February 1rst update

Today's episode was about Babu the whole way and he has got a job finally.... 😉


As you people guessed, Babu is trying to commit suicide but Thilaga sees him from behind and stops him and screams at her mother. His mother asks why he tried to do that? She cries and says she want her son to live, he does not have to work or find a job, she just want her son to be with her.

The next morning
Babu is looking "freshly" and Thilaga comes with "thirinur" to him. She has prayed for him for his interview. She is sure he will get the job. The other brother comes down with a shirt and pants for his brother and ask him to wear it, he gives him some money and ask Babu to leave as soon as possible before Manjula sees him and goes upstairs. Thilaga says all of this is happening because of Anjali, when Babu hear her name, he gets angry and ask Thilga not to mention her name again.

Babu is wearing the cloths his brother gave him and his mother comes with a basket containing "pulisatham" for him. She is very happy to see a changed Babu and ask him to call Anjali and share the happy news with her. He is very angry with Anjali and is very determined to show her that he will live very well in front of her. His mother is sad to hear that, and tries to tell him something but he is not in mood to hear about it. His father comes and very sarcastically asks why he has wearing nice cloths when it is not necessary as he wont getting the job. His mother asks Babu to leave and say, she believes he will get the job.

Manjula comes and ask Babu to come back as he is wearing her husband's cloths. She asks her FIL where his older son is going. He says to attend an interview, Manju laughs and ask where? Interview at the wine shop? She says he will not get any job in this century and leaves. The mother comes back and asks why he didn't say anything to Manjula when she was talking abasuganam. Her husband says her son is only worth to drink, drink more and finally drink to his death. Mother is standing there alone and cries for herself.

Manjula is doing "arthi" for her new television. Her hubby and kid are watching this nonsense without saying a word. Thilaga comes upstairs to them and wonder where her brother and SIL gets all the money from, last week they bought a chain worth 95 000Rs and this week a new TV. Her brother says Manjula get the money from a very nice woman called for Dhanulaksmi who helps other people. Thilaga also want meet Dhanu, but her brother advice her not do that.

Chennai
Babu arrives to a house for his interview. A girl ( Deepa) comes out very disappointed. She sees Babu and enquiry him if he is the Pandy Babu who has come to attend the interview. Babu asks how she knows his name? The girl says she can predict the future. She also come to attend the interview, but the old guy inside asked her many stupid questions like are you married? How old are you? Any children? etc. She asks if she is looking like a married girl? She scares him a lot and gives him many bad ideas like how to answer to their questions and answer the opposite, tell lies that he is married with 8 kids, living in a platform etc. ( very funny scene and Deepa is very good) 😆

Babu slowly begins to walk inside, but turn back and ask her name. She says her name is "pisasu" and laughs. [LOL 😆 ]

Babu comes inside, the boss ( they guy who played annamalais father in annamalai) asks him to sit down, but Babu refuses. The boss has a glass of whisky in his hand and Babu is feeling uncomfortably but tries his best to answer to the oldies questions. Suddenly at a point, he losses his control and begins to say all the thing the girl outside told him. The boss asks him to cool down and brings the girl inside and introduces her as his daughter. Father and daughter laugh and say Babu has got the job. He ask him to join tomorrow, Babu ask if he can get 10000 in advance because one of his is admitted at he hospital and has TB. One of the reasons for why he needs this job is his friends treatment. The girl asks her father to give him the amount and goes upstairs to get the money very happily. Her father is hearing her laughter and thinks flashback " a girl is lying on the water at a beach and people runs toward her" FREEZE

Hey ALL PRAJIN FANS - This is for you..

I read this interview of Prajin recently. He has said that he has got a lot of appreciation for his acting skills in Anjali as an anti-hero.
Now, he's so busy going to all these classes to prepare him for a hero role in a movie (like dancing, swimming, horse-riding, fight classes and the like) that he doesn't find time to present sbows in SUN Music anymore. Also the latest is, he thinks he's going to do this movie in as early as 6 months.

I'm sure Jiggly and Trisha are going to be overjoyed at this.

Update for Mon Feb 5-2007

Supriya (Not sure about her screen name) awaiting Jeeva and looking very cross. She tells her mother that this jeeva said he will come long back but still he has not yet come. M<ay be he might have gone back to pondicherry. I have half a mind to go there and talk to kaveri and jeeva's mother.
Her mother says don't do anything rash. Soon jeeva comes in and then they start taking food.Jeeva asks her how are the dresses and then says her yellow dress makes her like an angel and her black dress makes her like Cleopatra. She is very pleased and then he asks about the sarees and she says contemptuously that as they are selected by kaveri and the dresses will be like that only. Lot of teasing and banter talk between the two and he says he is feeling very relaxed and contented here.Her mother keeps saying don't disturb jeeva too much.

