'I am very happy in my marriage'

Dr Mahesh Chitnis came to our office yesterday and had this to say, in response to our story 'Doctor's Order?' (Feb 8, 2007)

I am anchoring Hello Doctor phone-in programme on DD10-Sahyadri for the last eight years. Poonam and I never hosted any show on Doordarshan. Poonam used to anchor another show on the same channel. We were invited as special guests on Antakshari of DD10-Sahyadri a few years back. There, we got introduced to each other, being partners on the show. Later, she was hospitalised as she was suffering from jaundice. But her condition worsened there, so she contacted me for further treatment. I agreed to it and she started coming to my clinic after finishing her shoots (not at midnight). And she was cured by me. Since we had already participated together on Antakshari of DD10-Sahyadri, she requested me to be her partner in Zee's Antakshari. I like singing, so I agreed to it. And I participated in the same. I have never attended any party or dinner with her. And never shared any relationship with her, nor was I ever in love with her. I am very happy in my marraige with my wife, Sayuri, and two-year-old son, Vihaan. My family is deeply hurt by the report of my relationship with Poonam."

Oh my that was total misinterpretation of some one's freindship. thanks for the article.

I guess people shouldn't believe gossip from other people. I feel bad for him and plus, this article made Shubhra look like a homewrecker by showing Mahesh as her love interest while he's married. That's pretty lame of the people who write these articles.

i know these people are so related........i didnt believe that previous article at all.......i mean do you think that if poonam and this doctor loved eachother and openly presented their love for eachother at every public event, he would still remain married?........do you think his wife would be so stupid as to allow him to publicly display another woman's presence in his life???.......these people are brainless.........i feel sorry for the guy......and poonam.......i know she doesnt present herself to be the girl-next-door considering her dressing sense, but maligning her like that is unacceptable.......and besides she could wear whatever she wants......i feel very bad for these actors.........their life is always speculated and privacy has no place in their life..........but as they say, everything comes with a price..........naina

I agree why can't ppl accept man and woman can have freindship without having any love interest.
