found inside the temple. She also thinks to herself that although its true that she is responsible for locking Meera inside the temple, yet the mistake that Meera had committed by insulting her in front of everybody will be repaid.

Shan and Alaka are inside their room where they are discussing about how the life that had stopped 20 years ago had once again re-started, thanks to their children. They wished that their children also receive the same luck and happiness that they have managed to find for their parents.

After reaching home, Tribeni goes straight to her room and locks her door. Meera follows her and requests her to open the door but her m-i-l doesn't budge a bit. Damini comes and asks Meera to go and take rest in her room and that she would coax Tirbeni out of her room and explain her the situation. Meera goes to her room and sits down thinking as to why she was facing such problems in dealing with her in-laws and that once Sumer reaches home, she would explain everything to him and he would go and convince Tribeni to forgive Meera.

Damini is sitting in the drawing hall all alone when Sumer returns. Her hears Damini cring and asks her for the reason – Damini tells her that today Meera had belittled her m-i-l in front of others and that she doesn't care about any family issues or members. Summer is very angry. He storms into his bedroom and holding Meera, savagely by her arm, forcibly took her downstairs with him so that Meera may seek Tribeni's forgiveness. Meera tries to appease Tribeni to open the door and tells her that she is indeed very sorry. Sumer also now asks her Mom to open the door. After a while, Tribeni comes out, her dress and hair all askew, she puts up another acvt in front of Sumer and says that in spite of being Sumer's step-mom, she had never had any ill feelings towards Meera and was just trying to help. Summer was very angry with Meera and tells her to realize what good a person his Mother is and that Meera would have to pay heavily if she creates anymore trouble in the house.

Sangita, thanks for the update. Why cant serials be like story books where people get married and live happily ever after? Why cant mils and sils be shown as nice people instead of the usual witch type?

And isn't there any reprieve in Meera's life. Should she suffer always like the legendary Meera? and what is ammaji doing now? Khaandaan ki parampara?????
