Part 22

Maan's words were still ringing in her mind again and again... I have no need of you anymore... And so... I was reappointed from the Post of Director Khurana's Private Secretary...

Back to Khurana Headquarters,

Just to forget the words said by Maan, Geet made herself busy. The way she worked, the fastest in her work made others to worry on her.

Girl 1: is Geet all right? She took a break because of health reasons and look what she does the moment she comes back...

Staff 2: its almost scary to watch how quick she is...

Staff 3: Ms handa... manager Khurana wants to see you.

Geet: TRANSFER?

Dev: I think you've heard of RMK company?

Geet: Yes. Its one of the members of Khurana Corporation. It deals with Import and sale of interior...

Dev: That's the one. They want to establish a secretarial office and have requested our help.

Geet: You're assigning me there?

Dev: oh that's not a permanent assignment. I just want you to help them with their preparations. You'll take over the secretarial duties there. And you will advise them about the types of staff they'll need for the new secretarial office. Basically you'll show them how a secretarial office is supposed to function.

Geet: You're entrusting me with such an important task?

Dev: You're an excellent employee, so I can leave this to you. And anyway, dont you think its for the best if you're away from head quarters now?

Geet was both shocked and sad...

Dev: you knw that Maan is a vampire and you still kept serving him... you even went so far as to offer a vampire you blood. You were really considerate of him. Changing your post is meaningless if you're reappointed somewhere near him, because it'll be just as painful, am I right?

Geet: manager...

Dev: I dont want anything to interfere with your flawless work, that's all. And... Maan also agreed to this arrangement. So it has to be you.

Geet was totally numb again...

New Office, New place... RMK Company,

Boss: I dont need a secretary!

The staffs of that company was quite embarrassed with their boss's act.

Staff: President Rishab Khundra but...

Rishab: You can use her for whatever you like. I dont need her. I can take care of myself by myself.

Almost the same as the last...She was lost in her first meeting with Maan. GET HER OUT OF HERE...

Director... Geet just close her eyes to control her emotions and feelinga.

Geet: Excuse me, President Khundra. I think that if you leave all the odd jobs connected to your work to us secretaries instead of dealing with them yourself, this will make the working process here faster and more efficient. I know it is stressful to leave your work to strangers. I was sent here in order to try to lessen this stress and help as much as I can. with a smile... if its not a problem, I'd like you to give me a chance at this... this is my job.

Geet was keeping herself busy with her work. Even if I'm not by the director's side, I still have my job to do... besides... if I keep myself occupied, then I might even stop thinking about him. Rishab was watching the way Geet was working in his company and the feeling towards her is changing from hatred to respect.

At the party hall, Rishab walked in along with Geet.

Geet: Mr President, is it really all right to choose me as a companion for Today's party at M Company?

Rishab: As you know, I'm not married, but it would be inappropriate to come alone to such a gathering. You're a real professional, so you;re just fine. Geet was still hesitant. In the end, I gave in to you... you really convinced me that we do need secretaries to increase the efficiency of the company. You're a truly great employe.

Geet: Oh No, you're giving me too much credit!

Rishab: but, wasnt it due to your efforts that we achieved such results? But suddenly Geet felt that someone was watching her... I dont think anyone but you could have convinced me of this.

Geet: President Khundra...

When they came inside, the two pairs of eyes met each other after a long time... Geet noticed that Maan was standing with one beautiful girl. Geet's eyes instantly got wet...

Geet: Director Khurana...

Maan was as always with a straight face.

Rishab: Ah, its Director Khurana...

When Rishab greeted Maan, he was standing as if no one wished him. Which was both shock and embarrassment to Rishab. Geet was watching all this...

The girl with Maan just noticed Geet and said: Ah, weren't you Maan's secretary before?

Rishab: now that you mentioned it, Handa. You were in his employment until you came to me, right?

But Geet's concentration was fully on Maan: Did you ... find a replacement? She asked with a full expectation to hear No...

Maan was angry with her question for some reason. Yeah... no problem at all.

Even if you're gone, its.. No Problem at all'

Maan: Excuse me...

Rishab: Your ex boss is a very unsociable person, isn't he?

I HAVE NO NEED OF YOU!