Anjali is taken by Chak (with gopal) to a shopping complex where they are received by 2 businessmen. Chak introduces anjali to them and says he is going to buy this complex in her nmame only and she is going to approve that. Anjali can't understand what is going on and now she is taken on a tour inside.Now Gopal and Chakj tell by turn all the plus points of buying the complex like number of shops and how much profits they can make later if they buy that complex.
Later chak tells anjali that he has 2 sons--one son is not traceable now and it is nnot sure whether he is alive and Ashok though his behaviour may be her/there, basically he is a good guy. He says all this wealth is hers only and hence he is telling her all this. She says she does not want to enjoy some one else's wealth and she knows this is not her wealth.
She tells this so emphatically and leaves which puts Chak in shock.

Sundaram taking food and he asks thilaka about her mother.Thilaka says she is looking out for babu. Sundaram tells sarcastically that may be he may be drowning in booze somewhere.
Soon Babu comes in with sweets and everyone is happy.. Babu offers sweets to sundaram and then withdraws the offer and says you wished very bad for me when I went for interview and so you don't deserve this. Guna/manjula come and manjula says though she did not wish him in the beginning, later she cam to know about anjali's arrogant talk with babu and hence she supports babu,she says. She further says we all should unite against Anjali's arrogant attitude. After she goes, guna secretly colects the sweets. Babu now gives Rs.10000 to his mother but she declines it. He tells her to offer to God and then he will take it.

Jeeva back home in Pondicherry and tells Kaveri that he is very tired and asks her to set up dinner for him. She asks him whether he went by bus or lorry. He laughs and asks whether anyone will go by lorry. She accuses him of cheating her and says don't think I am so foolish as not to detect it.

This is for you Caryn & for those of you who can't watch it online. Lots of events in this episode(may be Tuedays' or probably I have them mixedup) - hopefully, I'll cover them all.

The ever crying Kaveri tells Jeeva that he can't cheat her anymore. He tells her that he went to Madras on a business trip only. When she asks about the other 2 sarees which she picked (and which she knows he bought), he tells her that he returned those 2 sarees back to the store, as their family budget didn't allow him to splurge like that. He praises her natural beauty/good looks and she is instantly gratified. Oh.. what an immature character!

Cut to Chak & assistant in his factory talking to the President of the Union or some such. He makes a bribe deal with the Pres, to handle the irate workers, when they will be displaced by Machineries. The Pres introduces a Jingchak Jalra to Chak and says this is the guy who will be running for Secretary of the Union in the next election, against Jeeva. Chak ends up bribing both, before they leave.

Kailash enters and the assistant is dismissed from the scene. Chak tells him that Anjali refused to own the shopping complex that he offered to buy for her. He expresses his doubts that Anjali may be drifting away from what they planned. Ashok shows his true colors and says he doesn't care for Anjali anymore and he would gladly get rid of her from his household, now that she's acting up. At this point, Chak delivers some punch dialogue, which was nothing short of ROTFL kind. Something about we should not be "MalaiPaambu" which waits for its prey, but rather be a "Vishapaambu" which is born with Venom. Really, didn't get the relevance of this Punch dialague till the very end 😆

Cut to Anjali and Maya at their house. Maya asks Anjali where she had been the previous day with Chak, and that she was very concerned about Anjali that Chak took her alone some where. Anjali tells her about the Shopping complex deal. Maya is very upset about Anjali's decision and suggests that Anjali in fact, should have agreed to have the complex registered as her property - this is the only way they are going to get her any property. Just then, the maid walks towards them and Maya switches to her paralytic tone. The maid expresses her doubt that she heard Maya talking normally and why did she switch to her paralytic tone. Both Anjali and Maya deny such a thing and shoo her away.

Babu goes looking for Devaki & her husband to give them the money he borrowed from his employer. When he goes to the hospital, he only meets the husband who is the patient and gives him the money. The husband after pocketing the money, senses that Babu is looking for Devaki and tells him not to be lusting another's wife. This is like a slap on the face for Babu and he leaves the room. He bumps into Devaki on the way and she is very surprised to see a changed Babu - dressed well and behaviour too. She tells him that Anjali was there who helped them transfer to a better hospital and that she gave them money. Devaki asks if Babu started working in Madras because he wants to help her financially. She then says Anjali is a very nice person and that Babu should stop drinking. To that Babu replies, "If I stop drinking, will I get you back?" - Freeze frame on Devaki' startled face.

I really think that's nasty of Babu to ask her that, being someone's wife as she is.

Here's another episode. Didn't watch the first few minutes. Others can fill in, if I've missed something.

Ashok asks Anjali why she is very indifferent, these days. He mentions the same shopping complex episode to her in a rude sort of way and this time she says in a similar tone "Yeah, I'm all for it. Go ahead and have it registered in my name within the next week". He is very surprised and alarmed at her sudden change in attitude/decision.

