The thing is its all happened so they have the memory it's just they don't remember anything except for Gullika 😊 so they did go back but with the "memory" in their head...not sure how DamVeer will recall anything...but Gullika has the ring 4 RK...

They have all been sent back 1000 years from the present by RKs mother Vishgati to where it all started. In other words history is to be re written. Vishgati didnt want RK to ever meet Damyanti or to fall in love which can destroy him and him ending up the same way he did the first time 1000 years ago.
Basically RK knew and hated Veer from the beginning when he knew Damu loved Veer. To RK they have always been Damyanti and Veer even when they were Savitri and Satya.
It is confusing if you havent watched the show from the beginning.

Gulika has the ring, but will she give it to RK? She was supposed to give it him if he falls in love with Damyanti, but she hasnt and infact has encourged him to do anything to get Damu.
As for DamVeer, well Damu did say she must have been Savitri in her previous life thats why she said the name Savitri to Veer. And then theres the mangalsutra which the Cvs seem to have forgotten about. How they'll remember, well dont know 😕

With Gullika- she's trying 2 rewrite her history & get more powerful than RK where I see RK protecting Gullika as a brother would so we see this love/hate relationship between the two siblings...

With DamVeer- yes their love is so strong they found each other again n yes fell in love too!! With so much going on, CVs must've gotten stuff here & there...they need 2 go back in their scripts & refresh their info 😆
