The week started with Janmasthami preparations going on and Kumud learning from her MIL that Pramad shared his birthday with Lord Krishna. Saubhagyalaxmi Devi also told Kumud about a few incidents related to Pramad's childhood and how he got into drinking habits.
Pramad on the other hand was going to town with Naveen and on the way talked about Saraswatichandra, his wife's ex-husband leaving Naveenchandra flummoxed. He also asked Naveen to find out about the latter to which Naveen refused. Pramad got angry and punched him.
Back home, SD and Kumud were shocked to see Saras' bleeding lips. Kumud was upset when she learned that Pramad had hit Saras and realized that because of her oath, Saras didn't give it back to him. Later she came to Saras and told him that she had forgiven him and he could go away as she was no longer his responsibility.
An annoyed kusum demanded the same but was shocked when Saras told her about Pramad's interest in Saraswatichandra. Saras promised that he would go away only after fixing things between Kumud and Pramad and if for that he had to revive Saraswatichandra, he would!!
Kalika in the meantime was busy scheming and plotting to know Kumud's secrets to use against her. Faking a foot injury, she proposed that Saras and Kumud to go to the market. She then went to Kumud's room where Pramad was sleeping to look for the earring. Pramad woke up and Kalika asked for new clothes. Pramad jokingly told her that he was married now and she won't get anything from him.
A fuming Kalika vowed to herself that she would never let Pramad's marital status get in her way. Later she openly challenged Kumud that she would show her, on Pramad's birthday, that she rules Pramad's heart.
On Janmastham Day, Kumud was fasting and she hoped to fulfill the promise she made to Pramad's mom. She went to BD to get him to wish his son and bless him on his birthday. The latter obliged but got taunts in return from Pramad. When Kumud brought milk for him, he bluntly told her that he would neither drink the milk nor attend the puja and asked Kumud to leave him alone.
Seeing Kumud's disheartened face, Saras ensured her that Pramad would attend the puja. Saras again got Pramad hooked by using Saraswatichandra as bait " if you want to know about Saraswatichandra, you must win Kumud's heart.
So Pramad drank the milk and came to kumud to show her the empty glass. Suddenly a tired and weak Kumud felt dizzy and was about to fall. Both Saras and Pramad ran...
Saras stopped as he saw Pramad taking charge. Pramad ran to hold Kumud and lifted her in his arms and carried the unconscious Kumud to their room. Saras looked on with tears in his eyes. Kumud and Pramad were getting closer and his promised was getting fulfilled.
In the room, Kumud regained consciousness; she wished Pramad and requested him not to drink on Janmasthami Day. An annoyed Pramad refused and warned her not to impose herself on him by fasting for him.
Kumud challenged Pramad " I won't break my fast. I have faith that you won't drink today.
To that, Pramad declared that he would drink and break her fast too. He left the room.
Kalika was witnessing the face off behind the door.

Pramad comes to his room and looks at the milk glass. Saras comes near the Lord and says thank you. He smiles. Kusum comes there. Saras tells her that is right you are annoyed but my Lord will not be annoyed with me. He says today something good will happen. He says the Lord will give us hope today. Saras is excited. Saras blows the shank. Pramad drinks the milk. Saras is really happy.by

There couldn't be a better way to honour the show this week (with it's many Radha-Krishna parallels) than make this week's "Tasveer of the week" based on Janmashtami! Once again, Happy (Late) Janmashtami to all! đ¤
