Part 21

Geet handed over her work related files to her colleague and left the office.

New day, new start. Maan's cabin was so silent as Geet's typing was missing. He was silent too, which is unusual after Geet coming into his life or should I say office. The next sec Maan marched outside his room, strangled the girl who was standing on his way, when she backed off in fear, he wasn't in a mind set to notice the things that happened in matter of secs. If it was old Maan he would have blasted that girl and sent her out of the office, but right now his mind was occupied with so much things, like anger, hatred and unnamed feeling or attraction to a particular person which he is not ready to accept it.

The way he marched towards Dev's cabin was so fast and anger was reflected in his eyes. The people who saw him can compare his speed as a storm or thunder, which might destroy them if they interrupt. Once inside Dev's cabin...

Maan: WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?

Dev: This? What?

Maan: Who gave you the rights to reappoint my secretary!

Dev with a calm voice: I'm incharge of the Human Resource department. You know, I guess. I was only doing my job.

Maan snapped back in anger: No, you weren't. YOU ARE JUST TRYING TO SEPARATE HER FROM ME.

Dev: Nothing of that sort...

Maan grabbed Dev's shirt with Anger and said: SHE IS MINE... And I hate it when other people mess with my property!

Dev: You are suprising me Maan. Are you attached to Geet to that degree? Maan was shocked with that statement. He never expected that coming I guess. You've never been so emotional about any "Mere Human" before. I thought it was impossible for you. Are you in love with her?

Maan: Now that is impossible.

Dev: Really? I thought so too... Geet isn't the type of girl you usually date with. What you're looking for in a woman first? Her figure, then you see if you can use her and finally her qualities as a women.

Maan: It's much more comfortable to have around you A diplomatic woman you can use. Such women are more fun and doesn't cause trouble.

Dev (Anger): Geet is an excellent woman, but she's not like that. And even if she tries to pretty up, she's not the type who stands out. She had to be the Perfect Secretary for you. You should have never tried to lay a hands on her. We misjudged her courage, both you and me.

Maan who was all the while facing his back towards Dev turned and asked him: Courage?

Dev: Yes. In order to carry out her duties, in order to avoid all the troubles for you she offered her body to you, even though she knew you are a Vampire. And she knew that you were only using her to make yourself comfortable. Besides, weren't you moved by her unexpected actions before? That was a first for you.

Maan: Dont be stupid.

Dev: What else do you call such a feeling of attachment?

Maan: How many times do I have to tell you? Impossible. She was good at work and her blood was unusual. I just thought it would be bad to lose her. And I didn't come here for her sake. I just cant stand your method.

Both were silent for some back showing their backs to each other. It was Dev who finally broke the silence between them.

Dev: She asked me to save her from you. She was scared to stay by your side any longer. No matter if there was any special attachment between you or not. As long as you keep that so called Vampire Pride, all you can do is make her suffer. She'll gradually drift away from you. I'm planning to move her away from our Head Quarters. Maan you aren't attached to her because her blood is special. You have a special feelings for her. That is the reason why her blood is special to you. Isn't it?

Maan who was angry for a while tried to calm himself and said with a smirk: YOU'RE AN IDIOT. With that he left the room, leaving totally pissed off Dev who was wondering how to make him understand his feelings towards Geet and accept them.

Maan walked out off the office in a very angry mood.

Night Time, Geet's House. The lights were glowing in her room, while instead of resting Geet was sitting with her diary to be very clear, the diary in which she have taken notes of Maan's schedule. He has meeting with Singhania's President tomorrow. I prepared the data for him, so he should be all right.

Then her thoughts drifted to her Director... He will probably be at Office right now.

Rano: Geet. Are you still going through that Scheduler again?

Geet jumped with sudden appearance and question of Rano.

Rano: You took this break because you are overworking and you need rest as it affects your health. So you should actually rest for a while!

Geet: Oh Yeah... Sorry ma...

Once Rano left, Geet was again indulged in her deep thoughts...I'm so stupid...Her thoughts were disturbed by her phone call.

Geet:Hello... Handa here...

Maan: It's me. I'm down here. Come out. With that he just disconnected the call.

Geet: Hello... Hello...

She checked herself in the mirror before stepping out. She was embarrassed to be in front of Maan with her Pyjamas, so she wrapped a shawl around her and silently tried to step out of her house, but when she saw Rano working near the door, she just informed saying

Geet: Ma, I'm going to the stores!

Rano: Are you all right dear?

Geet: Yes, I just need some fresh air ma.

Rano: It's late. Be careful and come home soon.

When she stepped out of her house, she noticed a car in a safe distance from her place. She was totally shocked to see Maan waiting for her outside the car, that too that this late hours. She with her slow steps reached Maan.

Maan who was just looking at her from the moment she stepped out of her house, enquired about her health.

Geet: Thanks... I'm recovering.

Maan: Hmmm... About the company... No problem there. (OMG Maan is stammering) Some inconveniences now and then, but generally it returned to the way it was before you came.

Geet: Oh... is it so... and How was your work today? When Maan was silent the next question that raised in her mind came out before she could stop it... Do you need my blood?

Maan who watched her so few secs suddenly grabbed her arms and pulled her towards him. If you offer yourself to me so freely, then why the hell you are trying to go away from me?Geet was shocked with the way the question was asked. You enjoyed it when I drank your blood. You thought your job was worth doing. Then why the hell you want to throw all these away and separate yourself from me?

He suddenly pushed her towards his car and met her lips with his. As the kiss was so passionate and rough, Geet felt herself getting drowned in that kiss. Slowly Maan started to move away from her lips to her ears and just brushed his fangs on her ears without biting her.

No... No... I'll surrender to this Man if this continues. Suddenly she pushed off Maan PLEASE STOP! She hugged herself and started to cry... That is the reason why... why I cant stand it when you make me drown in such sensations that are incompatible with my feelings... I know its a lie. My heart longs for you more compared to my body but I have to do this. Maan was just glaring at her with no reactions written on his face. I... I cant give you my blood anymore... I felt really bad about neglecting my responsibilities and leaving half way though. But... But I am sorry that I cant do anything about your hunger anymore.

Maan: DONT GET ABOVE YOURSELF!

Geet who was trying to show a normal professional face in front of Maan was shocked with the way he spoke to her...

Maan:You are a Perfect Secretary...(I am angry, Just a Perfect Secretary... GRRR😡) Your blood was special too... But! Do you really think I'll keep chasing after you? It'll be little inconvenient, that's all. I can replace you with any other Mere Human. If you dont work for me, then I have no need of you anymore. With that he just left behind numb Geet and drove off his car.

Geet who was standing like a statue watching the car moving far and far away from her just dropped to her knees as she felt that her knees doesn't have the strength to hold her anymore... I am really such a fool... somewhere in my heart, I still believe that he needs me. I thought he couldn't do without me. But he just threw me away from him... Director left me...

So Maan was furious to know that Dev has sent Geet away.But he wont accept his feeling.
Its not her blood but its Geet herself that Maan wants coz he loves her.

He went to Geet's home to meet her coz he cant stay away but his big size vampire ego wont let him realise his love.

While Geet felt hurt knowing that Maan doesnt care.
