Seriously! Will it kill anyone to not have a villain. Aaarrrgghh! Any Playfull Kiss or Itazura na Kiss or ISWAK fangurls here? Or even First Shop of Coffee Prince. Do you spot any villains? No villians' darn it.

And then the Indian tele villians are lame and it's always oh-bad-is-bad. Really bad. Really bad. Out of the point.. but dafaq did we need a villian at the initial point of the show?!

Bottom line. I don't want a villain. Not atleast now. Ya'll are overusing your "shocks"; we have a revelation and marriage coming up. And now a villian.

And the fact that telly wood fails to hint but suddenly any character turns into a villian. Unlike other show-doms. For example: in King Flower; Chris Wu's secretary through like one-third of the series was hinted to be a villian with all those mysterious phonecalls and all but then she wasn't.

Or consider Arang and the Magistrate - The Magistrate's mother who he has come searching for is portrayed to be a woman who's social status(slave) forces her to force her son away to live with his noble father, she is then shown to be a pure badass, but as the show progresses we just remained hooked and shocked. And there are so many villians here. Like that Choi guy and his 'son' and we stand there guessing what they're upto. (I love this show. Shin Minah is like, awesome in here.)

Now consider DEK - the 'main' character Akash was all sugar fluff and rainbows for like 3/4 of the series and then suddenly he comes back as the villian, dafaq? It isn't justified. He just "dies", then gets a rich daddy and suddenly puts his hatred towards the royals in action. Badly executed you see.

IPKKND had a good villian but he was to cliche/mainstream for me. Such a turn off. I even quit the show at it's initial stages coz of him. Yeah.

There are so many villians out there, that were awesome. Coming to my favourite chick-flick "villian" growing up: Sharpay Evans. (If you don't know her, I suggest that...) She wasn't even a villain to me, but she was technically the "villain" according to Disney and instead of hating her I loved her.

Lol, love your rant sweety...😛😉😊

Well I totally agree with you about every show not needing a villain (unless of course it a gansta movie or something😆). Anyway I guess all these serial writers figure they need to have an antagonist in the form of a villian in just about each and every show. The obstacles/problems that Nikhil and Lajo will have to overcome should be more than enough for now then to bring in a villain so fast.

My thoughts though are that perhaps once Lajo goes to Dehli she will probably discover that Sid is not a good guy and may tell Nikhil about it which could be why he will cause problems for the two of them. My only hope is that somehow this will make Nikhil and Lajo closer (ie. playing cupid as Anju had mentioned).

Blllaaahhh! Cliche.. it screams cliche! That track is too overused.

Ikr. Why is there no India drama minus an antagonist. Okay, for a second believe that I let this show have an antagonist, but dafaq would the writers write the characters well. I think K-Drama's Hong Sister's or whoever have awesome villians. I ain't sure but yeah. Twisted logic; like in Master's Sun the lead guy is kidnapped and then one of his "torture" includes reading an Agatha Christie novel out loud (the one where all the characters die) and out hero gets freaked out that he goes dyslexic. And that was when he was in highschool, now this dude's this cold hearted chaebol.

Or Faith where there's this guy who plays the flue until it bursts your arteries, thus killing you and his sister/partner burns people up with her affinity for fire.

In Arang and The Magistrate; the Choi father and son are evil but no one can guess that, not do they go on the streets and act psychotic coz hey they're the villians, let the world know.

Klaus from TVD.. the supposedly villian I guess, Damon the anti hero. Dayyum.

Or City Hunter - Lee Min Ho's "political Korean parliament" centered drama.

Too much of Korean stuff I know. 😆

Bring a villian when we need one, not like Madhubala where every second track has a villian. Or some Ekta show. Her trademark man. As much as she gives us awesome shows in the long run, for they viewers - yeah, they tick them off!

That's what I said. ^ There are serials minus a villian. So many - just not Indian! 🤣

I agree. The development of this story does not need a villain. It needs characters who are merely human - good, bad, flawed. The coming of age tale of a young girl should be interesting enough without needless theatrics.

There is enough drama without a villain..I don't think there is going to be one, unless they want to turn Ishana into one. Some of Nikhil's family members are grey characters, but not villains by any stretch of the imagination...I hope it stays the same.

Really what was the need of a pure villain in this show? there are already too many characters who are not going to support Nikhil-Lajjo & will act like negative characters.
