Dumb question but why is the show called 'Saraswatichandra'?! Some might be feeling it should be called Pramadchandra or what not but the prominence of the title comes in to spotlight now more than ever.

Lets re-visit the synopsis:

Saraswathichandra is a poignant love story of two soul mates: Saras and Kumud, who are denied the joy of becoming one by destiny and tradition. Whenever they try to move away from each other, life keeps bringing them together again. Their love story goes through several ups and downs. Eventually Kumud gets married to someone else while Saras, out of unconditional love, decides to take care of her family and fulfil duties as the man in her life.

Isn't this what we are seeing in the show? Saras out of unconditional love is supporting Kumud through this so-called marriage with Pramad. Who have her the strength to stand up for herself? Saras! If Pramad is growing a liking towards Kumud, it is majorly Saras' doing. Till recently I wanted Kumud to hate Saras because of his actions but now he has all my sympathy. He is alone and even if he in pain, he won't show it because his feelings are unimportant to him. Now THAT is an author-backed role to me and that is why the show is called 'Saraswatichandra'. It was, is and always will remain Saras & Kumud's love story. Kumud may act unaffected right now but from where I see it both have kept those feelings hidden somewhere deep in the heart but that is not to say that when one bleeds, the other won't. That connection they will never share with anyone else and that's why it is a story of two soulmates who must keep distance yet are never distant enough.

What a positive post from you Reemz... Most of us have just given up all hope, especially after the recent spate of low-quality episodes (uninspired writing and clumsy execution, not the acting)... Hope they somehow manage to arrest the slide!
The story itself is as you say, an extreme and unusual love story... Copying something I posted elsewhere about the story...

At this point, the story reminds me of the Hindi movie called Raincoat which itself was loosely inspired by an O.Henry classic story (Gift of the Magi)...

In Gift of the Magi a young couple are to celebrate Xmas but have no money to buy presents, so each of them sells something most precious to them to buy a gift for the other one. She sells her long tresses, buys him a watch chain, he sells his watch to buy her hair ornaments!

Saras and Kumud are now in that perfect equilibrium of forfeiting each other to give the other one the chance to move on! 😭 Difficult to watch, but still addicted to it!

The forum badly needs posts like urs to boost our morale. I remember once kudus got married we got a tweet saying - SaMud will need our support as from now.
Now sure who tweeted tht but I think it's related to the track we r watching right now.
It's not easy to watch SaMud getting away from each other to b honest.
Lets c how much we can bear.