When I first thought about distancing myself from him, I still thought that he would need me. I was overestimating myself. That's why being dumped like that by him came as shock. I'm so stupid... even if I'm not with the Director, that's not a problem for him.She wasnt able to take the pain in her chest. She placed her hand on her chest... Even if I distance myself and try to forget I'll still think of him...

Girl: Maan... Lately, you've been unusually Vehement about women. Isn't it because the one you're staring at left you?

Maan: Nothing of the sort. And I'm not staring.

Girl: Ah, so your bad temper is always because of a woman, after all!

Maan: Cut out the idiocy.

Maan's eyes was fully on the Geet who was busy with the business talks with the clients present in that party.

Geet: Would you like a Drink, President M?

M: thank you, I'll have some more wine.

Geet went to get some drinks for them, when she was about to take the glasses from the counter, another hand came along to take the glasses. Once again their eyes met...

Director... I want to face him as little as possible...

Geet turned her face and about to leave which made Maan angry...

Maan: your boss is good for nothing if he makes a woman run such errands for him.

Geet was totally fedup with his comment: I am here as his secretary. President Khundra is in the middle of business negotiation right now, so this is my duty. And also... just like when I was in your employment I have to do ALL SORTS OF JOBS to keep him and his work going smoothly. Now, if you'll excuse me.

Maan was totally upset with her attitude.

Geet: sorry for the delay President R

She turned and gave another wine glass to Rishab: This is for you, President.

Rishab : Thanks

Maan was totally angry with the way geet was with Rishab and others. He just marched towards the direction where Geet was standing. Geet's heart starting to thump fast knowing Maan's presence. Next sec she felt her dress getting wet which happned just becos Maan accidently slipped his champagne on her dress...

Maan: Oh... Excuse me. I'm sorry, Present Khundra. She needs to wash this now. He just grabbed Geet before anyone can react. I'll borrow her for a while.

Rishab: Ehm.. All right.

When Maan was dragging Geet inside the Hallway,

Geet: I cant believe this! You did it on purpose.

Maan: Eye sore!

Geet: What?

Maan: I cant stand to see someone use so freely something I used before. So stop appearing before my eyes like that. On Phone... Its me. I need a suit for one woman ASAP

Geet: What? Stop talking such nonsense. What I do with anyone or where has nothing to do with you anymore, Director. You were the one who said you didn't need me anymore in the first place. I'm not your secretary anymore... Geet was struggling to free her hand from Maan's grip. The more she struggled the more tighter he hold her... Maan moves near Geet face and said.

Maan: even if I throw you away, you're still mine!

Geet: How can you say something so...

Maan: Shut up.

He made her get into the suit and arranged people to water wash her dress. All the while Geet was totally confused with her feelings her. Am I mad with him or ... or am I ...

Once her dress was ready she went to Maan's suite where she saw the girl was sitting one his lap.

Geet; Ah... thank you very much for taking care of the dry cleaning and... I'll make sure at least to compensate you later for...

Maan : I dont need it. I told you, you're an eyesore. So just dont appear before me again...

Geet was both frustuated and sad.

Geet: Excuse me, then...she just closed the door and marched out fast...

In Maan's suite,

Girl: What are you so nervous about? That woman? Or yourself?

Maan was silent as he wasnt able to answer the question which is rising within himself.

Outside the premises, both Rishab and Geet were bidding goodbye to their client.

Rishab: I hope to see you again soon.

Geet: be careful and have a safe trip.

Rishab: Make an appointment with President R first thing tomorrow morning.

Geet: Understood.

While retuning back to the premises, she finds a shawl stuck in the bushes which is in the entrance of the premises. Then she notice two girls walking on the pavement talking and giggling.

Geet: I think someone dropped this. Excuse me, I'll go return it.

Sayng this she startred moving towards the girl's side. Maan who came outside just then, noticed what Geet was doing. While moving towards his car, his full concentration was on Geet who was now handing over the shawl to the girl who missed it. While the girl turned with her shawl, Geet's glass was stuck in that and the force made her fall back on the road as she was standing on the edge of the platform.

Girl to Geet: Oh, my I'm so sorry. Are you alright?

Geet: Oh yes,.. But she was busy in searching her glasses. (God not again)

Suddenly the car was coming so fast in the direction of Geet. Both Maan and Rishab were shocked to see that.