Ashok tells Chak about his suspicion, that Anjali might take away everything from them, once they start buying property for her. Chak asks him to calm down and that this is the only way to keep Anjali in their grasp. Ashok tells his Dad that he's sensing that Anjali's changed ever since they left for the Madras trip. Chak tells Ashok in turn about a girl calling into his private number at his home (which the secretary updates him) when they were away. He says that it's a possibility that Anjali knows about the caller and the calls and that's why Anjali's changed attitude? Chak asks if the girl who called could have been Nalini? To this, Ashok says it can't be Nalini as she is not even in Coimbatore and he can't find her anyway. But they kind of finish this scene with Ashok confused as to who the caller might be..

Yamuna meets the reporter by chance. This was a totally lame scene. The reporter says he's going to Madras to cover a fashion show (but he actually says 'feyshon' show - when are they going to learn to pronounce even the simplest english words? sigh..) Anyway, Yamuna says she wants to tag along with him to Madras and she wouldn't mind getting on a bus with him or to go anywhere with him in life or some such poetic thing.

Gee.. this is the most unromantic scene parading as romance. The girl Yamuna is good looking (but suddenly in almost grey contacts - she looked better before without the lighter contacts), but the guy is a total disaster, a complete mismatch totally lacking chemistry between the two.

Babu goes to Anjali's house to meet her while Maya is watching. Anjali is very surprised to find her brother looking so decent and all and is happy to see him that way, but hides it. She asks him haughtily why he was there? Babu asks her why did she want to help his friend Devaki? Anjali says she just tried to help another woman in need and nothing else. Anyway, she says you owe me Rs.10000 and you better pay me back with interest. He pays her back with interest, in a flash. He goes on a flashback saying how he used to take Anjali to school as a little girl and what happened to the loving Anjali he always knew? He says he visited her hoping she would've changed from the wicked, rich one she has become - but says she still hasn't changed her haughty manners. Anjali pretends like she's not affected by what he says. Babu genuflects on Maya's feet before leaving.

(Here I have a question: Didn't Babu already give Devaki's husband the Rs.10000 in y'day's episode? Then, from where did he get another Rs.10000 to pay Anjali back if he only borrowed one Rs.10000 from his employer? Hmm.. what's going on? Director thoongittara?)

Maya asks Anjali after Babu leaves, why was Anjali rude with him and why did she have to take the money from him? To that Anjali responds this is the only way that I can stop him from going to the bar with this friends. If he has money on him, he'll naturally waste it on booze. She says the more a man is disrespected, the more it will make him aggressive to be a success in life and so on. She says people will achieve only when they move from their own land to a foreign one -- this doesn't make any sense to me. There are achievers either way.

Kaveri is shown waiting outside the mill with a large lunch box for her husband. The Union president walks by and asks her if they have any family in Madras. She says there are none. Then he does some Naradhar tricks. He tells her that Jeeva often gets mail from Madras to his factory address and in fact hands her an envelope that's just delivered for Jeeva. Kaveri is very upset and she rips it open. It has a novel titled (I think) "Lemuril Oru Kadhali". The book is signed "anbudan Supriya".
Reading this, Kaveri's water works start yet again.

Brief story for friday

--Joe/yamuna talk to the laundry worker in front of nalini's house and he tells that someone from pondicherry maya mills is coming and talking to nalini and it is suspicious. Also nalini has a child,he says.Now joe/yamuna suspect that nalini/ashok had a affair and they had a child.

--Registration ceremony for shopping complex. Sundaram is also there and after the transfer process is signed in anjali's name, chak wants to have a power of attorney for power over any further transfers. Sundaram tells anjali to read and then only sign but she signs anyway.

--Chak later tells ashok that he got the power signed as a protection if anjali creates some problem later.

--Maya tells anjali that you should not have signed the ower document. But anjali says the document is of no use because Raja is the true owner and not she and so what is the use of that document. Maya says I want to see Raja.Anjali says she will arrange that.

--Yamuna comes home in joe's bike and joe gives her a statue as a gift and says look at the previous statues that he has gifted and then she can understand. Ashok sees this lovey dovey talk and gets angry and shouts at yamuna when she comes home. She in turn talks about how bad ashok is by referring to the game played on anjali by associating nalini with some one in jail. Yamuna also shouts back at him and comes down to see anjali listening on the stairs.

--Now the scene is shown outside and yamna tries to avoid anjali but finally anjali tells her that she considered yamuna as the only sincere person in the house and now you have ditched me. She further says on her earlier statement,she believed ashok and she also gave herself to ashok. She says earlier she had not allowed him to touch her at al because she had suspected him.
Now anjali says she has lost all respect for yamuna and will never speak to her and walks away.
